A Nazi U-boat protruding from the ice in Antarctica... A group willing to kill to keep its secrets...
Zahra Kane is sent to investigate the World War II-era submersible on behalf of her new employer, the Tactical Archaeological Command. Inside, a coded document reveals a top-secret, subterranean facility deep in the desolate landscape. Accompanying the communique are the frozen remains of Allied and Axis superpowers.
Both sides were working together on something sinister.
The blank, icy canvas is transformed into a blood-red battlefield after the group responsible rises from the shadows and mobilizes a strike team to secure its long-lost research station, as well as a remnant far older than the Great Pyramid of Giza.

There were a few editing errors, and the spy in the group was easily picked out, but it was a mostly easy fun read despite the forced romance that thankfully never had time to go further than a little bad flirting.
Matt James and Nick Thacker create a new spin to Antarctica and Nazis. Zahra, Yana, and Hammet join forces to discover what has been hidden for years under the ice. They find links to Nazis, the secret society Sixth Seal, and plans to change the world. Will they survive all this, plus a discovery that changes everything. I look forward to Zahra, Yana, and Hammet continued search for answers before the Sixth Seal can carry out their plans for the world.
I had a hard time getting through the first 20% of the book, but once Zahra and her team came together, the story hooked me. The half-buried U-boat, the betrayals, and the hidden secrets kept the momentum going. While it doesn’t delve deeply into history, it makes up for it with plenty of twists, and the action scenes are well-placed and enjoyable.
However, I could have done without the inclusion of “those who shall not be named,” as it reminded me too much of Indiana Jones 4. The ending reveal was solid, but I feel it would have been more impactful if Tobias’ secret had been revealed gradually, piece by piece, throughout the book. That slow build-up would have added more drama and heightened the suspense.
Overall, it’s a good read, but I found myself wanting just a little bit more.
Lara Croft-like 'action woman' Zahra Kane is in Antarctic action with Hammet and Yana, to uncover not only a wartime Nazi facility under the ice, but a much older artefact that could change the world. Told in dual time-lines, the 1960s and the Present Day, The Sixth Seal is a covert organisation started by one of Himmler's deputies, who wants an ice-bound WWII U-boat that contains a life-lengthening formula. Will his men, Zahra's team or another group get there first? To discover the frozen finale, get your copy of Matt James and Nick Thacker's novel today!
4.5 stars rounded up. This thriller reminded me of an X-Files type of movie. You have a number of people all clamoring to discover some unique and special in Antarctica because a Nazi U-boat suddenly emerging from the coastal ice. On one side they approach this as something archeological, and the other side believes that there's something hush hush that could extend one's life. The X-Files part comes in when both sides discover what's so special about the Nazi special station.
Two great authors have put together a great story, which seems to beg for a continuing saga.
Antarctica is an extremely continent which we have all been taught but what might be under it? Germany was a country known for its precision and highly knowledgeable engineers and scientists in the 1920/30s .However political greed was used to cause War to develop which circle d the globe! During this period stories of possible riches in Antarctic caused these elements to undertake Exploration for their benefit and when the war ended to use these against their previous foes!
Zahra's living the life in paradise until her commander calls her and puts her together with a team. Her team consists of other nationalities and talents. Can her team form a bond and defeat a Nazi agenda that has been going on since before WWII? Or will the Nazis get their hands on the prize they've wanted for so long? Don't wait! Pick up your copy and find out as it's guaranteed to keep you wondering right up til the end!
Wow a mega ending I did not expect that A great read and very good storyline it the second book in the Zara Kane thrillers and I will be waiting for the next ones with batted breath
I enjoyed this book. If you like action thrillers with a little history & sci-fi thrown in without being heavy handed, you will enjoy it! Nothing deep, just entertaining, kind of like 007 Bond type stuff. Looking forward to the next book!
Thoroughly enjoyed the second installment in this series. I look forward to the continuation. Excellent story and believable. Matt and Nick rock on. More Zahra please.
The characters and their subtle complexities gave more than a few chuckles throughout the read. Throw in some aliens and some Nazis for a fun sci-fi adventure. The authors have a knack for producing a great visual read.
I loved the 1st book, but the 2nd... WOW! I laughed at so many times. Even though the hair-raising tale was as great as the 1st, I found that it was believable. Hopefully, much more to come .
I enjoyed the premise, but the descriptions of the main locations and the wonder they should give just is not there. Should have been more fun than it was.
It was an ok read but Zahra’s character is not very likeable nor relatable. One minute she’s with her head in the clouds the next she’s fighting the enemies. She doesn’t make sense. This is the second book in this series but I don’t think I’ll bother reading any more.
A great read. I love antartica stories and this one has nazis! Full of action and weird stuff. The characters are well fleshed out and fun to see interact with each other.
The book starts out interesting and holds your interest all throughout the story! Great depth and detail. It’s easy to picture what the writer is talking about.
