Salem has his own tales to tell "(and pet-care tips to share)" in these new stories! ""I bet they didn't disinfect the table. I'm going to get a disease." -- Salem"
It's time to go the veterinarian. Yikes! Salem knows that a visit to the vet when he's not sick means only one thing: shots. Even though Aunt Zelda warns Salem that he'll be sorry if he doesn't agree to get his shots, Salem refuses to let the needle touch him. He throws his best cat-tantrum until the aunts give up to take him home.
But Aunt Zelda was right. Warlocks turned into cats have to get shots like any other feline -- or face the consequences. Since Salem wouldn't cooperate, he has become allergic to the Spellmans! He's sneezing and itching uncontrollably! Now he has to get an allergy shot every day or move out. Will Salem leave the Spellmans forever...or will he decide that they are worth a shot?

Once a book I received when I was a small child, one that I should have read then but now, close to 25 years later I finally go to read this book seeing if this is truly something I would give a child to read today and at what reading level?
This book surprisingly held up better than I thought it would. This is a simple chapter book that I think can be good for any young adult, but with words I would say are about a late 3rd to 4th-grade level (if we are using Percy Jackson as a 5.1 read level)
As for the story it was still interesting as an adult, and I would be interested in look and reading the whole series. This story was wholesome and fun. And the image in the corner, I remembered flipping the pages for that more than anything since I loved watching the image move. It was what my ADAH brain wanted more than reading the book when I was a young child so many years ago that now I truly get to enjoy.
After reading this book, which abounds in trivia, one true story at a time, you'll have a lot to say! It's like learning about these animals for the first time, even if you thought you knew it all! Where else can you get such remarkable stories about the wit and wisdom of the animal world! Some of the animals you've met, such as the owl, crow, sea gull, opossum, hawk, skunk and squirrel. Others include the baboon, moose, wolf, hyena, mongoose, leopard and more. Read about the hyena that plays dead to avoid an attacker, polar bears out in 200 miles of open sea, leopards training their young to climb trees. The author collects data not only from his own observations(which are many), but from friends, novelists, rangers, etc. And the locations are all around the world. Standard facts as life cycles, prey, habits and vocal abilities are included as well. Line drawing illustrations.
