Tattooed Mind is book two in the Tattooed series by Elamy Pride. This is Pete and Gavin’s story. I didn’t think I would fall for Pete as much as I did but how could I not?

Pete Cliffer is twenty five years old. He is Drew from the first book’s younger brother. Pete is like a huge ray of sunshine that never dims. He’s also clumsy like crazy which often seems to get him in trouble. Or cost him jobs which he needs.

Gavin Savenger is thirty seven years old and is the owner of his own tattoo shop. Gavin is the complete opposite of Pete. He’s a huge man, gaining Pete’s nickname “Grumpy Bear.” The grumpy part is also true because Gavin lives with what seems to be a permanent scowl. But no one really knows why, he keeps his past darkness a secret from everyone. Gavin has an alcohol addiction but is ten years sober. He also lives with the reason for that addiction and the guilt he still carries all these years later.

“The guy is the physical embodiment of the sun, whereas I prefer the shadows. I just know if I get too close, I’m going to get burned.”

Pete makes his interest in Gavin very obvious from the start. But Gavin is determined to keep his darkness away from Pete. He’s also convinced that he is way too old for him. But, when Gavin is getting buried in the administrative side of his business, Ryan, one of his employees, brings in Pete for the job so now trying to avoid him becomes impossible. Pete’s sunshine is slowly melting Gavin’s icy shell and he just can’t stay away any longer. But, he knows, it’s only a matter of time until Pete realizes that Gavin could never really be good enough for him.

These two got to me more than I thought they would. At first, Pete came across as a completely scatter brained man with no direction. But in truth, he was the strongest of them all. He just hadn’t found the right fit yet. But he found it working for Gavin’s shop and with the employees there that were more like family. He also found it with Gavin. The ending was so sweet and the way Pete was there for Gavin was so endearing. The next book will be Roman and Carter’s book in Tattooed Soul.

So so fortunate to have been given an ARC to read, I started it right away. I didn’t read the first in the series, but it works as a standalone, although now that I’m finished with book 2, I want to go back and read book 1 and definitely read book 3 when it comes out.

This is a new author(s) for me, and I’m so happy to have started with my favorite trope of Sunshine x Grump and this is the sunshiniest sunshine and the grumpiest grump. I love their nicknames for each other, Grumpy Bear and Jellybean.

“His grumpiness speaks to me. He needs sunshine in his life, even if he doesn’t realize it. I want to get to know him to see if I’m right. I think he has pain in his heart, and I want to bring him the joy he needs.”

Pete loses his job at the library on the first day, and ends up getting a job at the tattoo shop. Pete uses this opportunity to flirt and advance his relationship with Gavin, the owner of the tattoo shop and his crush. Can Pete’s sunshine brighten Gavin’s gloom?

There are parts of the book that I especially loved reading about, like mental health and depression representation, and how when Gavin talked about his dark past, he mentioned how back then it wasn’t really something people took that much notice of in the way it is now in the most recent years.
I think it’s so easy for the maybe 30 something and late 20s to say, ok you’re having issues, talk to a therapist, get some help, but those who are older don’t really find it easy to do. So I think having a character find it hard and then being able to accept help, helps other people to realize that maybe they, too, can seek out the support they need. I mean having Pete the sunshine as your boyfriend definitely helps.

The spice in this book is choreographed in a way that I had personality never encountered in books or real life, so due to that I’d say the spice factor is a 5 for originality and fun.

There are many parts of the book that surprised me or made me laugh out loud.

I’m definitely looking forward to reading book three, Tattooed Soul, and finding out more about Carter and Roman.

I am in love with this series, the characters and the author duet who are writing the stories so beautifully. I was so excited to read Pete & Gavin's story since we met them in the first book and this story didn't disappoint me.

I love the grumpy x sunshine trope and Pete & Gavin were just so amazing together, I devoured this book in one sitting. Pete is the epitome of sunshine and he falls for grumpy bear Gavin from the moment he meets him, he just knows he is his soulmate or the daddy to his fur babies 😂😂 But Gavin has his issues and he thinks that his darkness will take out all of Pete's sunshine, but once he realises that he can't control his attraction towards Pete and want him to be a part of his life things between them starts to change.

Pete & Gavin had amazing chemistry, I loved how Gavin took care of Pete and was supportive of his dreams and the change in him after they started dating was beautiful to witness. Also, I loved Gavin's journey towards healing and becoming his best self for Pete and how Pete was beside him always. Pete is my favourite character in this series.

Overall I enjoyed this book and recommend you to check it out as well also looking forward to Carter & Roman's story.

* I received an ARC copy from Indie Author Creatives and this is my honest review *

I had the pleasure of reading this book as it was written and it was so fun to slowly discover what these two characters got up to! This is the second book in the series and can be read as a standalone but you do see characters from book 1 so recommend that book as well!

Gavin and Pete were so fun together. They were the definition of grumpy/sunshine. I loved how Pete was never afraid to be himself and never lost his sunshine no matter what. It was amazing to see Gavin finally let Pete in and let go of the past that was weighing him down.

For the most part this book was super fun and we got to know the characters really well. At the end we do get some angst but it ends with such an amazing HEA!

If you enjoy workplace romances, grumpy/sunshine with a ton of laughs, a sprinkle of frustration, some angst and amazing sexy times then I absolutely recommend this book!

This story!!! After reading Tattooed Heart, I was so looking forward to this story, and it turned out to be even better than I thought ♥️

Grumpy/Sunshine is a great trope, throw in age gap and I’m down 😍 The story is written beautifully, with some snark, swoony moments and a sprinkle of angst. Not to heavy on the angst, but it’s there ♥️

These two just stole my heart! Love the banter and chemistry between them ♥️

Did I mention the sizzling hotness??? With teasing and 🍑 eating??? I felt like I was being edged reading this book! 🫦 And don’t get me started on the dirty talk 🔥

There’s some twists in here that made the story unique in my opinion, but I’m not gonna spoil anything ♥️

I genuinely loved this book: the characters, the plot, the epilogue; I think these two authors will give us some other very good stories in the future

I loved Gavin: honestly I didn't expect so much suffering in his past, he went through a lot and he had to deal with too many losses (Adam's death was the final straw to my heart and was very hard to read). I think the authors did a very good job describing his addiction and how he got there; I also appreciated that he didn't give in to his attraction to Pete too soon;

I loved Pete, he was such a wonderful young man; he did everything right, there's not a single thing I would change about him, I love his personality, how he cares about others and how he loves unconditionally;

The side characters are great too and I cannot wait to know more about Roman. Carter is amazing and I loved his spontaneous relationship with Pete;

I particularly appreciated that the authors suggested therapy for Gavin and that we could see that he actually did that (as long as AA meetings); I believe it's good to remember the importance of mental health and how it's necessary for it to be taken care of.

I selfishly hope we won't to wait too much for Roman's story, I'm dying to know more.

Definitely recommended

We know from book one that Pete has a huge crush on Gavin but we also know that Gavin is a locked vault. He is private and always looks sad. Not even Gavin can resist Pete's radiant sunshine. He lights up every dark corner. These two just worked together, Gavin's defences melted and he found solace and love again. There are some really deep emotions throughout and Pete is just perfect at supporting Gavin. There is an incident that turns Gavin's world upside down, again. This is the catalyst that gives Gavin the greenlight to divulge all of his secrets and feelings and get the help he deserves. There are lots of steamy scenes with these two, including a standing sixty nine. The epilogue was brilliant and finished their story so well. I'm looking forward to reading book 3.

Arc audio review

Story = 5 stars
Narration = 4 stars

This can be read as a standalone. I have apparently read book 1 but I don't remember it and I didn't feel lost at all.

I enjoyed both of the MCs. Pete is sweet and a bit of a basket case but knows what he wants and doesn't give up, that includes his insta crush on Gavin who is grumpy and pushes all his advances away but only due to his painful past. Even though Pete doesn't know this info, he sees right through Gavins walls and knows he is sweet and deserving of love. I loved Pete's sunshine happy and fun attitude and especially his feistiness. I felt bad for Gavin and hoped he could give love another chance. I thought they were perfect for each other.

This was a quick read and fast paced especially near the end. I would have liked a little more on page relationship development and character development especially with Gavin. What we are given was great though, so I didn't have it in me to lower my rating to anything but a solid 5. There is the perfect amount of steam for this story. It is a bit of a slow burn but there is some decent steamy scenes if you are into that, though I found it a pretty low steam story. I really enjoyed listening to this and did so in one listen. I will definitely be listening to it again in the future.

There is some angst near the end and I appreciated that as someone in mental health. There is no magic fix for trauma and asdiction and in the real world there are natural ups and downs and it's a constant struggle and hard work u got to fight for even when your life is great. I appreciate the author keeping things real.

I really enjoyed all the side characters in this book. Although I don't remember book 1, I apparently liked this book more than the first based on my review but after getting to know the side characters more now, I want to go back and reread book 1. They are a fun group of friends.

The narrator is a slow talker so I did have to speed it up 1.6x. He did sound age appropriate for the roles so that was a plus. He did a decent job expressing all the emotions and he did give all of the characters, not just the 2 MCs, their own distinct voice, that made it easy to tell them apart and made it easy to follow the story. However, Pete was very nasal sounding. It wasn't very pleasant to listen to IMO. Can we please have a feisty twink character that is artistic and smart without them sounding like the stereotypical nerd that is overdone. The other characters sounded ok. Overall, the narration didn't wow me but it was an ok listen. Bonus points for the narrator singing and sounding decent. Though I question how Pete can be a good singer but not a good talker.

Review for (Tattooed Mind-2) Tattooed Mind by Elamy Pride

I now have to read the first book in this series by Elamy Pride. I fell into this audiobook hard. I became invested from the first page to the last. Pete & Gabin were necessary to help Gavin heal from his many ups and downs with addiction and survivor's guilt. It's hard to lose someone you love or care about, so then you can feel the survivor's guilt because why were you picked to live when they weren't? I cried, and if you make me cry in a book, then that shows what a fantastic story it is. I loved the narrator, Sion Hardd. Never listen to them before this book. I hope to hear more from Sion Hardd in the future. This story had very sad times, but also had a healing aspect with the help of someone who looks out for you in the end. Elamy Pride has become an author; I look forward to future books.

**Audiobook Review**

This is my first time with this author and I'm hooked. I absolutely enjoyed Tattooed Mind. I didn't get to read book 1 but it's all good because reading/listening to book 2, I wasn't lost in the sauce. Totally can be a standalone. This really was feel good listen...hilarious at times...I absolutely love Pete's sunshiny personality. He saw Gavin...his grumpy bear and it was all over...no matter what Gavin said...Pete was gonna get his man...and mannnnnnnnnnnnnn did he. Gavin had some serious issues but he is surrounded by so many good ppl for support and now he has Pete...his jellybean...**swoon**...I loved this and highly recommend to all who love romances.

After loving Tattooed Hearts I was looking forward to Pete and Gavin's story and it did not disappoint. This series has just something so enjoyable, it is super easy to read, even when I missed stuff, or even if I don't love certain things I just love reading it.

I love how Pete never gave up on his pursuit to bring sunshine to Gavin's life, and I love seeing Gavin failing to keep it at bay, grunts and all included.

Great start to the year!

Audiobook - wonderful narration, including some really fitting voices and sound effects.
Story - While Pete isn't quite the character type that I generally like, his relentless positivity was really the only way to get through to Gavin. This story was more about big feelings than a lot of plot, but that was really fitting, considering the depth of Gavin's struggles.

I just knew this book was right up my street when I read the blurb! This book as opposites attract with Gavin being a grumpy grump and Pete being a walking disaster of sunshine. It took some work on Pete’s side but he eventually got Gavin to let him in. If like me you love grumpy grumps, opposites attract and size difference, then this one’s for you!

Tattooed Mind

Pete is so clumsy and it shows the first time he meets Gavin! He lights up any room he goes in. And everyone loves him. He’s sweet, and funny and his clumsiness is enduring! How can anyone not like him?

Gavin is a grumpy bear who owns a tattoo shop which I found fitting for him! He’s a sweet man with a sad past! Addiction and trauma is not easy! I’m just happy he meets someone that helps him actually live instead of just survive! He deserves his HEA!

I really liked this book along with the first in the series Tattooed Heart! Love the writing duo that is Elamy Pride and their writing!

I don’t usually read short book and didn’t know this was a short book when I signed up for an ARC so I’m taking that into consideration.
The beginning of the story was cute. I liked their initial meeting and Pete unrepentantly chasing Gavin. I enjoyed the backstory of Gavin’s trauma and substance use problems. I wish there was more depth to their story but that’s to be expected for a short book. The inclusion of the dreams makes the slight slow burn easier to tolerate. The spice was fun.

I’m going to be vague to avoid spoilers. My biggest complaint is that the event that happens the night of the hospital was brushed over. It’s a giant deal given that it ruins something that had been ongoing for many years. There was no response that was appropriate and it was treated like an oops which makes no sense. The rebound would not have been such smooth sailing.

Pete makes it blatantly obvious he's into Grumpy Bear Gavin. Gavin shuts the sunshiny Pete down as too young but Pete is persistent. Gavin has a lot of issues while Pete is just plain klutzy but they are a great couple. Their interactions are fun and everyone is rooting for them. It's a sweet book with a little drama and lots of pursuing on Pete's part. I received a copy of this book through Booksprout and this is my voluntary opinion.

**Tattooed Mind comes with a couple of content warnings regarding addiction, off page deaths of family/loved ones, hospitalisation due to drugging**
This made for an emotional read as Gavin carries the weight of the world of his shoulders, with grief, being ten years sober but still fighting that urge on a daily basis, and basically living in the darkness. That all changes upon meeting Pete who is the complete antithesis of Gavin. The world brightens just having him step into a room and he's open, willing to help and a joy to be around but Gavin doesn't deserve any of that, or so he tells himself but he hasn't bet on Pete and his determination to make Gavin his very own Grumpy Bear.
Those parts make for an entertaining read but it's when Gavin is fighting his own desire for the younger man, reliving his past or fighting the bottle that has the story in a darker place. Pete is tenacious, though, and it's heartwarming to see the changes having that right person in your life can bring. That doesn't stop troubles coming their way but they have an amazing support in the crew from the tattoo shop that Gavin owns and Pete's family and best friend, Jordan, who I am hoping we hear more from soon.
An emotional read that can be tough in places but it's well balanced by Pete's sunshine and the heat that the two men share.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Oh my God, this book was a gem! Gavin and Pete's story was sweet and romantic, but heartbreaking at the same time. Pete was heaven-sent to fucking brighten Gavin's life!

After 20 years filled with guilt, Gavin can finally be free. I was amazed he could survive that long without wanting to commit suicide.

Gavin's life was miserable and full of grief, which was an understatement. He lost his parents when he was just 6 years old. His grandparents took care of him, but 10 years later, his grandma passed away. At 19 years old, he met Adam. Adam became Gavin's whole world, but Adam was in the closet. After 1 year of a secret relationship, Adam's dad caught them kissing and blowing a gasket and beat Adam almost to death. When Adam was in bed at his home resting after the beating, he took his own life and Gavin found out that Adam's life was full of sorrows and Gavin's life would never be the same. He was grieving alone and getting drunk to ease the pain when his grandpa passed away, and that moment felt like an eye-opener for Gavin to rearranging his life back on track and stay sober.

Gavin and Pete were already dating when someone roofied Pete's drink when their groups attended JACKS for Nyx's (Gavin's employee's) birthday party. When Gavin saw Pete pass out, it reminded him of Adam, and that brought back the memory he tried to bury come back to life. Instead of staying in the hospital, Gavin thought he was the one to blame and ran away, going back to his drinking habit again. What I admired about Pete was that he was a tough young man who was driven and determined to prove to Gavin that he was worth Pete's love and affection. After Gavin and Pete had heart-to-heart talks about his parents, his grandparents, and Adam, Pete was more determined than ever to help Gavin with the help of Gavin's employees.

Now, Gavin's life was brighter, and he was a changed man. He was a better person, a better boss, a better friend, and the best partner to Pete. Thank fuck the author didn't forget about the culprit who roofied Pete's drink; he was arrested.

The next book will be about Carter and Ryan's ex-con brother, Roman, who became roommates. Roman was in jail for a long time, and it makes me wonder what type of crime he committed, and he insisted that he was innocent. I can't hardly wait!

WHERE DO I START? WHERE DO I START?

At the beginning, obviously, but... how? Ok, let's try this:

I haven't read an Elamy Pride book before. I haven't read the blurb, I just saw the cover and the title, and I said, "Eh, why not?". Idk why I expected a motorcycle g@ng or something, but it was not that. I'm not disappointed, it was better.

Pete is our main character, and he is sunshine personified. For real, this guy is just so, so full of light and love. He is adorable and funny. He is quirky and so sweet. He is everything that's good in the world. He is also very aware of his type, and he won't back down from a challenge. That challenge being Gavin, his exact type. A sexy grumpy bear. Yeah, when our boy Pete set his sight on Gavin, it was game over for our brooding boss.

Gavin is the exact opposite of Pete... or so he thought. He is darkness and pain. He is heartbreak and loneliness all wrapped up in this delicious package created specifically after Pete's hearts desires.

Their relationship starts slow, but when they finally get together, it is so beautiful to witness. I am glad, and I know Gav is, too, that Pete didn't give up on him. He truly needed someone to show him the path back to light, to life. Gavin went through so much heartbreak in his life, Pete and I are in awe that he managed that... but this just shows how strong our grumpy bear really is.

This book is very character driven. The relationship between these two, as I said, is beautiful, but the found family is also amazing. All the people from the salon are just such great people, and I was always happy when we got to spend time with them as well. I never felt like their addition to the story took away from our time with Pete and Gavin. It was the opposite, actually.

This book talks about heavy topics like loss of parents, loss of family, loss of love due to su!c!d3 ( not described in detail ), and addition. These heavy topics just show us another side of the characters. It shows us how there is always light at the end of the road if you are brave enough to walk the walk.

I am so glad I gave this story a chance. I am so glad I got to read about Pete and Gavin and about this amazing found family. I will read the rest of the series, that's for sure.

I highly recommend this book, 5/5

Peter and Gavin: Enjoyable, inspiring, and at times deeply touching story of love

Tags: opposite attracts, witty and entertaining, a hint of darkness and complex issues, riveting, heartwarming, steamy, no cliffhanger.
Usually, I don't read books in sequential order. However, intrigued by the first book, I started the Tattooed Mind immediately after I finished it. And it did not disappoint.
Charming, funny, and moving at the same time, this novel is a story of hope, fierce determination, and a sunny disposition taking over deep trauma and darkness.
Though both main characters appeared in the previous book, the writer gave them enough context to read the story as a stand-alone.
"He's all sunshine and rainbows next to my gloom and thunderclouds" covers both main characters accurately. Peter is all sunshine, quirky, outspoken, and clumsy. He is attracted to Gavin from the very first moment they meet. As his opposite, Gavin is older, mysterious, grumpy, unapproachable, and carrying a lot of past issues into his present. He is a recovered alcoholic who never got over the traumatic loss of his lover.
"I also see how high and thick the walls Gavin built around his heart are. I can't go in like a wrecking ball. Miley Cyrus did and look what happened there." I love the masterful intertwining of humor and wit with deep emotions and heartbreaking trauma that made me laugh and swoon at times and shed tears at others. The Tattooed Mind is a balanced, touching and entertaining tale of the power of determination, persistence, understanding, and unconditional love, overcoming the darkness of hurt and trauma.
This novel will appease a broad spectrum of reading preferences, from fans of heartwarming romance to seekers of darker novels covering complex issues and emotions.

Tattooed Mind is the second in their Tattooed series, and is a welcome return to the Savage Ink crew.
While the books stands alone, I recommend reading Tattooed Heart to get Drew and Ryan’s full story- it’s a beautiful story of an estranged couple finding their way back together and so, so good! We got a hint of this book’s couple when Drew’s sunshiny baby brother Pete took an instant liking to Ryan’s more subdued boss Gavin.
How could you not love Pete? Since witnessing his over the top, unabashed flirting with Gavin during game night, I was in love. Pete is a klutz of epic proportions and his exploits are hysterical. After getting fired from his most recent job, he ends up as a receptionist at Savage Ink. It’s a job he thrives at - and watching him tease Gavin into finally making a move is entertaining. (Plus, I love that Pete is such a kind soul refuses to use sweet Ash to make Gavin jealous.)
Gavin doesn’t think he deserves this shimmering ray of sunshine, but Pete is not easily deterred. As Gavin slowly reveals his painful history, it draws them closer. The mental health representative here is so well done. Gavin is older, and therapy wasn’t common when he was a child who’d lost his parents. Ensuing losses just added to his trauma, so it’s cathartic to see him finally share and realize he isn’t alone.
There is a scary event that tests both of them late in the book, but they come out stronger because of conversations it sparks.
Plus I loved seeing Drew and Ryan so happy! And Ryan’s brother Roman is an interesting addition to their group. I’m looking forward to reading more of this series -it’s just so enjoyable!
And the HEA between Jellybean and his not-so-Grumpy Bear? Just perfect.

Grumpy Bear and the Klutz (an audio review)

I’m always hesitant to call someone a klutz. But if the shoe fits…

Pete’s clumsiness lands Gavin with a lapful of chicken wings – and in need of a ride home to change his clothes.

Pete to the rescue.

The initial lap incident happened in book 1, so I’ve been waiting for book 2 to be released on audio for some time and I’m so glad it has been!

Okay…so Pete’s a bit of a disaster area. He’s also optimistic, sunshine, and the most loving guy you could ever meet. When he sets his sights on Gavin, the man doesn’t stand a chance. That doesn’t mean, however, that he isn’t constantly fighting the attraction. Gavin tragically lost someone in his life years ago and after finding solace in the bottom of a bottle, he isn’t certain he’s worthy of redemption.

Except now he’s sober and running a tattoo parlor employing a wide variety of people – including ones from the LGBTQ community.

People love him – even if he denies it. Denies himself to pleasure of the company of friends. Tries to deny the joy of Pete.

This is definitely a grumpy/sunshine story and, as I hoped, Pete gets his way in the end. I mean, this wouldn’t be an Elamy Pride book if I didn’t get my happy ending.

Sion Harrd is a new narrator to me and I’ll say he did a really good job. Gavin’s deep voice suits a grumpy bear. Pete is slightly nasally, but it certainly didn’t detract from my enjoyment. I really hope there’s more to come!

Tattooed Mind - Elamy Pride
Narrated by Sion Hardd
5/5✨🌟

* SPOILERS *

First off, I read the first book and absolutely loved it, so I knew I had to read this one, and what a rollercoaster this was. To be honest, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel because I’ve listened to this narrator and man Sion knocked this out of the park. The way he narrated both characters was just perfection.

I wasn’t sure either smiling, laughing (which I did a lot), or damn, crying. The one scene when Gavin poured his heart out when he told his past to Pete, I cried like a damn baby.

Pete and Gavin were so perfect. I loved how they came up with the cutest nicknames for one another… Jellybean and Grumpy Bear. Pete was the sunshine that Gavin needed from everything that he has been through in his life. I loved how determined Pete was to get his man no matter the cost.

And Jordan… god, I love him so much. He’s the perfect roommate and friend for Pete. I love how protective he got over Gavin hurting him. I need to read his book because he’s such a fun character.

So much happens but everything hits you right. This book had me yearning for more and more, making it worth the wait. Also, the found family is so good, and I cannot wait for Carter’s story because it’s going to be epic!

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Gavin Savenger is the big grumpy bear owner of Savage Ink, and he is drowning in his workload, he needs an assistant.

Pete Cliffer is a force of nature. A self confessed twink, and a walking disaster. Trying to hold down a job when you're that disastrous is difficult. He tends to make mistakes and then gets fired. Could Pete be what Gavin needs.

Gavin and Pete have met before at ‘Game Night’, where all the employees, friends and family of Savage Ink get together. They are both very attracted to each other. Gavin will not let anything happen as he doesn't want Pete to be dragged down with all his baggage. Pete slowly claws his way into Gavins life.

I have read all the Tattooed series now by Elamy Pride, even if i did read them in the wrong order.
These books are full of strong characters with hearts of gold. Pete is fierce and doesn't let anyone stand in his way. Gavin is a teddy bear who just wants to be loved but is scared to let others in.
This opposites attract, size difference romance has such an appeal that you just need to read it.

Thanks to @gay.romance.reviews for the ALC! Let’s start with the story — it was way deeper than I expected. The themes of loss, addiction, and substance abuse were portrayed so well throughout the book. You could feel Gavin’s pain in almost every chapter; it was raw and heartbreaking. He truly broke my heart more than once.

And then there’s Pete — basically Gavin’s complete opposite. He’s carefree, spontaneous, and has this light energy that perfectly balances Gavin’s darkness. That contrast between them made their dynamic so fascinating and emotional. The way their worlds collide and start to heal each other? Perfection.

Also the narration! Like, yes, it’s amazing. The narration feels so natural, with layered sound effects and vocal tone changes that make the whole experience super immersive. And oh my god, I actually jumped when the squeaky dog toy sound popped up — I was not ready for that 😂. The narrator did a phenomenal job, especially during the spicy scenes… let’s just say, he nailed it.

Overall, this was a powerful, emotional listen with an unexpected amount of depth — I loved it.

MM Tattooed hot men

Although reading the first book is not needed, it does set up the world around the tattoo parlour, in book two we meet Pete and Gavin, Gavin is the owner of the Tattoo Parlour, whilst Gavin is a brother in law to one of the tattooist.

I love that it’s a grumpy/sunshine story at its best, you couldn't get more sunshine than Peter, and Gavin was the biggest grump going, but with good reason. Great story, would highly recommend.

Both men have good character backgrounds, and I love how the story brings in all the characters we've met from the previous book; however, you can read this as a standalone.

Sion Hardd did an great job of narrating this book. As usual, I sped up the recording to 1.20 on Audible.

I’ve been waiting for this audio since I listened to Tattooed Heart. Just as book one, this one had me so emotional.

Gavin was in so much pain. Losing the person he loved most in such a horrible way, was heartbreaking. Living with that guilt for so long really took a toll on him. It hurt my heart and soul.

Pete was exactly what Gavin needed in his life. Someone who would brighten his shadows and inject some happiness into it. No matter how hard he tried, Pete wouldn’t let him push him away.

A disaster waiting to happen, Pete came into Gavin’s life and took root in it. He wanted Gavin and nobody, not even Gavin himself would stop him from getting his man.

This was a very heartfelt and relatable story. Alcoholism is no joke. I have full respect for Gavin. He managed to stay sober on his own for such a long time. It really takes a strong person to deal with such a terrible disease by themselves and still come up on top.

Can’t wait to read Roman and Cater’s book. I should stack up on Kleenex because I have a feeling I’m gonna need them.

"It's like every person that left me has tattooed a piece of themselves on my mind, each of them live there permanently."

This is book 2 in the series, Tattooed, by the writing duo named Elamy Pride. When I listened to book 1 this writing duo was new to me and I was excited to get book 2. This story was narrated by Sion Hardd who did an amazing job on this one like he did in book 1. I know several reviews dinged his OTT narration but I didn't mind it a bit, I sang along and walked on some sunshine myself.

Pete reminded me of me, an accident waiting to happen or as my friends used to say, "you're the place where accidents come to happen". Lol. How can you not want to love him?

A damaged man who thinks he doesn't deserve this sunshiny man, 12 year age gap, grumpy/sunshine, hurt/comfort

I can't wait to hear Carter and Roman in the next book in the series.

JIC - Be sure to check out the trigger warnings for this book.

Pete Cliffer will do just about anything to make big grumpy bear Gavin Savenger fall in love with him. Gavin's life is a never-ending battle with addiction and the guilt of losing someone he loved. Pete has a beautiful light to his soul and the last thing he needs is to try to take Gavin out of his darkness, but like a moth to a flame, Gavin goes to him and can only pray his light is bright enough to keep his darkness from swallowing them whole.

I loved this story with the determined Pete who knew they belonged together and the tormented and reluctant Gavin who didn't want to damage Pete. Pete had hidden depths and levels which was shown with his steadfast support of Gavin facing his problems. Lots of emotions and insecurities in this story which were clear enough to make you emotions. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.
