Kathryn: Starting over in a small town hasn't been easy, not with the threat of Hunter still lurking. Then I run into him—the man who turned my world upside down one fateful night six months ago. It was supposed to be just one night, no strings, nothing personal.

Jace: I never thought I would see her again. Here she is, living in my town. It has been four years since I have let myself feel this way about a woman, but something keeps pulling me to her like this invisible force. I have to have her, no matter the cost.
In the enchanting small town of LiveOak, Kathryn turns to a fresh start, hoping to leave behind her tainted past. Little did she know that fate had something extraordinary in store for her. Enter Jace Dixon, a brooding yet enigmatic local who wears his past traumas like impenetrable armor. An invisible connection pulls them together, and Kat and Jace find themselves embarking on an emotional rollercoaster ride.

Kat is determined to assert her newfound independence, guarding her heart from any potential harm. But Jace, even though silently yearning for Kat’s affection, is unwilling to let go of his past to embrace a future filled with happiness. Together, they collide in a turbulent dance, their hearts locked in a magnetic tug-of-war.

As their fiery connection intensifies, the lines between love and hate blur, morphing their relationship into a battlefield of angst and passion. Amidst their internal conflicts, an unexpected twist unfurls when Hunter, a figure from Kathryn’s past, resurfaces. Leaving Jace to question if their love can survive this emotional rollercoaster.

In "Meant to be Tied," a tale of enemies and lovers, the sparks between Kat and Jace soar, igniting a slow-burning love story that defies all odds. Will they be able to mend their broken pasts and forge a future intertwined with unbreakable bonds? Or will the shadows of their history tear them apart, leaving their hearts forever tethered to pain and regret?

I received the arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Meant to be tied is the second book from the Meant to be series and it begins where we left off in the first one .So I advise anyone who wants to read this ,to read the first one first for better understanding.
Kat is a warrior! There's no better way to say it . She kept pushing through the bad memories and searching for a better and peaceful life . I'm so happy she found it !
Jace is a sweetheart. Single dad , hard working, broody cowboy who likes it a little rough in the sheets!? Where do I sign to get myself one ?
I think their relationship could have been a little on the slow burn side , but that's just me . I like to see the main characters bursting with anticipation.
Just like in the first one ,I loved the friendship in this book . Those girls are ride or die best friends and I love it !
A small town romance full of spice , angst and more importantly, love ❤️.

I’m back with my latest read of the day this book is coming from @moniqueshepherd_author . I’m on her ARC team so I got a copy of the second book in this series and let me tell you guys it did not disappoint me at all I love the beginning, middle, and the end of the story. This book series is so written by a fantastic author I can’t wait to read more of her stuff that she has coming out and I can’t wait for book three in this book series. I’m glad the main character had found happiness after everything she has been through and she finally found her home. I hope that we can get more of her friends and his brother story I love how they all got along together. And Jace (main male character in the book) helps her get over her fear of her ex-boyfriend. #10starreview in my eyes⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the latest release from the wonderful Monique Shepherd. Book 2 in the “Meant to be” Series.

If you haven’t read “Meant to be Damned” yet, please read it before you read this one. (Check the trigger warnings first)

This book follows Kat as she picks up the pieces of her life in a small town in Texas, she meets single dad Jace, who has trauma of his own. The book shows how they learn to let down the walls they have built to let each other in. It is beautifully written, taking you on an emotional, spicy, cowboy infused, rollercoaster you don’t want to ever get off.

This is a story of love, family, friendship and learning to trust again and I can’t wait for the next book!!

Monique Shepherd is easily an auto buy author for me and I guarantee you, if you read these books, she will be an auto buy author for you too!!

OH. MY. GOD.

Where do I even begin!!! It was so nice to see Ryn (Kat) and Jace’s story develop and come together. Holy hotness!!! Like Jace is my new book boyfriend!! 🔥🔥🔥

I’m so happy Ryn got to move on with her life and into a life she so deserved. Although it was an emotional roller coaster, she got the ending she needed and whole heartedly deserved.

As for Hunter……ughhhhh. I have some colorful choice words I’m not allowed to say here so I’ll keep that opinion to myself.

Great freaking book!!! I loved it more than book 1 and holy crap I can’t wait for book 3!!!

I liked this book in the series better than the first. It was a sweet story with a little mystery thrown in. As someone who enjoys a good thriller part of me wanted more of the thrill, however, what we did see in this novel was exciting! I loved the main characters and their energy together was so exciting and I wanted more! Can’t wait to read another book in this series.

Ryn n Jace were so beautiful together. Ryn had suffe-red a lot..we know that due of book 1. She's brok-en..but this book is all about how she again becomes wholesome and finally gets the love she knew she deserved and which was rightfully hers..

Jace was and became everything for Ryn, her mystery man, kind of landlord, lover, protector, friend, EVERYTHING !!! When he asks her "what did he do to you,Ryn??" I could feel his protectiveness n care towards Ryn!! His words that he will spend every day making sure how much she means to him were fantastic.. and he kept his word and he meant it.. after all they were meant to be tied together for ever and ever!!

Mer was such a good true friend.. initially I was sceptical that maybe she'd turn into an ow n all that drama n all.. but no... she was really a true friend of Jordan and Jace and then didn't hesitate to be a friend to Ryn as well.

Paisley was adorbs!!! Such a lovely fiesty girl!!

And Jordan's letter was soulful!! I was cr-ying reading those lovely words!!

And then Cain n Sawyer and Tara and Nessa !! Can't wait to read their lovely books!!!

And then finally there's Hunter !! He made me doubt him in this book.. I was so sca-red.. but then like Ryn said he should be given a little grace and I'm here only to find out whether he redeems himself and finds his own grace!!

First off this is book 2 in the Meant to Be Series. So if you have not read book 1 (Meant to be Damned, go read that one first! You won’t be disappointed). And now for my review of Meant to be Tied. If you are loving the enemies to lovers trope this is going to be your jam. Sprinkle in some cowboy love, some trauma, and some spice, and you have a mixture for a good time. Also as a Swiftie, I completely love the references that Monique Shepherd always slips in her books. I love the addition of new characters, especially Penelope. Watching a character that I grew attached to in the first book (Kat) learning to lower her walls a little and also being able to break through Jace’s walls is quite a nice turn. It’s well paced and I was never bored. I kept turning the pages wanting to know the result of this love story.

This is book 2 on the meant to be series. To read this book make sure you read book one: Mean To Be Damned first.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️.5

“You’re not broken, Ryn. And I will break through any barrier, just like you’ve crashed through mine.”

I don’t know where to start, honestly I’m speechless. She did it AGAIN, just amazing. Every chapter, every scene, every story. My god this book is just as good and the first one. It will reap your heart OUT and put it back again. Monique is the queen of reaping my heart out, but at least she heals it before ending.

An emotional rollercoaster, this book will suck you in from the very first page to the very last one. The story/plot on this books is so well written, every chapter will take you to a new world of wanting to know what’s going to happen. Specially after Kat went through so much in her life. Her new cowboy, this sweet cowboy she met months ago is back in her life and she can’t trust anybody after the betrayal she went through, and Jace our MMC is to d1e for still hurting about his wife death, finds himself fighting to move forward with someone else. It such an emotional beautiful book and I love every page of it, just like the first one. And don’t get me started on the spice on this book, OH.MY.GOD. She delivered every single scene with spice, the mouth on this man is to melt for 🥵🫠, ladies get ready to fall for Jace FOREVER!

I could not recommend this series enough, it is raw, emotional, realistic and so beautiful. Do not miss on it, Monique is amazing delivering her books and you will no regret diving into Kat’s story.

I absolutely fell head over heels in love with Meant to be Damned and when it ended on a cliffy, I knew that I needed book 2 ASAP because I mean come on...I needed all the answers!

Meant to be Tied is seriously one of the most beautiful books I have EVER read! 🖤

Jace and Kat's story is full of so many raw emotions that will have you gripping the edge of your seat. Both of them have such a profound history filled with trauma and heartbreak, but when they pull together, they're a force that can't be reckoned with! Everything that they go through is real and emotional and pulls on your heart strings so dang much.

The spice is SPICIN' in this book. Jace, woah, he sure knows his way around a woman's body, 😉 🥵

Every woman deserves a man like Jace in their lives, he is seriously everything and more. I could legitimately read about Jace and Kat and of course Paisley for freaking ever and never get sick of them. They're all so perfect and beautiful!

Monique, I am so incredibly proud of you for both of these books. Your writing is exquisite, the books have been so addicting, you're an amazing person and I just love everything about you and your books. I'm here for the long haul and you are never getting rid of me boo! Love you!!

A captivating sequel!

This is the story of the aftermath... or is it? This Story centers around our FMC from book one, Kat, who gets a new nickname from a much better man! Jace is a hard-working single father who falls so hard for our heroine that the man may as well be married at first sight. AND I LOVE HIM!

High lights:
-This book does a great job of reviewing what happened in book one without beating you over the head with it. Which is to say READ book one... BUT if you didn't, you won't be lost, you'll just be missing details
-This is the second book in the series to make me cry... and it's book two.
-THE SPICE IS SPICY!
-Just when you think you know everything and maybe you won't be traumatized by this book, you're wrong.
-As with book one, the friendships in this book are truly golden! The support Kat receives from those around her honestly can not be matched and the found family that she exists in grows and evolves with love.
- I also don't exactly know how I am supposed to feel about the door that is creaked open in the very last words of the book... but I am both intrigued and terrified.

Ms. Shepard, I'll just be over here... impatiently awaiting book three... right where you left me.

5 ⭐ for the second book in the Meant to be duet.

Please, don't continue reading if you haven't read the first book "Meant to be damned" because the books are meant to be read in order, not as standalone.

We continue the story of Kathryn in her new life in LiveOak, a small town near the distillery she visited with her friends before leaving Dallas. Several months living there and in just a couple of days she sees Jace, her only one night stand some months ago, and finds out he is a single dad and his family owns the bunkhouse where she lives.

Their relationship is a little slow burn, if we don't count their hot night together before knowing their names, and is great to read how they let each other enter in their lives and destroy their walls little by little.

I don't want to spoiler anything important but I must say that Hunter's shadow is long and Kat, or Ryn as Jace likes to call her, really needs closure about what happened with Hunter.

And I'm excited to know there would be a third book called Meant to be graced and I think it will be the final closure we all need.

- Thank you Monique for giving me an arc in exchange of an honest review -

This book was so good! It kept my attention and was a super quick read. It started off with a bang (quite literally 😂) and turned into the most beautiful love and redemption story.

Kat was so broken after Hunter seemingly ruined her. She lost all faith and hope for love and was determined to close herself off forever. That was until are met an unnamed cowboy and had a one night stand with him.

The unnamed cowboy keeps coming na k into her life. She is so scared and cautious with her heart. Jace (unnamed cowboy) has experienced tragedy in his life as well. He is the single dad to his daughter, Paisley. Since his wife passed away four years ago, he has given up on ever finding a love like that again.

However, Jace feels this immense pull toward Ryn (his adorable nickname for Kat). He struggles with the guilt of allowing himself to love again.

This story is so beautiful and I’d recommend it to any of my book friends who enjoy contemporary romance with cowboys! I am so excited to learn there will be more books in this series! Tara and Nessa need their own books along with Jace’s cowboy brothers!

Meant to be Tied Review
Monique Shepherd

Rating 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice 3🌶🌶🌶

This is book 2 in the Meant to Be Series. I highly recommend reading the books in order. As the first book gives the back story to the main characters.

This book I read in one sitting. It was such a lovely, exciting and powerful book.

FMC Kat needs a fresh start so she decides to move to a small town a few hours away. It's a new town, new job and new home and it really helps Kat. One day she happens to bump into her mystery one night stand from book 1. MMC Jace is the mystery man and also happens to be dealing with his own past. Sparks fly whenever they are together but can they get past both their pasts to find the HEA?

This is a single dad, slow burn romance. A story of love, family and learning to trust someone with your heart again. I can't wait for the next book.

I also really want stories for the side characters Kat's two Best friend’s and Jace's two brother's because everyone needs to know what happens with them boys……

Meant to be Tied is surely a romantic rollercoaster. From the beginning till the very end; this book will keep you hooked (or should I say it will capture your mind and body alike). And when I say a rollercoaster I mean it!!!

The storyline is well paced, I didn't feel bored at any point! Being set in a countryside town in Texas, the story explores how both the female and male leads overcome their respective past traumas and allow themselves to explore love once again. Its a heartfelt journey of love, trust, acceptance and how you can be fearless (not gonna spoil it for ya') in the midst of challenges life throws at you.

Monique's style of writing is too good, you will actually resonate with each of the characters particularly during the heart throbbing spicy scenes. There were moments I cried and felt happy for the characters, since I could literally feel all of the events happening round me.

Andddd if you're a Swiftie like me, then you're absolutely gonna love this book!

This book was amazing! I really enjoyed this story from the very beginning because we knew that there was chemistry between Kat and her mystery cowboy. It was funny to see how they hadn’t run into each other in a couple of months until one day at the coffee shop. This propels them into a sweet and spicy filled adventure that warmed my heart.

I loved their interaction, banter and overall attention to each other. They both have been left with some hurt and trauma from past relationships and dwell a lot on whether to allow themselves the opportunity to give themselves to one another emotionally. I love that they have people in their corners rooting for them and assuring them that they are allowed to move on/forward. I enjoyed everything about this books from the small town setting to the characters and everything in between. Love how well Kat gets along with Jace’s daughter,Paisley, and how well she seems to fit into Jace’s family.
I will definitely be rereading this amazing story.

OH MY GOOODDD! The emotional roller coaster Monique has taken me on again! I should have known after Meant to be Damned, but my goodness! This book, I started reading before bed and literally kept reading until at least 3:30am. I just could not put it down! I laughed, I cried, I swooned, my heart raced! Monique is a master with character building. I feel like I know exactly who each and every one of the characters are, main characters or not. Growing up in small town USA, she definitely nailed the family feel you get living in a close knit community where everyone knows everyone. If you’re looking for a book that is going to make you feel ALL the feels, this is it, darlin!

Also. That damn cowboy, or really, those damn Dixon’s! 🤤

I absolutely cannot wait for book 3 in the Meant to be universe!

I was really excited to be able to read this book because I was obsessed with Jace at the end of book 1. I love Kathryn and I loved what little I knew about Jace so I was excited to see his storyline open up and for their love story to unfold. I loved the amount of spice and it was perfect for their personalities and blooming relationship. I love how their love story was wrapped up but there was an opening left so that she could write on someone else's storyline. I loved the little blurb about Hunter and it leave you wondering, "But can he really change?" We shall see.

The reason why I gave this 4 stars is due to a few plot holes where I kept going back in the story to make sure that I was not mistaken. They were just inconsistencies that did not line up with other things that were previously mentioned.

Let me just say, as someone who could never survive on a farm, I really need me a cowboy 🥵.

I enjoyed this read so much. I loved both Kat and Jace. I think they paired incredibly well together but were also amazing in their own individual relationships with friends and family. 🥰

There are some triggers warnings in this story. As someone who has experience let's say relationship trauma, I very much felt parts of this story while reading. I felt the paranoia and anxiety. I felt the fear and dread and that sense that you will never really be free of the trauma you carry. 😬 It wasn't overwhelming to read it, but it definitely made it more of an experience to read and I actually rather enjoyed the journey. While the journey goes in a direction different than I would have imagined in parts, I'm excited to see what is going to happen next. 👀

Kathryn “ryn” -love this nickname btw, Is back ( in a new city) and her walls are up, way up. More like walls with barbed wire but she had to protect her heart somehow.

Jace, however had other plans for her, and the patience to make it happen. All while breaking down his own barriers. (The communication 🔥🔥)

Hot single cowboy dad and a hot single nurse?!
Such an elite combo!
The city girl turned country girl quick and even took her friends along for the ride!

This book really was a great read! I was laughing, anxious, happy, sad then really mad and then realllly happy! All the feels all the emotions. I can’t wait for what’s next. This whole crew is so fun to read about.

Her friends and his brothers were the best supportive characters and I need to read more about them 🙌🏻

I LOVE how the Author had me feeling so many emotions. I thought Meant To Be Damned was good.. but this 2nd book is even better! I love how Kat is able to navigate through her past with her best friends by her side.
Cowboy Jace is everything Kat needs in a man and more, Paisley is an adorable bonus along with Jace’s wonderful family that accepts Kat the way anyone would want to be loved and accepted. Jace has been through it as well but after reading the letter Jordan wrote before she passed.. absolutely beautiful and brought me to tears.
I love that Hunter has a chapter as well so we get to see what becomes of him.
If you love romance, feeling a roller coaster of emotions and finding a good book you can’t put down, then the Meant to Be series is one for you.

This is the 2nd book in the series”meant to be” series and it flows perfectly with the first one. I started it before bed and finished it the next morning. It hooks you right in. I had completely even forgot what time it was and I was zoned right in. The spicy 🔥🔥🔥, the love ❤️❤️❤️, the country 🐴🐴🐴. The perfect stepping stone book for a country love story.

Jace and Ryn I cannot wait to see what else Monique has in store for you! <3
