I highly recommend this book (and others by this author) to anyone who is a true crime fan. This volume focuses on murders committed by someone wanting to break up a marriage. Often, this is the spouse, but sometimes it is someone wanting to get rid of a lover's spouse.

The stories are well-written, with just enough background to make them an easy read. I find that this author provides enough detail to introduce the reader to true crimes without a lot of extraneous material. If you find the case interesting, then you can find more detailed accounts elsewhere.

The narrator does a great job and his no nonsense performance is perfect for this type of audiobook. Each chapter is a perfect length to be read/listened to in about 15-20 minutes, so this is a great way to get a quick true crime fix when you don't have a lot of time to devote to a more lengthy read.

Familiar but interesting

Although I knew of almost n every case but about two I still found this book to be interesting and well written. I was a little puzzled by the inclusion of the last case as there was no mention of any extramarital affairs but overall I enjoyed the book. I will be reading more by these prolific authors.

Great information

Some of the cases in the book were known to me but I didn't know many details that she mentioned in the book.
Other cases were new to me and it was very interesting to read about them.
She is always on point giving all the details of the cases without sensacionalizing any of the crimes mentioned.

There seems to be end of spouse murders and lovers who want to dispose of their rivals. Some of these cases may be familiar, but all are interesting.

Who are homewreckers and what leads to their demise? A homewrecker could be a man or a woman. They covet, they pursue, they stalk. They want someone who already belongs to another. Or they belong to another but wanted someone else. It often begins with a secret affair, sometimes even resulting in children.

They were already part of the family as best friends of the wife or husband, even as a nanny. Sometime they were coworkers. Regardless of how they met the homewreckers' actions or instigation lead to a murder of either a wife or a husband or significant other. The culprits were apprehended. This takes the phrase, "til death do us part" to a horrific conclusion. I recommend this book to true crime fans.

This is such a good book, and like Jamie's other books, had me hooked and blitzing through them. This book focuses on people who kill because of an affair. It looks at relationships where there is more than just the couple involved. Very good read. I love how Jamie keeps your attention without going into too much detail and making it boring.
