This book inspired various emotions. The arrival of Piper at the veterinary clinic sparked happiness and fun. She was like a breath of fresh air. Her enthusiasm and great ideas seemed to bring the place alive. However, Ethan, her boss started out accepting and even seemed to be fond of Piper at first, but over time he became withdrawn and angry. This just didn't make sense to me. And when he totally shut off Piper, I thought he was terrible.

So I guess I shouldn't tell too much about this story, not wanting to spoil it for anyone who will be reading it. Just suffice it to say that what happened next initially didn't surprise me and most of the middle of the story seemed to confirm my feelings. Then we get to the last several chapters and it seems like nothing that had happened before made any difference. In other words this was a romance like nothing I could imagine happening in real life. I guess that's why this book is fiction.

Not Too Late

This book is a wonderful little story which takes place in a veterinary office. The resident vet is kind of a curmudgeon or grump. It is hard to tell in the story how old he might be. Then there is Piper who works at the office and has a love of animals and has a real talent in comforting the anxious pets. She also starts working a little magic on Ethan (the vet). A lot of changes and improvements are made to the office by Piper, and she starts to crack Ethan's hard shell too. But all of a sudden Ethan backs off and reverts to his old ways. it is a nice little story that I enjoyed reading.

This was a good story overall, but there were several issues with the story. The writing was stiff and didn't draw the reader in easily. There were parts that were underdeveloped, and the name of the town changed, leaving a bit of confusion about what was happening where. Piper's last name differed in the book summary and the story itself. I personally didn't like the way one of the characters took the blame while the other barely acknowledged their own role, and the whole long drawn out mess was resolved too quickly and easily in my opinion.

This is the perfect book for even grumpy uptight can find their happy ever after!

Ethan older set in his ways (sound familiar) is a Vet in his own practice. Piper an out going trainer with new ideas has challenged him and his clients/practice. Ethan needs to find balance reputation sound vet and innovator. A few hiccups but embrace change does happen. A clean romance.

High quality story

This high quality story is well developed and funny, cute and lovely. The Grump versus Sunshine made me laugh, because I have seen this in real life and it's hilarious.

I’m so looking forward to new things in my life. I starting this new job at a vet clinic and because I love animals and giving them comfort and encouragement in training is the best. Come join me in my new endeavour.

Grumpy x Sunshine

This book had my emotions all over the place. Liked it, hated it, loved it, swooned over it, upset at the turn of events and then back to liking it.
