There will be some readers that like this book, and some that don't. Perhaps a bit marmite-like?
Personally, I did enjoy it. Yes, there is quite a bit of gore, although I thought less than the first one in the series. And if you like dinosaurs, or ever wondered what would happen if they came back (as this author obviously has!), then you will really enjoy it.
I found it interesting how the different groups of people were coping in this strange apocalypse, and do wonder how it will turn out - and whether there will be any left? A bit Walking Dead in that regard, yet a fun read nevertheless.
