If you know who you are then no demon can run when you bring down a blade that knows no hesitation or confusion.
Our heroes were already struggling to deal with six demons and now we got a seventh one to fight against. This one seems to be the most dangerous one. Can the heroes stop all of their opponents and kill them before they will the ones to die?
Helping other people also ends up being beneficial for you. And people are living creatures who can draw out unbelievable strength for someone else's sake, Muichiro.
I'm not a fan of Muichiro, but I liked how the tables have turned for him. He was a guy who considered everything as either low priority or high priority and acted accordingly to it (but most of the time he was spacing out, struggling to remember what he was thinking about in the first place). The events happening in the Swordsmiths Village were truly eye-opening for him. I was happy to see him acting like a hero he always should be, thinking of the wellbeing of the innocents and acting accordingly to that. People say that if you act with kindness, that kindness will come back to you and Muichiro was blessed with that. I liked how he and Kotetsu saved one another, it was a great change from the very beginning of the Swordsmiths Village act.
We also got a Muichiro flashback which I already knew as the anime watcher, but I never realized the parallels between Muichiro and Shinobu. Both of them had siblings that are now gone and both of them took some of their siblings personality traits. The younger Shinobu was more serious and angry while the older Shinobu was more kind and nice, like her sister. The younger Muichiro was a compassionate one, wanting to help other people while his brother, Yuichiro, was more reluctant and passive one, trying to stay away from any kind of trouble until he had no other choice. The older Muichiro lived through that mentality until he realized how different it is from his child self.
When we're on the Tokito brothers topic, anyone knows this trend on social media:
"I want to save everyone!"
"I want to save you!" ??
It's perfect for these twins. Muichiro was the one who wanted to save other people, while all Yuichiro ever cared for was the wellbeing of his twin. Muichiro was all he had been left after what had happened to their parents and he sacrificed everything to save him :(
'Boy. I'm worried about you. Will anyone ever understand? Understand you. How much you've gone through.' [Tetsuido]
'Tetsuido, I'm sorry. I made you worry. But now I am fine.'[Muichiro]
I don't think I ever mentioned that, but since we have great examples of it here, I will do it now. I love the bond that the author had created between the demon slayer and his swordsmith. It can be seen through the small scene of Muichiro mentioning Tetsuido, his swordsman while Tanjiro's swordsman, Haganezuka, was sacrificing all of his blood, sweat and tears to make a perfect sword for Tanjiro. It was all so heartwarming.
P.S. I never realized how hot Haganezuka is?! Damn! 😳
"I will never let any of my friends die! The demon hunters are my precious home." [Mitsuri]
Let's not forget about the other Hashira, Kanroji Mitsuri, that also fights on our side! I never expressed how awesome she is, so let me do this now! She's the definition of a badass woman. She's nice, kind-hearted and adorable by nature, but would punch you without hesitation if you hurt any of her friends. She's incredibly strong, fast and flexible, looking like a ballerina while giving her all in the battle. It's such a pleasure to see her fight! And I love the bond she already has with the other heroes. The moment Genya and the Kamado siblings rushed to protect her was so heartwarming!
"Only a bear or a boar or a steer would marry you. Your hair's a funny color. The idea of passing that on to children gives one shivers."
First of all, rude!! I can't believe that there was a guy who rejected such a woman like Kanroji Mitsuri! Did he left his brain and his eyes at home when he left to see her?! It's your loss, asshole! 😡
Second of all, I don't know how I should feel about Mitsuri being the only one without any loss in her life that made her choose the path of a demon slayer. Her reason was to find a man to marry, and that's okay, but did she really need to become a demon slayer to find a partner?? Her not experiencing any loss doesn't strip her character from the depth, no. She's fighting to protect the people she has grown to care for and that's fine. I just think that, because of the lack of loss in her life there is a big wall between her and the other Hashiras. Everyone else experienced a tragedy that had an impact on their characters, while all Mitsuri went through was a rejection of a stupid guy who saw a nobody in her when he should see a goddess.
But hey, whatever her reason to fight is, I'm glad that she's on our side. She's a true powerhouse that should never be underestimated!
"You! Get back here! Don't run from your responsibility! From the sins you've committed! From all your evil deeds! I'm gonna make you take responsibility for them all!" [Tanjiro]
While Muichiro was occupied with his opponent (Upper Rank 5) and Mitsuri was fighting the manifestation of a dragon, Genya and the Kamado siblings were on a desperate pursue after the real Upper Rank four, a little demon coward who's giving its all trying to escape as far away as possible. Both Tanjiro and Genya tried to cut his head down, but didn't succeed, will they be more lucky next time? We will see in the next volume! ☺️
