He tastes of anger and longing, and every ounce of pent-up frustration I feel toward him I sense it back from him.

I've been devouring this series one book at a time and the addiction stays strong. There's just something about the premise to this series that just does it for me. The sisterly bond, the female sports agents, each one dealing with their own internal struggles on their road to their HEA.

Now don't let my rating detract from anything here, because this was all personal tastes at play. But I'll get to that in a second.

Brexton and Drew practically grew up together. And while Brex had the biggest crush on Drew when they were teens, she never thought he saw her as anything more than a friend. The friend zone was hard. Years later, she's sent on a mission to steal a starring QB from a sports agent they all love to hate, and stumbles upon the immensely talented backup QB that also happens to be her childhood crush.

Drew lives and breathes football. It's his biggest love and all he's ever wanted to do. but most of his adult life has been spent living in the shadow of his father's major scandal. There's some bad blood between Drew and Brex's families, that adds a new layer of complexity to their renewed chemistry.

But enough about the summary, let's talk about the book. If you're a fan of sweet but emotional friends to lovers romance, you'll love this. I'm a reader that prefers a little less sweet and a lot more turmoil and angst, so admittedly I did find myself a little bored in parts. There's still turmoil, but it's mostly internal with Drew working through his family secrets and scandal. There's plenty of complex layers, emotion, and steam to keep you turning the pages. We also finally see a human side to Finn that I've been waiting to see for three books now and was so happy to get here. I can't wait for the next installment!

"The past is the past."

Hard to Score is the third book in the Play Hard Series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone, and yet, I highly recommend reading the series from the beginning in order to truly enjoy the dynamics between the characters and their lives. Brexton Kincade is a sports agent who gives her all to her job. Loyal to her family and passionate about all things sports-related, Brex seems to have it all. Everything except for love. After watching her sisters find their soulmates, Brex knows that she is missing out. After a chance encounter with an old flame, a flood of memories comes rushing back. Drew Bowman is a second-string QB and has the world on his shoulders. After surviving a tsunami of family drama, the last thing Drew needs is reconciliation with a woman from his past, and yet when the two come together a spark re-ignites and they are brought back together and both discover that love is worth fighting for.

"It's fire and ice. Fans are flamed. Tinder slowly ignites. Every part of me aches for his touch. For him."
Told in dual POV, Hard to Score is a sweet second chance romance with a double dose of family drama. I enjoyed the relationship between Drew and Brex and although I am not normally a big fan of the second chance trope, I found their story to be very engaging the entire read. As always, the passion is off the charts and K. Bromberg never fails to amaze me with her complex storytelling and witty dialogue. I have fallen head over heels in love with the Kinkade family and the father is probably my favorite character of them all.
"I can't get enough of you."
Overall, Hard to Score will appeal to readers who enjoy a sweet second chance romance between a smoking hot football player and a sassy sports agent. The Play Hard Series has been an absolutely stunning series and I look forward to the next book in the series!

I have confession. I am not a big fan of Miss Bromberg's books. I have been avoidinv picking up her books. When Hard to Score flashing on my screen, I told myself to give it a try.

And I do not disappointed. Hard to Score is a childhood friend turns to lover with so many lies and betrayal in between. There are some twist on the plot that keep me interested. Drew has been carrying a burden of his family on his shoulder alone. His vulnerable gutted me. I can feel his pain and his loneliness.

Miss Bromberg does not disappoint me with her writing bringing every raw emotion between Drew and Brexton alive. I rooting for them both. Glad for their HEA.

Brexton Kincade is an outspoken, driven agent in Manhattan for her family's business, Kincade Sports Management where four sisters compete for the top athletes in a male dominated industry. Brexton loves her job and is in the zone preparing to win over her next client when she has a chance encounter with the boy who gave her her first real kiss. As a teen Drew Bowman was the one guy she wished would notice her. She had a massive crush on him for as long as she could remember. Their families used to vacation together and were once inseparable. It's been almost ten years without their paths crossing, but there was always something about him that made it hard to look away. Her teenage fantasy is now all grown up and absolutely devastating. They'd had a friendship and connection when they were kids. Could they reconnect after all these years?

Drew Bowman is a professional football player in New York who is still chasing his dreams and trying to outrun his baggage. Long ago his world was rocked by scandal and secrets and has never been the same. Most days he felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders, and no matter what he does the past seems to overshadow the present. Then everything changes when he runs into a girl from his past. Brexton Kincade went from a great memory to the woman he couldn't get out of his head. Their families no longer spoke, and he knew he should keep his distance, but one touch and he just craved more. When things turn complicated will he walk away or end up falling for the enemy?

You know those series that start and you already know they will work when you have finished the first book? This is exactly what happened with K. Bromberg’s Play Hard series. I loved the first book, I adooooored the second one and I have to say I really enjoyed the third one too. As soon as I saw that Brexton’s story would be a second chance romance I was all over the idea since it’s one of my top favorite troupes. And, as you can imagine, with K. Bromberg being one of my favorite authors, that just had to work. And boy, it did!

So, Hard to Score is the third installment in the Play Hard series and it tells the love story of Brexton Kincade and Drew Bowman. Brex and Drew were childhood friends who also had a beautiful chemistry waiting to unleash. However, mysterious circumstances involving both their fathers brought them apart and many years have passed before they reunite. Brex is now a very talented sports agent and Drew is the second string QB for The Raptors. It was inevitable their paths colliding and their chemistry even stronger than before. But there are obstacles in the way, secrets keeping them apart and these facts are not letting them being able to fully enjoy their new found relationship. Will love win or will the past take over?

How is this even happening? How after all these years later, are we standing here like this, both wanting the same thing?
It’s crazy.
It’s surreal.
It’s perfect.

If you don't already know, I am a lover of all things "second chance" and even though Hard to Score is not exactly that (because Brex and Drew did not have an actual relationship in the past), this book has all the elements I enjoy from this romance troupe. That connection coming back, the spark of sexual tension, the angst, the burning chemistry and the emotions running high. Hard to Score sure did not miss any of those. And I am not surprised because we are talking about Kristy Bromberg here. She is incredibly talented, and having read all her novels, I can assure you this one is another wonderful addition to her creations. Drew and Brex's chemistry was beautiful and scorching hot. I loved reading how they find their way back to each other and finally getting over what happened in their pasts. I loved this emotional journey and I am so happy these two got their much deserved second chance and happy ending!

It’s just her.
Just the girl I fell in love with all those years ago who’s waiting for me on the sidelines as if she knew just where to be.

Therefore, I am rating Hard to Score with 4.5 STARS because Drew and Brexton's story was an absolute delight to read from start to finish. It had all the aspects I love to read about a couple reconnecting, still having a beautiful friendship and even more, a heart-warming and burning chemistry. This couple sure deserves all the good happening to them and having such a sweet reunion. I loved it so much (even though Hard to Hold is still my favorite) and I cannot wait to read the final installment in the series. Highly recommend this one!

Third book in this series and we have Brexton Kincade's turn at love.
Brex's story is a second chance romance/romeo&juliet trope. She and Drew Bowman know eachother since kids, their families were very close until a scandal hit the Bowman's and they lost touch with eachother. 10 years later Brex sees Drew again when she is hunting for a QB in NY. They connect again and start to spend more time together , but the past keeps getting in Drew's way to finding happiness.

I really loved this two characters. They call eachother childhood nicknames - Bratty Brex & Dreadful Drew- lots of sexual tension, good banter and swoon moments.
Drew is a good men with a lot on his shoulders but keeps living in a limbo until the truth comes out. Brex is a kick ass woman, smart, sassy and kind. I think she couldn't be more perfect for Drew, they really complement one another.

I felt that at time the story dragged a bit and nothing major happens but overall I didn't get bored or skimmed.

They get 2 epilogues and a HEA.

Kincade Sports Managment.
That's widowed dad-boss Kenyon Kincade and his four daughters.
Third daughter to fight for her happily ever after in love and job is Brexton.
She's trying to sign the young QB of the New York football team when she suddenly sees him. Drew. Her childhood/teenage crush. She hasn't seen him in years. Something happened with their dads back then ...
But why is he not the starting quarterback for the team? He's so much better than the guy she's supposed to sign? What's going on? And can Brexton and Drew start again where they never really started as kids because their family stopped being friends?

LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN...

I really enjoyed reading this.
Cute. Footbally. Sports-agent-ish.
A bit mysterious - because we don't find out for a while what happened back then.
And it's also a bit hopeless, because the families probably won't be happy about them being in love.
But it was adorable to watch them fall for each other and trying to balance everything - family, sports, business, feelings, secrets, the past ...
We're rooting for them so badly!

This was a really sweet and sexy and emotional sports romance!

Can't wait to read the final book!

And I also wouldn't mind seeing a girl-power Jerry McGuire kind of sports-rom-com series on Netflix one day! ☺

This series is one of the best! Especially is you're a sucker for sports romance like I am!
I love the bond the Kincade family has. The sisters are strong and fierce. More so because of the male dominated jobs they are in. They don't hold back and aren't afraid to speak their mind.

This is Brexton's story. She's always had a crush on Drew. They grew up together and she had the pleasure of watching him transform into a man right before her eyes. One silly game of spin the bottle changed the outcome of what could have been a sweet romance if ever given the chance. He broke her heart before he even knew he owned it.

Drew is a broken hero and has everything resting on his shoulders. His father's possible past sins, his sister and mother, his football career. He can barely breathe and is becoming overwhelmed with it all. He blames his father for how his career in football has gone.

Two families torn apart by sins of the father. Two best friends at odds. They don't know why they are to hate each other... they just do.

Their paths cross after sometime and they can't hold back their feelings. This story is what true love is made of. How love can conquer and overcome. They both were all in and it showed. All the feels!!

"I want to be his safe place. The place he can turn to when he needs solace from it all. The arms that will hold him when uncertainty owns him. The heart that will love him above all else."

Hard to Score is a beautiful written childhood friends to lovers story.
It is part of the "Play Hard" sports romance series but can be read as a standalone.
The book follows Brexton, one of the Kincade sisters and Drew, a talented quarterback. Close friends during their childhood and teen years, they lose touch due to a scandal between their families and reconnect 9 years later only to find that they have crazy chemistry.
As with the other books in this series, I liked both characters a lot. They are both strong, determined, beautiful people inside and out. Drew is going through a lot for most of this book. He is conflicted and hurt by the scandal that took place when he was 18 years old. And Brex is there for him, supporting him as best she can, although she is also plagued by insecurities of her own.
I also appreciated how, as in previous books, K. Bromberg takes this opportunity to show how hard it is for a woman to be successful in the sports management industry, a field mostly dominated by men.
I would recommend picking this book up if you enjoy sports romances with mid-twenties or early-thirties characters, angsty and steamy (but not over the top).

It was a very light and drama free romance. Perhaps not something remarkable, but very decent and with likeable characters. It’s been a while since I touched a book with a truly good guy so it was a nice change for me…

Wowza, I am so enjoying K. Bromberg’s fantastic Play Hard series! And, just when I thought I’d had my favorite one, here comes Hard to Score! I don’t know who I loved moreBrexton or Drew, and I truly adored their friends-to-enemies-to-second-chance-romance romance. Yes, that’s a trope. Well, in this case it is!

On the one hand, there’s Brexton. Hard-hitting, smart, sexy, compassionate and devoted to her job, her players and her family. She’s driven to succeed, but she’s also wanting to find her own happily ever after, like two of her sisters. Brexton is amazing and the perfect woman for Drew. A man she’s had a crush on since she was a teenager when their fathers were the best of friends, until they weren’t.

But Drew needs to get out of his own way and out of his own head. He’s been harboring some serious resentment toward Brexton’s father for years—since the demise of his own father’s career. And he needs to get over the past so it doesn’t affect his future. One that he really wants to have with Brexton.

I loved every minute I spent with Drew and Brexton. They were amazing together—especially once they finally let go of what happened between their families so many years ago. I loved the family dynamics. Brexton and her sisters and their bond. And especially the relationship she had with her dad. And next up is Chase's story. And I cannot wait to see how that unfolds! ~ Missy, 5 stars

line

Star Rating : 4/5 Stars

POV : Dual

Cliffhanger : None

Plot Summary :
Drew is back to make a career in sports. That is until he stumbles upon the one girl who used to be his friend until their families started war. Brexton. He remembered her and how nice friends they were. But after everything changed , he was conditioned to hate her and nothing has changed. Only this time she is not the awkward kid who was his friend , instead she is thing knockout who turns his world around and makes him want so much more.

Riley had always had a crush on drew. And now he is back. This time things are different. What starts as an innocent friendship rekindling turns into something so much more. That is until their history comes back to haunt them. Now everything is messed up!

Overall Opinion :
Admirably , this book started off real good. But then it sort of changed. There was no angst. I mean there wasn't a lot of angst. After reading the blurb I expected an enemies to lovers type of romance , but what I got was more of a friends to lovers one. It was a good contemporary romance and I think that all contemporary romance lovers will definitely love it but it just wasn't for me.

I completed the book because the author kept me hooked with the suspense of the history of the main characters and it was a good one time read for me!! A Definite recommendation to all the contemporary romance lovers out there!

New stat after reading this story: K.Bromberg is now my one-click sports romance. To say she managed to make readers go bonkers after this touchdown sports romance is a simple understatement. Riveting from beginning to end, this author delivers all the feels with this second chance romance that hooked me from the very beginning.
Some truths are just lies wrapped in a transparent cloak ... you just need to look a little closer... A story about the first love, the first trembling of the heart, the first unplanned kiss .... and all the memories strike with all their might when Brexton Kincade and Drew Bowman stand against each other after so many years... The desire is stronger than ever, the hearts want, the bodies are more than willing but the reasons against it are too strong... Will they manage to ignore that strong spark that threatens to envelop them in its flame of passion and love? Will the hidden truth strengthen or destroy their love?
Mixing parts of the past and the present, the author leads us through the story of Brexton Kincade and Drew Bowman, not sparing us from the emotions that literally drip from every page, from every scene, from every expressed and unspoken thought. The plot as well as the whole course of the story are very intriguing, with enough drama and vicissitudes to keep the reader's attention until the very end. Brexton Kincade and Drew Bowman are characters who simply captivate with their uniqueness and freshness. The sexy-as-sin QB Drew Bowman is a character who causes a variety of emotions in the readers. Condemned by a mistake that wasn't his, he hides in the shadows, scared of the past, lonely, and stuck in a dizzying routine. But he is also the man who manages to shake the ground under the feet of the fearless Brexton Kincade. A woman who manages to shine in that male world without any difficulty and deals with all the setbacks that the profession brings with it. The added aspect of a childhood crush and families who are torn apart by lies further intensifies the emotional aspect of the book, which is simply present from beginning to end. And what about the chemistry between them? .... Whenever these two are close to each other, there are explosions and fireworks on all sides...
If you are looking for a story that will warm your heart and bring a smile to your face, that will manage to awaken the romantic in you and will make you dream, then this is definitely the right choice for you ... With snarky and flirty banter, enough angst and drama, this book promises to take you on a rollercoaster of emotions that will leave you panting for more.

Awwww *heart eyes*... Hard To Score is so powerfully and heartwarmingly ROMANTIC! Another Bromberg’s addictive brand of romance, that leaves you on sporty romance cloud nine. From a sweet teenage infatuation, to a soul completing passion, and delicious banter, Beckett and Drew, not only showed us their personal growth and relationship blossoming, but the exquisite intricacies of so many other types of love, and familial love truly is the core of this series, and what makes the Kincades shine bright, along with that epic love. I’m here for every second of it! <3 <3 <3 <3

Third's the charming best of the Kincaide sports series so far for me (and the first two books were great). I loved this match-up and the backstory that came along with Brexton and Drew. Both were such lovable characters with personalities that stole my breath and heart. Bromberg just has this extraordinary talent for giving readers the best of romance with enough angst to keep it believable -- her writing is emotional and realistic, the personal relationships here just jumped off the pages and I couldn't slow down -- didn't want to stop until I reached the ending -- which, by the way, was amazing.

Looking forward to the next installment in this addictive series!

Brexton and Drew's family used to be very close, spending family vacations together every year. Then one day something happened between their fathers and the friendship they once had was erased. Brexton hasn't seen Drew in years, not until the day her father sends her to recruit a new client for their firm who just happens to play for the same team as Drew. When they see each other, the attraction between them is still there even after all these years. Can Drew and Brexton get past the issue that separated their families and have a chance for a future, or are the ghosts of the past too strong to give them a chance.

This was an emotional story about two families torn apart by a lie that irrevocably affected their relationship with each other, a boy and girl who were close until that fateful day, and the struggle for the truth, no matter the consequences. It's about closure and being able to possibly move forward with a relationship that ended too soon. It's a story of forgiveness and most of all love.

I truly enjoyed this story and cannot wait for the next book in this series. Hard to Score is the third book in this series and can be read as a standalone.

This series by K. Bromberg has quickly risen to the top of my very favorite reads list. I am taken in by every word, every new relationship and every twist, turn and road block these beautiful people run up on. Each one quickly takes the new favorite spot as I learn details of each new character...this one really spoke to me and captured my heart quickly and fiercely. I wanted to wrap Drew and Brexton up and soothe their broken hearts with hugs and staring at the stars. I was in deep with their past and their future, cheering them on from the sidelines and experiencing each bit of pain and joy they felt. I truly loved this book. K. Bromberg has been an auto read author for me since I read Driven in 2013 and fell hard for Colton...but this series is IT for me. I love every single thing about it. The strength of character that each Kincade sister brings to the story, the heart and loyalty that each male sports figure brings to the table cementing yet another piece of my heart. Simply said, I LOVE THIS SERIES. Read them. Enjoy them. But Drew is MINE. xo

Hard to Score is the third book in the Play Hard series and I’m really enjoying getting to know the four Kincade sisters.

Anyone who had an unrequited crush as a teenager should appreciate this second chance sports romance. Brexton Kincade pined over Drew Bowman, the dreamy football player and close family friend, when they were growing up. We get to view their friendship from both their perspectives and it’s sweet, yearning, and naive in the way only adolescence can be.

Fast forward about a decade and Brexton is no longer the awkward and insecure girl Drew once overlooked, but a gorgeous, intelligent, and strong sports agent succeeding in a male-dominated industry. When she crosses paths with Drew, who is now a second string NFL quarterback, it’s her second chance to finally get her dream guy.

The main obstacle between them is a bitter family feud of unknown origin. The mysterious cause is frequently alluded to and the buildup is great, but when the truth is finally uncovered it falls flat for me. It’s difficult to believe the dramatic ripple effect of this one particular incident.

That being said, the bulk of the story is wonderful. Brexton and Drew make a great couple. He is gifted and honorable, and she pushes him to embrace his talent and dream bigger. I loved their flirty exchanges. This book is a winning addition to the series.

I loved this book, the author managed to bring a romantic, emotional and captivating story from beginning to end.

Brexton and Drew's have a past in which their families were friends and they also formed a friendship until something happened to their parents that made each of them go on with their lives and that bond between them was broken. Now years later Brexton has a mission to recruit a player from Drew's team making the world of the two collide again, and there begins the story of two people who when young had their bond broken by lies and whose attraction is now there, leaving the readers wanting to know if this rapprochement between them will lead to something or the past will once again break this relationship.

Drew is my favorite male character in this series. He is someone who is living the leftovers and paying for his father's sins. I loved how Brexton's presence in his life made him wake up and go back to living what made him happy. Brexton is a great character too, and like her sisters she is determined, strong and the most romantic of all, she has always had a platonic crush on her old childhood friend and now sees her feelings matched. It was a delight to follow the development of the relationship of these two characters with their ups and downs.

The author's writing is a delight and I ended up devouring the book in a few hours, so much that I fell in love with this story.

Thank you valentine pr for the arc! I absolutely loved this second chance story. Drew and Brex are everything. They have their ups and downs but at the end of the day, their love is strong and they’ll figure things out.

Full review to come

With each new release, this series is moving firmly into my favorite series list. And this may be my new favorite of the series. Dreadful Drew and Bratty Brex have a beautiful second chance story that I couldn’t put down.

As a teen, Brex had a huge crush on Drew and would do anything to be seen in a romantic way. After a fateful spin the bottle game, they are torn apart by life-altering events affecting both families deeply.

Fast forward and a chance encounter brings their emotions back to the surface after so many years apart. Both feel so strongly for one another but are hesitant to bring up past hurts or cause more pain by their relationship.

I loved their close relationship and how easy it was to see they loved each other. I also loved that even while fighting, they may say things they’ll later regret, but they were willing to fight for each other and not let it destroy them.

I loved so much about this book I can’t even list it all. But I always love the relationship between the Kincade family. Brex is strong just like her sisters and also inclined to keep things to herself while she works through her feelings. Drew has a lot of pressure in himself but he’s so wonderful with those he loves fiercely.

Anyone looking for a new book boyfriend? Let me introduce you to Drew.
Killer eyes, football player, sensitive and all around great guy.

“Goddamn you, Brexton Kincade. You made me start to believe. You made me want. And now I have to figure out what the hell that means.”

Hard to Score by @kbromberg is ready to be downloaded to your kindles! If you haven’t started this series, what are you waiting for? Seriously, the heroines are some of the most bad ass chicks I have read. I am a sucker for a hottie in a sports uniform 🔥... but when you add a woman who is strong, independent and sassy 🤯

“I look at you and see one of the most gifted and talented quarterbacks I’ve ever seen but the man beneath is too goddamn afraid to step into the limelight. It’s hard to score if you never want to touch the fucking field, Bowman.”

I think this book by far is my favourite. I know Kristy struggled with this book, saying it lacked chemistry, I can safely say that she did a damn good job at fixing whatever needed to be fixed because Drew and Brexton’s chemistry was off the charts. Friends, to enemies to lovers, this couple had it all. Braxton reminds me of myself, a girl who believes in love and she found her love in Drew, she always had.

I was hooked right from the prologue and fell in love with Drew instantly. He had a troubled past and held onto a lot of anger. To finally see that anger melt away and let the only girl he’s ever truly love in was amazing. 5 star read

Hunter was by far my favourite Hard series hero, up until now. Drew has taken that spot away!

***5 "ILYBK" stars***

AVAILABLE NOW!!!

"How can I look at her and want her, knowing part of my fate is because of that last name she has?"

I love K. Bromberg's stories very much and this series is sooo beautiful...
I love the Kincade girls and their father so much and every time, I'm falling for each girl's man!!!
And in here was Brexton's turn to fell in love with a man that I just wanted to hug him so tight for everything that he had to endure in his life...
I loved this story and I can not wait for Chase's turn!!! Is it a possibility her man to be that jerk Finn??? Hmmm...
But let me focus on Brex and Drew...

"When it comes to athletes, fans and history remember two types: the undeniable stars and the ones who caused scandals. I could be the first one. But my fear is that the second one will rob me of that posibility."

Brexton, as the rest of her sisters, is a sports manager and she is very good at her job, even though sports field is a man's world and she has to fight very hard for her place among them...
This time, she has to land a big name from the football field, but he is a jerk and a tough nut to crack...
What she is not expecting is to see again after so many years her first love, Drew on the same field and as a second sting player when his talent is outstanding...
From that moment, Brex can not stop thinking about Drew and she just wants to get close to him and to understand him better...

"One thing is for sure... the teenage boy I used to have a massive crush on ended up growing into an incredibly handsome man."

Drew is an amazing quarterback, but a scandal of the past is following him the last ten years and he can not escape it, even thought he wasn't the one in fault... And because of that, he is always the second string in the team and even though it pains him, he had just accepted his faith.
What he wasn't expecting was Brexton Kincade to tumble into his life for once again to make him question everything that he believes...
He is the daughter of the enemy and while he is drown to her, it feels like a big betrayal toward his family...

"She's like a Juliet whose family lead to the demise of mine. Yet, I'm still looking, still watching... still trying to rationalize how I could be with a woman like her."

Well, these two were amazing together, even when they weren't anything more that two people that they used to know each other...
There was a big chemistry in here and a big background story that was keeping them apart...
Brexton needed a second chance with him and she was determined to make him realize that he don't have to settle for anything in his life...
Drew felt guilty to be with Brex, but still... his heart was pushing him in the opposite direction than his mind was trying to lead him... Brex was giving him hope and strength to fight for what he really wanted...
So, what will happen after all, when they had stuck in the middle of a war that they had no part of???

"You're my chance, Brex. Taking the goddamn field in a game is my chance. And I'm fucking terrified that if I get an opportunity at either, that I'll screw them both up royally and never get a shot again."

I love this series so much... I love how the author is showing us the sports world and I like that we are seeing it through a woman's eyes.
The love story was amazing and it really touched my soul...
I loved Drew and Brexton. And I love her family so much.
Especially her father. I just want to hug this guy who is so supportive of his daughters!!
I might need a fifth and final book about him finding the love again??? LOL!!! I'm just saying!!!

"She deserves the white knight when I'm nothing but a Montugue destined to be at odds with her and her family forever."

Hard To Score by K. Bromberg was an irresistible combination of swoony, sexy and angsty. The intoxicating adrenaline rush of a great sports romance came together with a heartaching love story. K. Bromberg once again delivers a power packed performance.

Brexton and Drew were childhood friends and their families were very close. Her father being the leading sports agent and his father being the NFL superstar. They had a connection for sure and it was more than friendship. But before they could explore it, Drew's father got involved in a scandal that destroyed everything. Now years later, they meet again. Brexton is now one of the successful sports agent working for her father. Drew hasn't been so lucky in his football career. Immensely talented but pushed to shadows for his father's sin. Is this their second chance? Or will the lies from past will ruin them again?

K. Bromberg excels at writing broken and perfect male leads. Drew has joined that never ending list. He is so angry and frustrated and bitter. The people haven't treated him fairly. His team management didn't even give him a chance to show his talent. He was losing time and love for the game. My heart just couldn't take all his pain. His life is ridden by scandals, misunderstandings and neglect from his very own family. But he still stands strong and proud. Brexton is such a beautiful soul and I love her heart. The dynamic mix of sass and sweetness. She chased Drew's demons away even when Drew wasn't ready to face them. It was an uphill battle. And the author took me from one emotional extreme to another. It was dreamy. Swoonworthy. So traditionally romantic. And super sexy. And then it was heartbreaking. Angsty. Epic emotions in every layer. I just couldn't stop reading it.

Hard to Score by K. Bromberg is the epitome of a perfect sports romance. Sinful. Soulful. Sensational. All the sweet and explosive emotions in an enticing package.

"I love you, but then again, I always have."

Wow, what a breath of fresh air and enjoyable sports romance from K Bromberg! This is the third book for the Kincade siblings (they are interconnected standalones) and this one features "Bratty Brex" and "Dreadful Drew." Brexton and Drew have a past history, their families were tight as can be at one point before circumstances separated them. Drew has a grudge against the Kincade family which has him resisting his feelings for Brexton, but in reality, they can't keep their hands off each other. I just loved the slow burn vibes as they built up to their romance and eventually Drew became "Dreamy Drew" instead of dreadful. This couple just captured my heart as they both had to let their walls down and be vulnerable in order to fully fall for each other. And oh did I love the romantic gestures in this book. If you love a fun sports romance that's relatively light on the angst but full of heart, this one is for you! I loved it!

Hard to Score is a fabulous read. It's like star crossed love, mixed with with childhood friends and add in that touch of football and family drama and you get this read you cannot put down. If you have read any of the Play Hard books then you are familiar with the Kincade sisters. This is Brexton's story. You will love this one when it comes to Brexton tells it how it is with her clients. I like she doesn't hold back. Then there is Drew the amazing quarter back that hasn't been given his chance. He struggles with his family relationships and is so caring. You get why he fights the attraction with Brexton in the beginning once you get a little taste of their family history. Brexton and Drew are just so lovely together. There is such a pull you cannot deny. This is probably my favorite couple yet in the Play Hard series. I love that Kincade sisters and how they always have each others backs. I really cannot wait for more from the Kincade sisters. Go one click this one.
