Timid Ru does everything to stay out of trouble, preferring solitude. However, each night at home, she senses someone watching her. Unsure if the danger is real or all in her head, she finds herself chasing the adrenaline of being observed.
With no recollection of a traumatic night, Ru's world shifts when a mysterious gift appears on her doorstep, forcing her to acknowledge the unsettling truth—she is being watched, and danger looms. Waking up alone with her masked intruder, her sole goal becomes survival.
As her secret desires are exposed, Ru faces the ultimate test. How much can she endure before giving in? Will she resist the truth, or will the masked man turn her world upside down?
If you are looking for a plot-driven story with limited spice, this is not the book for you. If you are looking for a short, spicy Christmas Thriller to get your thighs clenching, then this is the novella for you. I'm a depraved soul and this book is for others like me.
Run, Rundolph, Run contains mature and graphic content that is not suitable for all audiences. This is a Dark Romance/Thriller Novella. Please check trigger warnings at the beginning of the book before reading.
If you are looking for a dark spicy quick read with a masked man. This is for you. I devoured this in one sitting. It was just what I needed to read in between books. It’s a great Christmas novella too but can also be read anytime really. It’s only 52 pages. Definitely recommend. I kind of would’ve liked more if I’m being honest but still a great novella.
Sign me up for any stalker romance, especially if there is a mask.
Short, spicy, questionable swoon moments of “should I really like this?” (Yes we do and give us more)
Other than the names and it taking place in Christmas Eve, this is not a typical holiday novella; however, that’s exactly why I read it so no complaints here. Just don’t expect tree decorating or cookie making. But now that I think about it, can we get a part two of this story with this because I can see them getting…. ;)
Ugh this is hard to rate. I did the 🎧 on hoopla. The audio was really really hard to listen too. If I didn't have a paint brush in my hand and paint all over me I would have dnf. But it is under a hour audio so I kept it going. The male narrator did well but the female narrator first of all was so soft I couldn't hear her well on max volume on my 🎧. Then her male voices were very hard to listen too. It made the book seem cringer than it really was.
The story itself was good. Masked stalker. Gruesome. Thriller vibes. Spicy.
I wanted to read this book simply because I was drawn in by the cover and thought it would be a good read for the holidays but boy oh boy was I left highly disappointed. Let me start by saying that if this book was longer than what it was I most definitely would’ve DNF’d it because the entire story just felt extremely forced and patchy. Between the writing jumping back and forth from present to past tense, to the overly descriptive writing to barely and descriptive writing (it is literally written out step by step how the FMC makes her coffee but later on in the book when “ghostface” and the FMC are doing the deed it says that he’s sucking on her breasts but never took his mask off? Only to then take it off at a later time? Like hello? What?), and then just being extremely confusing with the timeline and unnecessary details this story was just an all around disappointment for me. It had the potential to be such a good holiday novella but the writing just didn’t do it any kind of justice so it was executed very poorly.
Stalker, possessive, obsessive & a masked man? Add touch her & ☠️ & I’m here for it.
“Let me help you, baby. Can I do that?” We do love a considerate king, such a gentleman. Swoon
Run, Rudolph, Run is a perfect holiday treat where the villain puts in the work & gets the girl. It’s short and sinfully delicious❤️🔥 I am a glutton and would love more from these two to see what kind of shenanigans they could get up to.
I'd read anything JP puts out, bc she's awesome. If you do not like dark stories, you probably will not like this. However, it has an HEA and the bad guy gets his comeuppance. Stalking and murder are included. SA is talked about, but does not happen on the page. It was a great holiday reading distraction!
Don't get me wrong I liked this, but the only holiday about it is their names. The description also says why choose? That's not true. It's a short read but 100% check your triggers first!!
“Such a good girl. Breathe for me, take a deep breath"
This super short Christmas dark romance was bloody festive 😅 🩸 and it did not disappoint.
It was more mvrdery than smutty, but that's ok because I loved the unhinged vibes of it all 🤣
"The things I’d do to be on my knees in front of her. I eat her out like a starved man. Sated only after making her orgasm until her body spasmed and she begged me to stop."
The description states that this is a Why Choose, but it's not.
Stalking Possessive Touch her and 💀 (literally) Pierced MMC
DISCLAIMER: “If you are looking for a plot-driven story with limited spice, this is not the book for you. If you are looking for a short, spicy Christmas Thriller to get your thighs clenching, then this is the novella for you. I'm a depraved soul and this book is for others like me.”
The disclaimer was the reason I added to the cart. Quick read- very spicy but enjoyable if you’re a little “deprived soul”. This book won’t be for everyone. There’s gore, rape, stalking, and murder and also spice.
The narration was so cringing and inconsistent in sound. The Female recording is way quieter than the Male so everytime his chapter started it would be painfully loud. The writing included some of my least favorite phrases/words. I couldn’t help but laugh through it as it all made me feel uncomfortable. I didn’t feel any chemistry between the characters and the writing felt messy.
Unhinged masked stalker novella, but make it Christmas!
It had a lot of potential, but it was painfully short. Can’t get in a lot of plot in such a short read. The narration was not very good, but it ticked a lot of my boxes, mask play, morally grey MC, stalker, unhinged obsessed touch her and die vibes. I would have given this a 3.5 stars but the virgin thing always kills it for me. Were all the hoes at in these reads? 🤣
Story was short and mostly spice unfortunately I didn't feel any tension or chemistry. The narration would've been better if done in a Duet style. It wasn't my favorite just wheres the plot...where's the stalking it just didn't last long enough to really feel suspenseful or romantic felt kinda forced.
I didn’t care for the way it was narrated, for example; instead of it being the man saying something in the woman’s chapter it’s the woman trying to voice it and it comes off as weird and throws you off. The storyline was fun, the names were unique, the characters were obsessed but with a novella I can see why they would need to be practically in love before they meet officially.
“Can’t you see? I did it for you. All of this. I would do anything for you,” I said.
What a hot and spicy read! It was a perfect novella to get my dark romance fix quickly hehe I loved the dual POV and the revenge arc. The spice was great! It was pretty short, so a great book when you have some time to kill or are waiting.
With the Holidays aproaching, she avoids her co-worker's advances, sure that she'll spend Christmas alone. Cole is handsome, but Ru would rather not be alone with him, ever again.
Well, she won't be completely alone on Christmas, as Ru's sure that someone is watching her .......
Who wouldnt want a big beefy Klaus to look out for you?! This is a dark stalker holiday romance that's fast paced and spicy with a touch of WTF. I enjoyed it!
2.5 ⭐️ Rounded up. Super quick read, I wanted more. The audio was not it. The female narrator was hard to listen to, but luckily it was a short read. The volume difference between the women and the male narrator was absurd. I had to adjust my volume drastically ever time the narrator changed
Very quick read, so I didn’t expect much from the world building and plot. Mostly spicy. Though I feel like the writing style and grammar kind of took me out of the groove. It came across as cringy or awkward but it wasn’t terrible. I would give it an extra half star.
He takes touch her and 💀 to a whole new level. Masked, hunky, will do anything for her. And has her nickname TATTOOED before we even properly meet. Stalked / watched her for months. The way he would do anything for her 🥵 my man is hotttt. Short read, but worth it. I loved it.
Definitely a spicy read, but I was surprised it was only 52 pages! A few chapters in and I thought I had missed something because I felt lost and didn’t know what was going on. It was like a cliff notes version of what would have been an excellent full length book.
This is a perfect quick read for those on the go during the holiday rush…you get a possessive OTT MMC that gives touch her and ☠️☠️ vibes, some spice, and a HEA
