She drowned in the Underworld's glitz and glamor. His darkness became her best comfort.
Though she wasn't born into it, Katarina Camello found herself at the center of New York's finest syndicates. She was the Underworld's favorite definition of a mob wife: young, beautiful, and obedient.
At least that was what she wanted everyone to see. While she was young and beautiful, there was not a single bone in her body that was obedient. She had a witty mouth and spontaneous soul that her husband was not shy to keep in check, as he phrased it.
Trapped in a loveless marriage, all she could do was play the role. Maybe one day, she would believe it too.
Nobody had figured her out. Nobody until him.
Luciano Beneveti was reputed to be the most feared person in America, if one was being modest. At only twenty-nine years old, he was a ruthless ruler and an even deadlier Made Man.
So naturally, when his father tragically passed from a deal gone wrong, he stepped up to the throne and claimed his position as the new Beneveti Boss. It was safe to say, this man was definitely not to be messed with.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I can be put off with mafia books sometimes and I have to be really in the mood for them.
With this book I was captured within the first chapter.
To say I received an advanced copy of this book there was no grammar mistakes and no sentence that put me off, I can till that this author but a lot of hard work into the writing and it really showed.
The characters was also another reason that I was hooked. Katarina’s smart mouth reminded me a lot of myself and although she was young, what she went through in her life was awe inspiring. Even after all that she had been through her willingness to help others was incredible.
Luciano is a morally grey man with his line of work however his love for Katarina is every girls dream. Behind his very hard and dark exterior was a real softie. From the way he showed his love, to helping Katarina and also to his time at the shelter and with Lori was incredible.
Maria is someone that was very easy to love, she is the motherly figure that Katarina needed in her life and it was lovely how much she cared about her.
I wish we got to hear more about Arnold but from what we did hear I can also see why he would be close to Katarina’s heart.
Again, I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a great mafia romance with a HEA.

I could not put this down finishing in less than 24hrs this story sucked me in. This story had me in ALL of my emotions across the spectrum from frustation with these characters life choices to hot and bothered under the collar. The spice was just right and though in later chapters some plot points felt rushed the smut stood solid.
In the end the story is one I have found myself addicted to and will be eagerly awaiting future stories. ❤
This book was written decently! The story line caught my attention from the get go and I genuinely enjoyed the read. I devoured it in a couple days. I’m actually looking forward to the next two in the series which is rare for me.
Some points were a tad confusing when the characters would speak about one thing and switch into something else without leading to it but it was easily worked out as I read. Something’s were a bit repetitive, but what book doesn’t have repetitive phrases or confusion? Overall I enjoyed Made to sin, it’s more light hearted than my normal reads but has some dark themes. I really enjoyed it!
Also, I love a man who kneels for his woman while being ruthless to others.

This was my first mafia romance, and I read it in just a few hours.
I was immediately drawn to Katarina & everything she had to go through.
Luciano… swoon!
I really enjoyed the writing style… definitely some spice but not a ton. But; I enjoyed all of it and mostly Katarina’s sass.
I couldn’t put this book down. With the next 2 books in the series, I hope we get more of Katarina & Luciano because I feel like their story is far from over.
How freaking fantastic. I haven't been this drawn into a book in awhile and this mafia romance sucked me in so fast, that I could not put it down. The drama, the Underworld, the love - all of it was brilliant. I cannot wait to own this physical copy and for the second book to come out.
If you're questioning whether to read this, just do it. You won't be disappointed.
This is the first book I have read in this genre and I am hooked. I read this book in less than 24 hours and it left me wanting to know more about Luciano and Katarina. Can we all have a Luciano in our lives? His attention to detail ( insert swoon).
Luciano is a man that would do anything for Katarina and I do mean anything, if you catch my drift 😏. This is a man obsessed!! He fell first and he fell harder.
He saw through Katarina. A soft part of him spoke out to him to help her and he did exactly that. He gave her an opportunity to breathe without someone always hovering over her or expecting something from her. It was beautiful to see this hard exterior of a man slowly break because of the power she had over him.
They both have tragic stories and I truly think it brought them closer than ever before to be able to share a vulnerable moment of their life and not feel burdened with that continuous weight on their shoulder. They got to learn more and share a piece of their heart without feeling judged because they know they both feel the same. 🥺

Made to Sin is officially one of my favourite mafia reads! I absolutely love the character Katarina, she’s witty and fiesty and happy to put Luciano in his place. Luciano is the perfect morally grey character, who will burn the world just for her. This story follows Katarina who is trapped in an abusive, loveless marriage as she meets Luciano, the new boss. Their banter is top tier also! This book is the closest I’ve found to the Made Men series by Danielle Lori, which is my absolute favourite mafia series and I can’t wait for the next instalment! Highly recommend this one!
When I first started reading this book, I was immediately hooked by the chemistry between the main characters. The book follows the MFC, Katarina, as she navigates her life in the mafia world, overcoming her past and slowly falling for the MMC, Luciano.
This was not my first time reading a mafia romance (I read the Made series prior), but I found myself enjoying the author’s writing and story-building much more. My biggest struggle with reading mafia romances is that it is very common for the main characters to follow the lust-to-love trope, with hardly any romantic development that makes sense and with a very generic plotline. This book was the complete opposite. I really enjoyed that the author effectively connected Katarina and Luciano’s past trauma and integrated this into how their feelings for each other developed. It made sense for them to fall in love and their feelings did not seem to develop from nowhere. I loved how the two were able to actually communicate with each other (the miscommunication trope frustrates me) and the touch-her-and-💀 vibes from Luciano had me giggling and kicking my feet throughout the book.
I do wish that there was more angst/violence throughout the book, especially considering that the storyline is centered around the mafia life, and I felt that the climax of the book was somewhat unclear. However, this is entirely up to preference and while re-reading, I found that these initial issues actually gave a refreshing storyline to what is typically expected of a mafia romance.
Overall, I feel that the author excels at character development – especially through the natural-sounding dialogue, the easy-to-read writing style, and the dual POV (!!!). I’m excited to read the following books in the series and I can’t wait to see Vy Le’s growth as an author. Thank you for the opportunity to read this ARC 🤩🤩
I absolutely loved Luciano and Katarina in this book; their chemistry was immediate, but there was a slow burn to their relationship. I found myself pushing to read through the early chapters faster so I could keep getting more of their interactions.
Katarina came from a troubled past and wasn’t in a good situation at the start of the book, but unlike many FMC who have unresolved trauma, she wasn’t weak. I loved that she was stubborn and had no filter sometimes. Luciano is basically the ultimate book boyfriend. Possessive and gives very much touch-her-and-die vibes which we love 🥰 but also so thoughtful. Him being involved in a certain charity in the book only made him hotter 🥵
The only reason I didn’t give this book 5 stars was because I would’ve enjoyed seeing more of the mafia side. The romance was perfect, but I felt as if the plot could’ve used a more exciting climax or spent longer on the action. Certain things happened very fast and as the reader I would’ve enjoyed a little more insight or details. I also would’ve loved to have more scenes of Katarina being a blunt badass to the other dons and their wives with Luciano proudly smirking at her side 😂😍
Overall I would definitely recommend this book and I look forward to reading the next one in the series! Thank you Vy Le for giving me the opportunity to read and review your book ☺️
This is an ARC review after discovering the author on a Facebook group! The rate in which I devoured this book should be illegal! The character growth of Katarina was breathtaking and so genuine, she is a strong woman even when faced with an abusive relationship. The compassion and level of friendship she showed was truly warming to read and I loved that even though at times her character seemed weak(rightfully so) she was not fragile. Now on to the MMC, I also really enjoyed Luciano and his touch her and I’ll kill you vibe. He is a bad ass mafia man but has that sweet swoon level possessive behavior for Katarina and I completely ate that up. This book is dual pov and the writing style flowed in an easy to follow clear manner. I would like to thank Vy Le for allowing me the opportunity to read this arc and hope I have the privilege of reading more in the future as she is a great writer.
ARC Reviewer for Vy Le, thanks for the opportunity!
I read a blurb about Made to Sin and I was instantly hooked. The author has good character building and good story line. I’m not much of a dark romance reader, but this wasn’t too dark. Ample amount of spice. I liked the different sides to each character.
Definitely a nice writing style and keeps your attention. I couldn’t put it down on multiple occasions.
Chili peppers: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ Tropes: Mafia romance, arranged marriage, slow burn, hurt her and die, virgin FMC Triggers: drug use, domestic violence
I’ll start off by saying I’m not really a mafia book reader. I’ve gallivanted, but ultimately stick to SciFi, Fantasy, Romantasy reads. I was in a bit of a book slump so wanted to try something different.
I was given this book to ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The start of the book felt a little slow, but I stuck with it, and I’m glad I did. Once this book hooked me I could not stop reading it (except, like, when I HAD to for work and such).
FMC, Katarina, has a sharp wit and sarcastic mouth, two things I love in a woman. She toes the line with her behavior.
MMC, Luciano, is the ideal morally grey love interest. Possessive, protective, “touch her and die.” He’s a mafia boss with blood on his hands, but on the other side of the coin opens shelters for domestic violence survivors.
The relationship and love that develops between FMC and MMC is authentic and not just shoved in your face out of nowhere. There is chemistry, and it builds with romance, common ground, trauma bonding and cute snippy banter. This makes the relationship more relatable, believable.
You need to pay attention, because the story jumps around at some points. Heed the trigger warnings.
If you’re looking for a good romance, with realistic relationship building and characters you grow to love, pick this up!
“It was only us at the moment, and everyone else was stardust.”
This book was a fun read, I flew through it in a day and it kept my attention. The only thing was the second half felt a bit rushed and out of place sometimes. Some of the topics in the book were a little heavy so always check trigger warnings.
The story was told perfectly and the spicy toe curling! The chemistry between the Katarina and Luciano was captivating and kept me wanting more.
Overall I would recommend this book for anyone who wants a good dark romance to read that will keep your attention. Has good smut and a plot to match! I loved it

***this is an ARC review*** This book was amazing and hard to put down! Any time I had free time(which unfortunately was limited due to being a parent and the holidays) it was spent reading this book! I wish I could have read it nonstop because in confident I would have finished it in a day. This book had me on edge and the spice was great. Only downside I found was the ending felt a bit rushed! 10/10 recommend and I can’t wait for more.
I was reading two books at the same time and I was very captivated by this one cuz mafia and enemies to lovers. Two of my favorite things I look for in a book.
I loved the way the female character was written. She was strong and held her ground. I also really liked the male character. He’s just like how you’d want your mafia MMC to be. He wasn’t as toxic as other mafia men I read about because he had a sweet side to him but he was still very possessive and protective over her. We love to see it 😮💨
ARC review ** I was so captivated by this storyline and its characters! Once I began reading, I found myself looking for any excuse to pick it back up to finish. I loved how relatable Katarina was and the way she found herself throughout the book. Luciano… i drooled over him the entire book. Absolutely love a cruel man that is only soft for his woman. I’ll eagerly be waiting for the rest of this series!!
Luciano. Beneveti. That’s really all you need to know when reading this book. This man is ALLLL you need 🥵
I feel like I’m sort of a mafia romance snob.. and I’m super particular about them, but this book was so fun and so good!
The beginning was pretty slow, halfway through it really picked up and I couldn’t put it down! There were some moments where I did get confused on where we were in the book and had to go back to reread, it does jump from one time to the next pretty quick, but I don’t think it affected the story or took anything away. I love a man that will kill anyone who even LOOKS at his woman. I couldn’t get enough of Luciano.
& I’m super excited for the next book after getting a sneak into it 😉
I had the privilege of getting to read an ARC copy of this book!!!
Let me tell you I loved everything about it!! The way Luc was always protect of Kat in anyway he could even before everything happened between them I loved so much. The story progressed in a beautiful way and I experienced all the emotions!! This book sucked me in from the start!! Every side character that was important to our main characters I loved just as much as the main two!!
I’m so beyond grateful I got to read an arc copy of this book! I will be reading any future book that Vy writes!!!
I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait to read book two!
Loved Made to Sin! The story line had me invested from the first chapter, the characters were relatable, there was a good amount of spice, and the plot kept me going. My emotions were all over with this book. Found myself laughing at the banter between Luciano and Katarina. Am definitely looking forward to the next two books in the series!

𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖: Oh my goodness, let me just scream for a moment because THIS BOOK by Vy Le! 🌟 My first 5-star read of 2025, and honestly, I don’t think anything else will compare. I am so glad I stumbled upon this beautiful book because it was exactly what I needed to kick off the year!
Vy Le truly outdid herself with this debut novel. Her writing is like a warm hug with a sprinkle of glitter—so engaging and beautifully crafted. Every page is infused with unique voice, making the characters leap off the page and into your heart. The way she balances humor, romance, and sophistication is nothing short of genius. Thankyou Vy Le for creating such a delightful and unforgettable story!
The chemistry between Luciano and Katerina? Off the charts. Like, I was blushing, giggling, and losing sleep over these two. The plot was ridiculously engaging—I swear, I started reading and couldn’t stop until I hit the last page. Goodbye productivity, hello obsession.
And let’s talk about Luciano...oh my lord. This man was obsessed in the best way. The way he looked at Katerina? Chef’s kiss. He was intense, swoony, and totally stole my heart. But let’s not forget Katerina herself because she might just be my favorite FMC ever. She was funny and sassy but also so sophisticated, it was like a perfect blend of chaos and grace. She was feisty, witty, and honestly, her banter had me howling.
Vy Le has a magical way of weaving emotions and humor together, making every moment in the book feel real and relatable. Her characters are so well-developed, you can’t help but root for them every step of the way. This book was everything I didn’t know I needed. If you haven’t read it yet, what are you even doing? Go grab it right now and prepare to be obsessed!
𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆: 5/5
𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐄: 3/5
𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐏𝐒 : Mafia Romance Obsessed MMC He falls first and harder. Forbidden Romance Touch her and you die. Slow burn Dual Pov Taboo love Forced Proximity
Made to Sin follows Katarina, a Mob Wife to the Camello family who is in a loveless and abusive marriage, and Luciano, the Don of the Beneveti family.
I really enjoyed Katarina and Luciano's relationship. There is a lot of banter between the two of them as Katarina can be really sassy, which I always love in FMC. Luciano, of course, is amazing. He's sweet, funny, can be little unhinged. Luciano has that looks like he can kill you (which I mean he can) but is a cinnamon roll vibe. Always love a good cinnamon roll MMC. I think this would be a perfect book if you want to dip your toe into dark romance. It's not as dark as other mafia romances but you still get a feel of what dark romance is.
That being said, I do normally prefer my dark romance to be a bit darker than this book which is why my main complaint is Marco. I personally think he could have been a bit darker. Some of the things he does and doesn't do just didn't really make sense for his character. Considering he's a piece of crap, I just feel like he could have been worse. But for someone just getting into dark romance, his crappiness is probably at a good level as it's not too intense. The pacing at the end seemed to be a bit rushed for me, I think the ending could have started earlier in the book to allow it to be more fleshed out.
I'm giving this book a 3.5 for the overall story and 1.5-2 chili peppers for spice. I do tend to read darker romance so what I consider spicy could be different on how someone else rates spice. But for a first novel, I think Vy Le did a great job and I'll keep an eye out for future books.
I am only 60% through (I will come back with an update)
Um i haven’t been able to put this DOWN. This has got to be one of the best mafia books I have ever read.
I love Katarina. She is so sarcastic, genuine, and confident (most of the time). I love her stubbornness, it makes her character feel SO real. It makes me sad that she feel so weak, she is the strongest character i’ve ever read about. She honestly reminds me a lot of myself 😂 especially with the impulsive decision and stubbornness. I like that Katarina likes to read spicy romance books, that was a perfect touch.
Luciano is 😍 He is everything you want in a book boyfriend. He is possessive, sweet, and so confident. Ugh, i just can’t even describe words for how much I love his character.
Honourable mention for Maria. My God, she is my favourite character in the whole book. She’s sassy, funny, confident, and so loving. I can’t think of a better side character and never have I read about one with SO much personality.
I love the dual POV. The writing has been impeccable and clear. The spicy scenes are just 😮💨🌶️🔥. The language, the dialogue and the praise kink, i am swearing over here. The writing isn’t cringe at all (which is hard to come by!!). I’m blushing, laughing, giggling and kicking my feet. This book is where it’s at.
Congrats Vy Le, you have written my new favourite book. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to read your ARC copy. I can’t wait to continue this book ❤️😁
UPDATE———
I just finished this and WOW, it was everything and more. I stand with the 5/5 stars. This story was beautiful. I can’t really say much as I don’t want to spoil it, but PLEASE read this when it’s released.
I did find it a little rushed towards the end, but still very satisfied and amazed with “Made to Sin.”
Nobody had dared to cross him. Nobody until her.
Luciano would do anything for Katarina including getting rid of her abusive husband some of my favorite quotes for him are:
“It only gets worse from there, sweetheart. I was so obsessed, I fucking worked with your husband to see your face more, I taunted you to hear your voice, I planned events so that you would be nearby. Is that honest enough for you?”
You make me go fucking insane, so insane that I killed that fucker of a husband you had for daring to lay a hand on you. Is that honest enough for you? Because somewhere along the way, the obsession turned into love. I fell in love with you, Katarina. There is no replacing you— not today, not ever. You want your honesty so bad, there you go.”
This is an ARC review after discovering the author on tiktok!! I read mostly romance, but I didn't have a Goodreads account until this review because DAMN this book hit the spot
It's definitely a refreshing book in the genre of dark romance, since it has a male lead that's actually dark and *isn't* a misogynist. The main character herself, Katarina, is also more like a good friend to the reader instead of being a cliche damsel in distress, so I wasn't mentally skipping past any of her inner dialogue since she added pretty good commentary (ESPECIALLY when she's thinking about Luciano). Both these characters work well as a couple too, their dynamic goes from spicy and wanting to so sweet but STILL wanting, it's something I was fs jealous of but I did still ultimately root for them bc they did seem like they belonged together.
And if you don't read for love, PLEASE the smut is good enough to read on it's own, it had me, a seasoned smut reader, captivated.
I'm a vibes and characters reader, and this book had me covered. I didn't really feel bogged down or confused by plot, and overall, it was an enjoyable read with a good pace for me. My favorite part about this though was the author's writing style. I think she really shines in terms of description and inner dialogue, everything was easy to read and understand. When the parts I want to read aren't just the smut, I always know the author has done a good job. This is also her first book, and ngl I was surprised at how the level of writing is similar to that of other seasoned authors. The end of the book had a teaser for her next installment, and I'm hyped for it :)!
I was lucky enough to read this mafia novel early on and I honestly loved it. I love me a good dual POV. Katarina was such a bad ass woman who didn't hold back. Luciano is absolutely amazing. What every girl wants in a man, bad ass on the outside and a sweetheart on the inside.
I love that Luciano cared so much. Making sure he always communicated and that he wanted to please the ladies in bed. He is much of a touch her and die kind of guy.
Katarina is one tough cookie. Never backing down no matter how hard things got even though she wanted to give up. I am happy that she finally said enough was enough and stood her ground towards the end.
The spice in the book was just enough of darkness. Me personally, I always love more spice! I would have loved to see more of Luciano in his element as a mafia boss. Some more action. That would be my only downfall of the book.
OMG I almost forgot about Maria. I just love her and Katarina's relationship, almost that mother figure for her. I do wish I heard more about the relationship with her and Arnold.
I would recommend this book. I am looking forward to the rest of the trilogy especially because we got a taste of the second book and I am already hooked.
Thank you again Vy Le for sending me this book and look forward to reading the rest of your trilogy!
Made to Sin- Vy Le Genre: Dark Romance Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶🌶🌶 Tropes: strong willed fmc, unlikely hero, morally grey mmc, touch her and die, he falls first, forced proximity, forced marriage, who did this, obsessed mmc, mafia, HEA.
TRIGGER WARNINGS ⚠️
Katarina young mob wife to Made Man Marco Camello, but behind the glitz and glamour that everyone sees. While they may play the part of a loving marriage, behind the doors of their mansion Marco keeps its witty mouth and spontaneous soul wife in check. Stuck in her hell on earth, that’s until the devil himself appears Luciano.
Luciano a Mad Man one of the most feared men in New York City. Fearless ruler of the Beneveti family, Luciano has his eyes set to make his mob family the most ruthless in New York. That’s until he walks into the gala, Katarina Camello becomes his news obsession.
Katarina is truly a power house, her witty and smart comebacks are amusing. Even with her traumatic life her wiliness to help others even at her own risk is inspiring. I enjoyed the banter between her and her house keeper/personal stylist Maria. They have a beautiful friendship, a bond between to souls stuck in their situation.
Luciano, well.... a morally grey man, willing to kill everyone and anyone to help Katarina get out of her marriage, being her secret support/lifeline. Only to make her his, at the first opportunity. He has a big soft heart, the way he shows his love, holds her when she’s having a panic attack, hires her house keeper and driver just so she feels safe. There’s lots more why Luciano is a softie but you can read it.
I’m looking forward to reading more from Vy Le, I would like to read more about Sylvio or Sofia.
