Batman #618 is pure nightmare fuel in the best way. The Lazarus Pit twist with Robin, Bruce’s sanity hanging by a thread, and Hush’s game tightening the noose make this penultimate chapter a relentless gut punch. Loeb and Jim Lee are at their dark, twisted peak—serving up tension, horror, and gorgeous, haunting visuals that stick with you long after you turn the last page.

Batman #618, "Hush, Chapter Eleven: "The Game"

Batman faces off against an old ally, long believed dead. His former Robin, Jason Todd, appears to have been resurrected and is now threatening to kill the current Robin, Tim Drake. A lengthy fight soon reveals another ploy exists beneath it all, and that the bandaged man stalking Batman is just one more step ahead.

"I trust you."

So Jason Todd isn't Jason Todd... it's actually Clayface. Bruce reaffirms that he trusts Selina while also coming ever so close to uncovering the truth of this mystery foe.
