Story -
The story revolves around a man who, during his MA in Urdu, was known in his university as a talented poet and writer. Among his classmates was a beautiful young woman who shared an interest in poetry. As they spent more time together, he gradually fell in love with her. He believed their bond was genuine and imagined a future with her.
However, his dreams were shattered when she suddenly left the university before completing her degree. Later, he discovered that she had been engaged to her cousin all along, who was living abroad, and was soon going to marry him. He also realized that she had mainly used him to refine and polish her poetry and literary work, while never intending to pursue a relationship with him.
Heartbroken, he moved on with his life. Since his mother had passed away, he depended on a distant relative to find a suitable bride for him. Through her, he married a woman from a typical Punjabi family. His wife was simple and practical, but she had little appreciation for literature, poetry, or the artistic world that meant so much to him.
As the years passed, this became a source of disappointment for him. His wife often compared him to the husbands of other women, saying that some were doctors and others were lawyers, while her husband spent his time writing and filling pages with words. Although she fulfilled her responsibilities as a wife, she never truly understood his passion for literature.
Nearly nineteen or twenty years later, the woman he had once loved unexpectedly returned to his life. By then, she had established herself in literary circles and invited him to a poetry event as the chief guest. Their paths crossed again, and they began meeting more frequently. Slowly, the old memories resurfaced, and he found himself comparing his wife to his former sweetheart. In his mind, the woman from his university days appeared more refined, intellectual, and compatible than the wife he had lived with for decades.
One day, he was invited to the former sweetheart’s home. Expecting to find the same woman he had idealized for years, he instead witnessed something that changed his perspective completely. He saw how disrespectfully she treated her own husband and family. The image he had preserved in his mind for nearly two decades shattered in an instant.
That visit became a turning point in his life. For the first time, he looked at his own wife differently. He realized that although she did not understand poetry or appreciate his literary talents, she had remained loyal, sincere, and committed to him and their family throughout the years. The woman he had romanticized belonged to a fantasy from the past, while the woman beside him had been his true companion all along.
In the end, he returned home with a renewed appreciation for his wife and family, finally understanding the value of what he had always had but never fully acknowledged.

mujhe ye funny nahi balke realistic lagi!
kitney hi ese mard maujaud hain jo apni biwiyon ko pasand nahi karte lekin unki khidmato se hamesha pura pura faeda uthate hain! unko pasand nahi karte lekin bacche paida ho jaate hain 🙄 smh! Allah sab ko nek hidayat dein!

Very amazing i usually don’t like short novels, this is a masterpiece, It was ful of comedy, emotions, a very important and beautiful lesson, A must read for evey husband who thinks his wife is not good enough or doesn’t compliment him, It shows us the cruel reality of people

Humor card plays well.Except that if you are going to read it like "gen Z" so you are not going to like it.It has misogynistic approach.But if you will read it as just a Rom-Com maybe you will like it .
