Fantastic Story!

I came across this book while trying to find something new to read. The description and book cover caught my interest and soon I became caught up in the story.
Agatha, Emma, Mike the dog, and others make this a great book.
I'm looking forward to reading the next one.

Primer libro que leo de la autora. Nada mas empezarlo me ha dado la sensación que lo había leído, la cuestión es que tiene muchas similitudes con otro en que salen dos perros, ella hereda una librería y se encuentra un muerto en ella y se pone a investigar.
Agatha es abandonada por su novio y le da un giro a su vida. Había heredado una librería en un pueblo y se va a vivir allí. Se mete de lleno en un misterio e investiga en paralelo con la policía.
El libro no esta mal, pero no esta muy bien cuidado ya que al principio los diálogos van con "" americanas y luego los - españoles. A veces parece que esta todo cogido con pinzas, pero bueno para pasar un rato sin mucho que esperar no esta mal.

A paint-by-number cosy mystery, and not very well executed.
Things like the protagonist discovering a vital clue remembering details about a poem written by one of the characters years earlier - but that is the first mention of the poem in the book. Yes, I checked.
Said protagonist arrives to a small town, where she has never been, and just like that she is best friends with almost everyone (except the one person nobody likes) to the point everybody is giving her all the information, only sometimes hinting that maybe the police would like to know…
With loads of cosy mysteries on the market you can skip this one.

This was super different with a cold case death showing up first and the actual present day murder not coming until the last third or quarter of the book. Seeing who was killed, I wondered why it hadn’t happened sooner, lol. The showdown was super tense but Agatha had friends helping and the cavalry showed up just in time.

There were sure a ton of characters which is something I’m not really used to in most cozy mysteries and sometimes I felt lost like something happened on one page, then a statement would come along to contradict it or seem like a repeat.

I enjoyed this book but at times Agatha seemed to take chances without thinking things through. Her house was broken into a second time with things stolen, not only did she not report it but just went home & spent the night like nothing had happened. Just a few things I thought didn’t work but it was a good book & I will be reading the next one. I hope there will be more books to come.

This book had a cute plot and the story flowed really well. I loved the mischievous dog and thought that the characters were well developed. I can't wait for another adventure from Agatha and her miniature schnauzer Mike.
