Keeping Score

Rate this book
Life isn’t a fairy tale and Jax knows that all too well. She’s practical, pragmatic, and able to cope with anything the world throws at her, including a bar stool in a blackout or the slimy advances of her so-called arch nemesis, who seems hell bent on exploiting The Blues for his own gains.

Even when confronted with the woman who broke her heart, she knows what she has to do. After all, Carolyn is everything the club needs, and everything Jax wants. Why wouldn’t she let her back in?

But can Carolyn really believe that no one is keeping score and if they are, who’s winning?

This second chance romance is book two in The Blues series but can be read as a standalone.

Delightful read!
A much entertaining and enjoyable book #2 in this 'The Blues' ongoing chronicle. Upbeat and at times humorous dialogue; a gently well-developed romantic relationship between Jax & Carolyn with few previous characters and some new ones.
Highly recommended book and series!

Really enjoyable second chance romance. It was a little hard for me to get into it at the start, but I'm glad I did, because the rest of the book was lovely. Main characters had excellent chemistry and delightful banter. None of the stakes felt very high and I wish there was at least one more big plot point the characters had to face aside from their relationship. (Don't get me wrong, I actually really enjoyed and appreciated the fact that that there wasn't too much "will they/won't they" in this, and also that there was no "these characters are communicating poorly in their relationship just to give us plot," but I do wish there had been a little something else with realistic high stakes to give a bit more tension in the second half.) Overall great read, though, and I'd happily read more by Jo Cox.

Second Chance Romance

Jax had found the love of her life and lost her to her daughter and husband. Now Carolyn had moved back with her daughter after a divorce. Having only shared kisses in the past, Jax moves forward with love in every moment. Great series.

If you like second chance romance and books that have loving communities you will probably enjoy this book. The chemistry and banter between the two MC’s is great. If you are looking for a low angst read with funny moments then this would fit the bill.

Loved book 2

I enjoyed Jax and Carolyn reconnecting. It seems it was very sad that they had to split all those years ago. If you love finding lost love you will love this book.

brilliant

If you lived in the UK about 20 years ago you might remember a show called Playing The Field. If you enjoyed that show then these books are for you.
Another great story based around the Blues Ladies Team. Although this one had less sport and more story you still get the team spirit throughout.
Absolutely fantastic read. Brilliant main characters and a wonderful second chance love story.
Hoping we get a lot more of these books. I’m gonna take a guess at Becky next…judging by that last chapter.
