With Christmas fast approaching, the last thing widowed businessman Dawson Burke needs is the pesky personal shopper he hired prying into his personal life, even if Eve Hawley claims it will help her do her job. For him, Christmas is a reminder of the tragedy that changed his life forever. He doesn’t celebrate the holiday. He doesn’t even want to think about it.
But sexy, blunt-talking Eve is determined to find out what has turned Dawson into such a grinch. Unlike her, he has a loving extended family, yet he plans to jet off to Cabo and spend the holidays alone. The more she learns, the more drawn she is to the man she glimpses behind the grief.
Eve is persistent. Dawson will give her that. For the first time in years, he’s remembering what it feels like to laugh, to make plans, to be fully alive. But can he finally break free from his misplaced guilt and embrace a future with Eve?

I thought the personal shopper taking care of a Christmas gift list for someone who's grumpy this festive season was a good idea, something different. I love personal shopper novels and I love shopping, so I found this book hard to ignore.
A good festive story.

A wonderful, sweet and fun romance. I enjoyed the chemistry between Eve and Dawson though he tried very hard to keep his distance from her. The characters were very entertaining and realistic. Great creative holiday storyline that was well written and keeps your interest. This book is big on family, it inspires hope and tugs your heart strings. Everyone will enjoy this book.
I always enjoyed Jackie's books when she wrote for Harlequin Romance, so I grabbed this one for nostalgia's sake. It was a cute romance. Perfect for a holiday break.
