When I spot the For Sale sign in front of my grandma’s house, my world cracks in half. A bartender’s salary won’t fix this. Not in this economy. So when a regular offers me an invitation to a secret, no-names auction—one weekend, no strings, big payout—I say yes.
Half a million dollars for a weekend. My body. My rules. Or so I thought.
Until I see who wins me: Ripley and Atlas—my ex-stepbrother and his father.
Two men from my past. One unforgettable weekend. And a heat I can’t walk away from.
Now I’m tangled in a weekend of filthy indulgence, where pleasure comes easy and consequences hit hard. What started as survival is starting to feel like something else. Something dangerously close to love.
It was supposed to be a one time thing. But they made me crave a life I was never meant to have—with both of them.
This was supposed to be about money. Not my heart. Not my future. And definitely not them.
Cassie resides in Northern Illinois on a farm with her husband and six kids. When not writing she can be found reading or chauffeuring her kids or showing pigs. Cassie is a huge advocate for foster care and adoption. Enjoys a good horror movie, a dark romance, and alcohol. Lots and lots of alcohol. You did just read she has six kids right?
I really enjoyed this one. I liked the characters and felt like they had really good chemistry and the connection between them was fast but only bc they already had a past together.
The guys, especially Atlas, knew exactly what they wanted (which was Sloane) and weren't shy about letting her know. They messed up at some point but they learned from their mistake and are making sure she never leaves them again. They truly do treat her like she's their entire world.
Their was a lot of sweet moments and a couple of steamy scenes that kept me hooked. Overall I found the book to be sweet. They had a second chance at being happy and having everything they ever wanted. I liked how they were supportive of her and her business.
That ending was amazing. Loveeeed it sm. Also I really liked the relationship Atlas and Rep had. Not only are they father and son but they are basically best friends. I liked how them dating the same girl didn't change or affect their relationship.
Wow this book had all the ‘omg what’s going on?’ factor and I loved it! Atlas & Rip are definitely the perfect men for Sloane and I’m glad she got her dreams. This story was really good and it was perfect for this series. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
This series is just so good. This book did not disappoint. I truly loved this book so much. I can't wait to see what's next. These characters were amazing, and I loved their story.
I have really enjoyed all the books I’ve read in this shared world so far and this one didn’t disappoint. I loved Sloane she’s such a sassy & strong woman who loves her curves. I also loved Ripley & Atlas and their dynamic it was more like friends than father & son. I enjoyed their dynamic when they were all bantering back and forth and I liked seeing the connections grow deeper for each other. Brilliant read.
Wow this book had all the ‘omg what’s going on?’ factor and I loved it! Atlas & Rip are definitely the perfect men for Sloane and I’m glad she got her dreams. This story was really good and it was perfect for this series. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
I really enjoyed this story and let me tell you from the start, it was not at all what I expected. I always love these worlds where multiple stories are built out of one night and this one in no exception to that love. Sloane was such a strong character to read- she was the epitome of someone who had had everything in life working against her for so long that when the chance to take the reins so to speak and finally gain some control back over what she wanted, she took it in the form of this auction. Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine that she would run into and be purchased by the two people in her past she wanted to stay with in her teen years. Will she be able to put those hurt feelings aside to finally be able to reconnect with her old crush and the crush she refused to acknowledge? Rip and Atlas were fun MMC’s to read as well. Rip certainly has some anger issues and hurt feelings to work through when it comes to seeing Sloane again, despite the fact that she didn’t cause any of those in the first place. I loved how right from the beginning, Atlas knew he wanted Sloane and never waivered from that, even when he couldn’t find her for 7 years. All of those withheld emotions and feelings do come to the surface when he sees her and lead to not only some really fantastic chemistry but misunderstandings that break your heart for all of our MC’s. Rip was certainly more guarded (and who can blame him) and extremely reluctant to accept let alone acknowledge his feelings for his former stepdaughter, Sloane. I think his path to realizing his love for her was probably the best in the entire book. While you know right from the beginning that Sloane and Atlas have feelings for each other and have for 7 years, Rip has buried and ignored his and certainly has a difficult time separating Sloane from her mother Ali. You really get to feel all of his past pain during certain interactions with Sloane and I think it makes for a better foundation when he does finally admit what he wants. I also really loved the substory within this love story between Sloane, Rip and Atlas. Sloane using the money from the auction to follow her dreams was certainly really fun to read and I was not expecting certain people to be so evil and menacing towards her. I think the very end of the book really threw me for a loop in terms of what the heck moments and I loved every second of it. This series is fantastic! Only two books have come out thus far but they have been from start to finish griping and engaging. I love how the world weaves itself together with all of the stories and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book!
Another great book in the A Night to Remember Auction shared world. What I loved about this book is there was so much emotional depth, so much history between the main characters that I just wanted to keep reading to find out if their happily ever after would happen.
Sloane, aka Birdie, hasn't had the greatest life experiences when we pick up with this story. All she wants to do at this point is purchase her grandmother's house - the only place she feels she belongs - after the bank forecloses on it thanks to her mother's inability to look after it. She is strong, independent, feisty, and knows how to look after herself, seeing as the only person who ever did that for her - her grandmother - is no longer around. On the promise of a good payout, she signs up for the Auction, where an unexpected blast from the past awaits.
Ripley. Ex-husband to Sloane's mother, and best friend to his son, Atlas. Rip also doesn't have the best of histories - having Atlas at a young age with his then-girlfriend, losing said girlfriend in an awful accident and being sole caregiver to young Atlas. But against all odds, he made it, raised Atlas to be a great young man, and has a good business with him to boot.
Atlas, Rip's son (and Sloane's ex-stepbrother) who's been in love with Sloane since they lived together for a short period of time, before issues with Ali, Sloane's mother, leaves them without contact for many years, despite Atlas' best efforts to track down his wayward ex-stepsister. He signs him and his dad up as buyers for the Auction, and they purchase Sloane when it dawns on them who she is.
The whirlwind of the weekend - and the following weeks - begin. It's filled with so much emotion - pining, anger, forgiveness, and some very yummy spice - as the three navigate this strange new relationship they all find themselves in. Throw in the plot twist and holy smokes, I could not put this book down.
This is an MFM romance where Rip and Atlas (father and son) share Sloane - so keep that in mind before reading, as I know that's not everyone's cup of tea.
Another fantastic read from Lein. Thank you to the author and the A Night To Remember Auction team for the eARC opportunity.
From the start, Cassie tugs on your heartstrings, and will have you wanting to give Sloane, our FMC, the biggest hug possible. Then again, our 2 MMCs, Atlas & his dad Ripley, intrigued me too. From the moment we see them, it’s obvious that they’re more than just father & son…they’re best friends, probably a byproduct of Ripley being a teenage single dad & basically growing up with his son. At the base of this story, we have 3 people who find themselves pulled back into each other’s lives due to an auction that ends up changing their future in more ways than they had ever anticipated. I loved Atlas’s steadfast determination & dedication to finding Sloane, and then making her his girl, no matter what obstacles stood in their way. Then with Ripley, I just loved his steady strength, not to mention his dominant vibes in the bedroom, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t still feel like smacking him upside the head when he was a wishy washy alphahole in the beginning 👿 I kind of get it though, because demons, whether real or mental, in the past tend to be some of the hardest to battle sometimes, and he, Atlas & Sloane all had experience with that in one way or another. Within these pages you’ll find a wonderful story that’ll be right up your alley if you love MFM, second chance, age gap, daddy kink, step-brother, & step-dad tropes. Then to top it all off, there’s danger that leads to an intense & emotionally charged ending that I honestly didn’t see coming…just the kind I like 😝👏🏻 I also may have shed a tear or two during the last chapter…you know what you did Atlas, & you too Ripley 👀🥹❤️ And can I just say, after reading about him in these 1st 2 books, I’m loving Edward’s character. I’m not gonna lie. I’m kind of hoping he ends up with someone in one of these books 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 I’m really loving this shared world so far, and can’t wait for the next one 👏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻
The Night to Remember Auction Series, where your inhibitions go out the window, for one night you stand on a stage baring your soul for someone in the audience to purchase you for the right price. Unknown until you meet them after the auction then it’s a weekend of fun and a return to normality on Sunday. For you, you walk away with an unforgettable weekend and a well-deserved payout.
Book 2 is by Cassie Lein and if you have read her books then you know how this girl writes, and let me tell you she did not disappoint in this story one bit.
Sloan an independent woman, who has learnt to not rely on anyone but herself, and works as a bartender. She sees her childhood home is up for sale, the home that belonged to her grandmother and holds so many memories for her the good ones, but how can she purchase this property with her current salary. Then an offer is made, one that she really can’t turn down, all she has to do is show up and be auctioned for a weekend of fun.
Our main men in this story are Atlas and Ripley, father and son, however these two not only work together and live together they are more like friends. Ripley has spent years yearning and searching for the one that got away his Sloan, at that time his step-sister. Ripley signs Atlas up for the Auction and goes as his plus one, little did these two know that a blast from their past would be standing up on that stage, baring her soul for a price.
Will Ripley get his hea with Sloan, how will Atlas fit into this weekend of fun as he is one who purchased Atlas. Can these three me more and get over the past.
This is a quick read, as Cassie grips you from the start with her writing as she pulls you in, and gives us a story that you honestly do not want to put down. This book has it all the emotion of reconnection, innocence, father son dynamic, anger and so much more. Great addition to the series and I cannot wait for more.
This is a quick and spicy romance that although is part of a bigger universe, can be read as a standalone. It is fast burn and as this story is about reconnecting it works well as Slone crosses paths with two of the only people who she thought she could count on years after thinking they had abandoned her.
Atlas has been looking for Sloane for seven years and has been in love with her since day one. Rip can't believe that this is the same girl he was step-father to and has to come to terms with his feelings; I struggled with Rip a little as he was so quick to compare Sloane to Ali more than once and I felt he really should have had to put in the effort to win her back but he won me over by the end. Atlas was my favourite as his humour was great and I loved how he devoted he was to Sloane. I did laugh at home Rip's internal monologues in the sharing scenes though.
There are some other subplots outwith the romance relating to Sloane's career and her relationship with her mother. I would have loved a little more with Ali as she has had such an influence on how Sloane has lived her life; there is some closure for Sloane but I would loved to have seen Ali's reaction to Sloane having everything she threw away. However the drama and action in the last few chapters was a plot I didn't see coming and I really enjoyed that twist.
My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
My Soul For Sale: A Night To Remember Auction by Cassie Lien is a taboo romance. Sloane has struggled her whole life due to her mom's drug addiction. However her mom losing her grandmother's house that was the one stable thing in her life is too much. So when faced with an option to make money to save the house she jumps on it. When she agrees t4tho see one weekend with herself what she doesn't expect is to be bought by her step-dad Ridley and stepbrother Atlas. When the weekend is over Atlas is destroyed by her decision to leave amd Ridley lashes out. Will all.of them be able to move beyond the past and find a way to make things work or are some things best left in the past? I LOVED this story. Sloane is an amazing character. She has no shame in doing what she needs to do to get what she wants. She is strong and doesn't take shit from Atlas or Ridley. She is comfortable with her curves and weight. In general she is a boss. Atlas is obsessed and I love how he sticks up for her. Ridley is a bit of an ass but that changes as Sloane and Atlas make him see what could be possible. This is definitely a fast-burn with plenty of spice. I loved watching Sloane come into her own as she finally sees the life she wants is possible. If you enjoy taboo romance with found family, second chances, why choose, body positivity, and lots of steam then you'll love My Soul For Sale. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the A Night To Remember Auction series of standalones.
Oh man. This is a spicy taboo read and oh so good. I really enjoyed it. This book is about Sloan who has had a rough childhood with an addict for a mom. When she sees her late grandmother's home is owned by the bank now because her mother didn't make payments, she wants it because was a place she felt safe from her mom. Problem? She doesn't have the money for it.
When a man walks into tje bar she works at and invites her to a club where they have auctions for people to have a wild weekend with who they bought, she considers it since get a lot of money for it and she can buy the house.
Ripley is Atlas's dad and was once married to Sloan's mom but that went bad quick. Atlas has been searching for his step-sister for awhile because had feelings for her and couldn't stop how he felt but neither could find her. They get encountered by a man inviting them to an auction.
Sloan, who has lived with people commenting on her weight, enters the auction hesitantly. What she didn't expect were the two men who were tjere. Sparks fly between the three of them. Such an amazing fast paced read. Will the three of them be able to enter into a taboo relationship and stay together? Need to read to find out. Lots happen, even has the nasty mean girls. Thank you Cassie for writing this. The above is my honest review of this book.
This book is the second in the Night to Remember Auction series. My Soul for Sale is by Cassie Lein. This was a great addition to this world and series. This book was such a great read. I couldn’t put it down. It was a very easy enjoyable read, that I finished in less than a day.
Sloane is the female main character. She is very independent and trying to just live her life. When she sees her grandmothers home, her once constant stable home in her life, but for sale due to foreclosure she knows in her soul she needs to buy it. But she knows that’s going to be hard on a bartenders wages. So this is what drives her to sell herself in the auction when the opportunity is dropped into her lap.
Enter Ripley and Atlas. This father son duo who are more best friends than father and son. They are a blast from Sloane’s past. They see her at the auction and Atlas immediately knows he needs to buy her. This is his long lost love right in front of him. He knows now that he’s found her he’s not letting her go again. Rip is struggling with his feeling for Sloane. This story shows how they reconnect and go from there.
This story is mfm. It is super spicy, steamy, and hot. It’s happily ever after, and has suspense, danger, lust, romance, and some violence in it.
If you enjoy a story that has characters with good chemistry and connect really well, then this story is for you.
Sloane never thought she’d find love, not until she found it with Atlas and Rip. The knew exactly what they wanted and they were not afraid to tell her so.
Somewhere along the way they both messed up, but they were quick to learn from their mistakes, and in doing so they both made sure, moving forward, vowing that she would never leave them again. Because Sloane is their entire world and treat her like the queen that she is.
There story is filled with a lot of sweet moments that will have you swooning, and steamy scenes that will have you fanning yourself in all the right ways. There’s nothing like a second chance at love and happiness and getting everything that the heart desires. Because being a unit means being honest, communication and supporting one another.
What surprised me the most was the father and son relationship that Atlas and Rip had with each other, they were basically the best of friends, that when it came to dating the same girl they respected each others boundaries solidifying their relationship more.
Highly recommend both the author and the book.
I received an ARC. Therefore I am submitting a voluntary review.
OMG this book!!! For some reason I have yet to figure out, the step-sibling romance trope has never been one of my favorites. In fact I typically avoid it, only reading very few of them. But this is Cassie Lein we are talking about so, there was no way I was going to pass it up and I am so glad I read it. It took me by surprise, and I ate it up in one night!!! Sloan is my freaking hero and I love her. She knows what she wants and what she needs and doesn't care what other people think, she's gonna do what she needs to do regardless. Atlas is just the perfect cinnamon roll of a man, being step-siblings for a very short time but being in love with Sloan since day one, looking for her when they were apart and doing everything in his power to keep her once they reunited. I just want to hug him. But Daddy Ripley??? *sigh* He's the perfect alpha-hole and I need more. Now, put those two men together and it's just explosive. The plot was great, the steam was perfection, the banter, the romance, the sweetness, the determination and the suspense at the end... If I could give it more than 5 stars, I'd give it more! Just AMAZING!
This book was the first one I've read with dad and son both being the love interest, and I was not disappointed. This was very fast past and the spicy scenes were fire. It was a nice quick read and had me hooked from the beginning, totally binge worthy.
In this book we follow Sloane trying to save enough money to be able to buy the house she grew up in, with only one option which is auctioning herself for a whole weekend to strangers. Not sure has to decided whether $500,000 is worth it. But what she doesn’t know is that her past stepdad and stepbrother are going to be guest of the auction. Now the question is whether they be going home together.
I got to say Ridley was a bit of an asshole in the beginning, like dam it’s been a while she together seen and you’re going to be acting like that. He’s lucky Sloane forgave him and liked him so much.
Atlas my man I’m glad you finally got your girl back. Although the stuff he told her when they had that misunderstanding definitely deserved a slap. But beings that I’m glad to see them getting a HEA!!
If your looking for a fast paced spicy taboo book then this a definitely the book for you. You won’t regret giving it a chance, also this is the second booth in the universe written by different authors.
My Soul For Sale is part of the A Night To Remember Auction series and is written by Cassie Lein. Each book can be read as stand alone books and are written by different authors.
💜 struggling FMC 💜 father and son 💜 auction 💜 forced proximity 💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spice
Sloane can’t believe it. She’s sitting outside in her car looking at her grandma’s house and there’s a for sale sign sitting out front. After a quick phone call to the real estate agent, she finds out the listed price. There’s no way she could come up with that money, especially with her working at the bar. But, one night a man gives her a card for an auction that could solve her money issues. All it would cost her is one weekend of spicy fun. Could she do it? Could she participate in this auction? Would they even want her to participate?
This was a fun installment in this series. Sloane’s story was so good. It shows how it doesn’t matter who your parents were, you don’t have to follow in their footsteps. And if you find someone who you love, you should fight for them. I had fun reading this and was pulled into the storyline. I can’t wait to see what the next story will be about.
Well I think it’s safe to say that Cassie turned the thermometer up to max for this instalment of a night to remember auctions!
I quite simply could not put this down. Sloane was my optimum FMC. She had the world working against her but never steered away from achieving her goals doing just about anything to accomplish them, even agreeing to enter a spicy auction. What she didn’t see coming is the big blast from the past in the form of Rip and daddy Atlas. Whilst he certainly had some anger issues, I couldn’t help but feel sorry for Rip, pining after Sloane for all those years believing she simply forgot about him when this wasn’t the case at all. Daddy Atlas was so kind making sure the two got reunited but when he gave in and we had the kitchen scene (IYKYK) I was SCREAMING! Seriously hot stuff.
While there was a bit of miscommunication I felt it was necessary for the character development as otherwise the conclusion would have been unrealistic. Show me a good bit of grovel and I’m hooked. Loved all of these characters and glad they got their HEA
My Soul For Sale is part of the multi author series A Night To Remember Auction.
I really loved how dedicated Atlas was to finding Sloane and being with her. He's been in love with her so long that when he finally gets the chance to be with her, he doesn't want to let her go. Ripley bothered me at times with some of the comments he made towards Sloane. He was cruel when it was really unnecessary. Both just needed to ask more questions instead of assuming specific things. This would've definitely helped them after the weekend, but they were both stubborn men when they thought they weren't getting their way.
Sloane was an extremely positive and hard worker. Even though people are cruel to her at times, she tries her best to get through the hurtful comments and actions and move forward with her life. She really has had to struggle for a lot of her life to become who she is. I was proud of everything she went through to become this dominant force. She really fights for what she wants and comes out on top.
My Soul for Sale is the 2nd book in the A Night To Remember Auction series. Each book in this series is written by different authors and can be read as standalones however I highly suggest you read them in order as there may be mentions or cameos of characters from previous books. This story does touch on some topics that may be sensitive so please check the content warning before reading. My Soul for Sale is Sloane’s story. Desperate to keep a piece of her past, Sloane finds herself agreeing to participate in a once in a lifetime opportunity. What she doesn’t expect is to come face to face with Atlas and Ripley, people from her past that she thought threw her away. Take a ride with Sloane, Atlas and Ripley and they take you through highs, lows, laughs, heartache, love and lots of spice. I love the fact that Sloane is a plus size beautiful curvy woman. Fantastic addition to the series and I can’t wait for the next one to come out!!!
This was such a great read by a new-to-me author. I have to say the blurb drew me in but the writing kept me fully engaged ;) Sloane desperately needs money to buy her Gma's home and the auction is the best way forward for her. She definitely feels the angst of such a decision but the ends justify the means...right? ;) When father and son, Rip and Atlas, end up at the auction, not intending anything other than a night out, they're blown away by seeing her on stage. These three have a past that ended badly but the chemistry and connection were obvious and strong. I loved seeing how they'd work out the dynamics of this forbidden romance and especially love the sarcastic thoughts that Ripley had. The author did a fab job dealing with the angst but she also brought in danger, drama and so much heat to keep things hopping. Overall, I loved this story and have to say I closed it with a big smile on my face. So fun and I look forward to checking out other books by this author :D
I'm a new reader, as this is the first book I've read of Cassie's, and though it isn't my typical read, I absolutely loved it!
I don't usually read books with age gap or step-parent/step-brother tropes, but that's not to say I don't read them at all. There are a small list of authors whose books I love, and will read age gap or taboo from, and Cassie totally joined the list with this one.
I LOVED Atlas. I could have read a whole book with JUST Atlas! Ripley was a fun addition, and I really liked how genuine the characters felt. They had depth, dimension, and their motivations were spot on, even if the premise was something as dangerous as a secret auction.
I know several other authors writing in this world, and can't wait to see their books as well! It's an interesting premise and should be interesting to see the other stories.
If you're looking for something spicy, with a dash of sweet, and very forbidden, this book is probably for you!
Another great book by Cassie. This is part of series by different authors. This one featured Sloane. Sloane was working at her job as a bartender. A customer over heard her saying she needed money. So he gave her a business card for club lust. She looked it up when she got home that night. She applied for the position and was accepted. Sloane was living on her own after her mother left town. In high school Sloane was living with her moms and her husband Ripley. He also had a son Atlas who was Sloanes age. Turns out they liked each other back then and all of a sudden her and her mom left and she felt abandoned by the guys. She thought they didn’t care about her and that is why she never heard from them again. Well one day that all changed. A lot happened throughout the book. I highly recommend it.
The second book in the A Night to Remember Auction shared world series is My Soul for Sale by Cassie Lein. I love Cassie's writing and this book didn't disappoint. Sloane has had a hard upbringing, with a good-for-nothing mother that ripped her away from the only stable family she's ever known. Desperate to keep a connection to one of the only good things from her past, Sloane decides to apply for the auction. Except instead of being bought by strangers, her purchasers are blasts from the past! I loved this connection between the characters and how they were brought together again. I loved Sloane's determination to get what she wants at any cost and Atlas' determination to do whatever it takes to get Sloane. I loved Ripley and how he had to overcome his own hangups to get what he wanted. I loved it all.
My Soul For Sale is the second book in the A Night to Remember Auction series. Cassie Lein paints a picture of a young, strong woman who has her life well under control despite the adverse circumstances of her childhood. Suddenly, Sloane finds herself in a situation where she needs a lot of money. For this reason she enters the auction "A Night to Remember".
Enter Ripley and Atlas. Rip is the ex-husband of Sloane's drug-addicted mother. He became a father at the age of 15 and raised Atlas alone. It was a blow for both of them when they had to give up Sloane. For Atlas, she is still the woman of his dreams.
When the three meet again at the auction, sparks fly. What follows is a lively, spicy story with exciting twists and turns.
I really enjoyed the book and will definitely read the next book in the series.
When Sloane sees the for sale sign on the house she grew up in, she knows she needs to take drastic action to make it hers. When a newcomer to the bar she works at hands her a business card about the a night to remember auction, she's skeptical. But as she thinks it over she applies and of course is accepted. What she didn't expect was a blast from the past in the form of her ex step father and brother. Atlas and rip have a closer than normal relationship for father and son. Atlas has been looking for Sloane for the last 7 years and when they see her at the auction they know it's meant to be. Holy heck was this spicy and so so hot. Of course there's a twist at the end and the tension is heavy, but wow was this a wild ride of a book. I'm loving this shared world and can't wait for what comes next.
Cassie knows how to do an amazing, fun & V spícy t@boo romance. In this book we have Sloan, who didn’t have an easy upbringing, her mother was an addǐct and even though she had a stable home for a short period. It didn’t last. Years later, Sloan is simply driving on a block and sees her late grandmas house with a for sale sign.
Working as a bartender she doesn’t make enough to buy the house to keep it in the family. She always felt safe & cared for in that house so losing it really isn’t an option. Luck or fate is on her side when a strange man walks in and says he can help her…
This man also runs across two men from Sloan’s past. Would luck have it that they cross paths? And reconnect? There’s a way for Sloan to obtain the money she so desperately wants to save her grandmothers house, but at what cost?
Find out if it’s all worth it in this book! You won’t be disappointed!
Let me start by saying I adore Cassie's writing. This wasn'tmy first read by her, and it won't be my last. I've been lucky enough to be a part of the ARC team for the "a night to remember auction" series thus far, and man, ya'll this series is AMAZING.
We meet our relatable FMC Sloane whom is a bartender and needs some financial help. [ don't we all!? ] Her childhood wasn't easy; she had a ... less than great mother. One day, she drives by her late Grandma's house and sees a for sale sign. The house holds some memories for her that she doesn't want to lose, but doesn't have enough money. Enter the auction, and soon enoough, our male MCs Atlas and Ripley. From here, we get some fabulous spice.
Overall, a shorter read with spicy scenes, MFM content, and some taboo areas. READ IT.
I didn’t know how much I loved an auction until this series! But I knew I love step-siblings and a bigger FMC. Cassie Lein is a fave of mine; I love her writing style and the emotion she’s able to bring to the story. This was no exception. And when we can shift from intense conversations about their relationship to super steamy moments, I’m a happy reader! And Sloane, Atlas and Ripley definitely bring the heat 🥵 I think Sloane might be one of my new favorite FMCs. She’s strong, does what she needs to do, has a vision for her future and (eventually) learns when she needs to lean on others. And based on her description and that cover, she’s hot AF. Definitely recommend this one and the whole series (which is only 2 books so far but they are both really good)! I did receive an ARC for this book but this is my honest opinion.
Sloane, the girl who always deals with everything thrown at her because she has no other choice. When a customer gives her a card that can change the course of her life in just one weekend, can it actually be true. Auction herself for the weekend and get $500,000.00. Simple. She’s strong, independent and needs this damn money.
Atlas has been in love with his stepsister from day one. When his father got divorced and Sloane moved away, he was crushed. He’s been searching for her for years. Needing her back. She’s it for him, no one else.
Rip struggles with his attraction to her because he knows just how much Sloane means to Atlas. He tried to push her away, but can’t deny the feelings that are developing. He’s convinced himself he doesn’t want a relationship, but when Sloane comes back into his life, he feels it’s possible.
Sloane and Atlas love to yank Rips chain. The banter is fantastic. They are so funny when they pick on Rip and get him all riled up.
This is HOT, HOT, HOT! I loved how quickly Atlas just went start to we’re in a relationship and dropping the L word. Rip gives Sloane a the harshness to balance out Atlas.
