After a decade of trying numerous anti-inflammatory medications with little to no improvement, it was obvious that I needed to approach my medical issues from a different angle. Doctors Elamir and Grist explain the body processes that cause inflammation better than my long-term Rheumatologist, and do so in a way that is simple to understand and implement their knowledge in my everyday life. My favorite part of the book is the amazing recipe book. When you read the word “diet” you may automatically associate it with deprivation, and that is not the case with the recipes in this book. I am pleased that the recipes are notated to assist with following specific diets—vegan-friendly, vegetarian-friendly, gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and nut-free. Considering these different food restrictions, I was still able to partake of the delicious food while also sticking to an eating plan that my other doctor had prescribed.

As a nurse I understand the effects of chronic inflammation, which is why I wanted to explore ways to prevent it with the foods I eat. As with most diets, I admit, I expected disappointing foods. This book completely proved me wrong.

Very informative resource. I love a diet book that gives meal suggestions and a weekly plan to implement the diet. Love the list breakdown of safe foods because I am a very picky eater and can never implement the suggested meal plans despite how yummy they look I just know I can't manage the ingredients. The list breakdown also allows for lower income families to implement the diet change at a lower cost to them as different areas/incomes can greatly affect access to the produce and ingredients often suggested. Love this book for me.
This book is well written and easy to understand. It informs you what inflammation is and how it is both good and bad. Then it teaches you to boost your immunity and optimize your gut health with tons of recipes. The recipes are from breakfast to special occasion and everywhere in between. I recommend the book to anyone who wants to learn how to correct inflammation and be a healthier petson.
I have been reading a lot of these kinds of books recently to find a good diet to follow, and this one I'd the best book I have come across thus far. The recipes are very easy to follow, and they are delicious! This book also thoroughly explains the benefits of the diet. It's amazing what inflammation can cause in your body! Not only does this book go into detail why an anti-inflammatory diet will benefit you at any age it goes into details with a meal plan and recipes. The recipes have pictures which I love so then you know what your food should look like. By simple adjusting your diet it can make an impact on your body quickly.
