The annual holiday office party is the one occasion my silver fox boss isn’t his rigid, uptight self—not to mention completely liberated of a sense of humor. Through no fault of my own, I end up half-naked and embarrassingly drunk on candy cane Jell-O shots. I plant my sweet rear on his lap, call him Daddy Christmas, tell him I’ve been a good boy, and ask for a very specific gift.

I'm often stoically silent or, if the topic interests me, a chronic rambler. In other words, I can discuss writing forever and ever. Fiction, in particular. The love story—while a huge draw and constantly present—is secondary for me, because there's so much more to writing romance fiction than just making two (or more) people fall in love and have hot sex. There's a world to build, characters to develop, interests to create, and a topic or two to research thoroughly. Every book is a challenge for me, an opportunity to learn something new, and a puzzle to piece together. I want my characters to come to life, and the only way I know to do that is to give them substance—passions, history, goals, quirks, and strong opinions—and to let them evolve. Additionally, I want my men and women to be relatable. That means allowing room for everyday problems and, for lack of a better word, flaws. My characters will never be perfect.

Wait…this was supposed to be about me, not my writing.

I'm a writey person who loves to write. Always wanderlusting, twitterpating, kinking, and geeking. There's time for hockey and cupcakes, too. But mostly, I just love to write.

All the fluff and then some from Cara in this delightful extended novella in which goofball graphic designer Parker finds his Daddy Christmas in older man and corporate big boss Wyatt.

It's relatively light on the kink though, but it has lots of super sweet moments when Parker brats his way into boy mode and his Daddy rewards him for being good.

There's a couple of Easter Eggs which I'll leave for readers to discover themselves, and absolutely zero angst, so if you're after a bit of a stocking filler, feel good romance, this is your book!

*・☆゚Cute, warm and sexy Daddy/boy boss/employee holiday romance. Unfortunately not on KU.

“I’ve distanced myself from everything and everyone. I became moody and cynical.”

“Then one day, a boy rambled about doing cartwheels on my Persian rug,”
“He just wouldn’t shut up.”
“He told me I deserved a lump of coal from Santa,”
“And that I was a grinch. Then he asked if we should carpool the next day, and he gave me snickerdoodles.”

Daddy Christmas by Cara Dee, is sure to get you in the holiday spirit. This standalone is so fast paced and has the most perfect HEA.

MM Romance
Bratty
Age Gaps
Silver Fox
Daddy Kink
Work Romance
Holiday Romance
Grumpy/Sunshine
Strict Top/Bottom Roles

This MM Christmas romance had me laughing, Parker is the absolute best. I loved his endearing personality, the way he handles and carries himself. He is so bratty but owns it.

The way these two meet was hilarious and mildly offensive if you ask Parker. 🤣 Who knew snickerdoodles and a bubbly/bratty attitude were the answer.

Wyatt Abrams aka Daddy Christmas, is Parker’s boss. He is grumpy and sort of standoffish. When his company host the Christmas party for the employees, Wyatt dresses as Santa. Parker who is mostly naked thanks to a dare from a coworker, gets drunk and ends up in his lap to give Santa his “Christmas wish”.

Parker changed Wyatt’s grumpy outlook on life, by being himself. He literally has no filter and I adored the dynamic and connection between these two. They were so perfectly fit for each other. I love how the relationship developed. I appreciated the dating and that they didn’t just jump right into bed. I loved that they got to know each other and put some work into building their relationship.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved the spicy scenes and steamy moments. These two do not have a shortage of chemistry. 🥵

Their daddy/boy dynamic was not overwhelming, but the perfect amount. To me, it was on the lighter side and I really enjoyed that.

I loved all the tender moments and how each of the guys grew and changed in the span of the books.

Thank you Booksprouts for letting me read this ARC, this is my honest opinion.

So sweet <3

Il me faisait trop rire !

Oh, the sweetness. Oh, the feelz. Oh, the sexy bedroom antics.
This is a super cute, low angst, Christmas read with the perfect amount of dirty.

Parker is the sunshine to Wyatt’s grumpy. When Parker accidentally delivers presents to the wrong Mr Abrams, Wyatt’s world gets turned upside down.

There’s no coy will they won’t they here. All it takes is one drunken, semi-nekkid Xmas party these two are all in. I loved it and hope we get to see more of these two.

And the crossover to The Game series with Cam, Noa, KC and Lucien is a cute gift to fans.

Definitely something to read every year.

(4.5/5) I know, I know. It's long after Christmas, but who cares. Not me, anyway.

I loved how naturally fast this romance developed. It was almost insta-ish, but not quite, and although the feelings in their relationship came up quite quickly, it felt so natural to me. I really, really liked that. There are too many insta love stories that don't make sense and don't work for the plot at all. That wasn't the case with Parker and Wyatt.

Honestly, I just really loved this book.

ALL THE STARS!!

My heart, the endearments, I wanted to cry with all the fluffiness, it was the best of the best.

An uptight grumpy rich businessman (read: Daddy), and a twenty years younger graphic designer, brat of an employee (read: boy)
Watch how Parker melted his boss’ heart, and an ongoing stream full of sweetness, warmth, joy, and sexiness presented itself to the surface. Goosebumps I got, and so much warming love, I wanted to bathe in it. Some books you don’t want to end.

Go sit on your most comfortable couch, pull up a blanket, make some hot chocolate with whipped cream, and enjoy this super read by one of my favorite authors.
Merry Christmas to Parker and Wyatt and all of you 🎄

Such a smooth storyline -  I really enjoyed how this story flowed.

My very first Cara Dee book and I certainly liked the writing style.

This was an utter delight.

Light on everything and the perfect read for Christmas.

Wonderfully fleshed out characters, delightful humour and I really liked that the daddy kink wasn’t overdone

If you’re into Christmas reads, then you definitely don’t want to miss this one.

Way too long. It was sweet and all, but pick a lane daddy/boy thing novella or “relationship daddy/boy”, cause when you write a novella your readers expect fast delivery… this was inbetween. I wanted more heat, more tender moments between the two mc's but that didn't happen. There was bunch of things they were experiencing as a couple, but it was kinda like "they went there, and this happand there, then they ..." etc

Parker is a complete hoot and I loved the cameos from other Cara Dee characters! "Daddy Christmas" is a perfect title for Wyatt Abrams - and the way he comes out of his shell for his Brat melted my heart for sure. I liked the way the story followed day by day through their first December and gave all the holiday vibes. This is a couple I would love to read more about.

Rating: 5
Steam: 3
PoV: single, 1st person
Genre: contemporary romance, MM
Main tropes: age gap, Daddy kink, holiday

Daddy Christmas had me giggling and swooning - it was such a fun story and charming story!

Cara Dee writes the best brats, and I couldn’t help but to adore Parker and his shenanigans. Parker was unapologetically himself, and he just couldn’t resist pushing the buttons of his boss’s boss / future Daddy. I loved him from the first chapter and I really enjoyed his PoV, his brattiness and goofiness came through strongly in his thoughts and inner monologues.

Wyatt was a total grump initially, but it was easy to see how smitten he was with Parker. These two were tooth achingly sweet and completely gone for each other - seriously, I’m talking all the swoon and literal heart eyes! The steam was great, and there was some excellent and filthy dirty talk as well, something I really didn’t expect from Wyatt!

Things developed pretty fast between Parker and Wyatt, and the whole story only took place during December, making it a bit of a whirlwind romance. Despite that and the story being relatively short, I still felt like Cara Dee managed to flesh out the feelings and relationship, and there was nothing I felt was missing or rushed.

Daddy Christmas was overall a fantastic story with amazing characters. It had a lot of tropes that I love, and the humour together with the low angst made it a perfect holiday read. If you love sweet stories with an adorable, bratty boy and a sweet, loving Daddy, this is a must read!

I thought I'd finish out 2023 with a totally feel good story. I do prefer having some angst in there, though. And relationship development. This story had neither, but hey, it's a fluffy-feelgood Christmas story. I guess it would go outside the bounds of Christmas story rules to make us hurt a little lol.

Daddy Christmas was enjoyable with only a little bit that made me cringe a smidge (). Also glad that in my 23 years in corporate America, I never ever ever had to address anyone in the management chain, or even our clients, by their last name. Way too formal for me.

All in all, Daddy Christmas did make me smile and it was just as fluffy-feelgood as I had hoped.

This was adorably sweet. Parker had all the mischievousness of Cara Dee brats that we’ve come to know and love. Wyatt was a filthy talking Daddy who just needed a boy to help him let his guard down.

This was a great holiday read and an even better Daddy/Boy one. I will always have a soft spot Daddies and their Boys and this one was just great.

I didn’t even mind the cameos from other Cara books. It was a sweet glimpse into this whole universe and I was here for it. What a wonderful little read.

No angst, fluffy & sweet! Not my usual type, but I loved the sugar daddy/boy dynamic. Thankfully no age play, which usually squicks me out, but Parker is kind of silly and likes childish things like sweets and stuffies. I thought all the details about Parker’s job as a graphic designer were super interesting and I loved reading about their travels and restaurant outings. Very fun, cute little novella 💕

This was SO GOOD. Like, restored my faith in reading good. Ugh I loved it. Will definitely be going back to this over and over. It was soooo close to 5 stars but I didn’t love the epilogue as much. And the proposal was so weird. So I’m kind of huffy that it didn’t stick the landing as much as I would have liked, but still the rest of the book was really really great.

Novellas aren't usually my thing, but anything written by Cara Dee IS so I scooped this book up the second I could. Plus, Christmas.

This story is about Parker (a little) and Wyatt (a Daddy). It's got age gap, office romance, and some sunshine/grump going on. Three of my favorite tropes, hands down. And it's very low angst which is just perfect for a Christmas stoey.

Despite dealing with a grumpy (but sexy) Wyatt at work a few times that week, Parker shoots his drunken shot at the company holiday party. He might regret his words the next morning, but thankfully Wyatt doesn't! Parker and Wyatt have a whirlwind romance through the month of December that includes meeting family, a European work trip, and toooooons of sugar. And it's Cara so we know there's some spice mixed in there as well. ☺️

My hangup with novellas is typically that they are too short to really get to the meat of a story. I usually feel unsatisfied and want MORE. But Cara did a great job of making Parker and Wyatt feel real, made their fast-paced romance feel authentic, and kept it cute and sweet all the way through. We even got some Game Series cameos which I always love!

Overall, a very cute holiday read.

This was such a cute holiday read with some really lovely characters and Daddy kink in smaller doses. Cara Dee does Daddy kink so well and this one was no different albeit it was lighter in the dynamic than most she has written. But no less steamy and for that I am forever happy! Parker is our boy and is quite adorable while Wyatt his Daddy is so good to him. This is an office romance, insta lust, age gap, Daddy/boy Christmas romance that will have you smiling throughout.

I simply adored our sweet, outgoing, talkative, and energetic Christmas loving Parker. He said what he felt and did what he wanted and was unapologetically him. He also never backed down from a dare and had a very not so secret crush on the boss, Mr. Abrams, our Wyatt. He was just a breath of fresh air and Wyatt was his perfect match. And when Wyatt was all dressed up like his Christmas Daddy dreams come to life at their holiday party, he did not let the opportunity to sit on Santas lap pass him by. Wyatt is our sexy silver fox boss man who maybe has been serious and at times grumpy but also had a heart of gold. He is a great boss but keeps to himself and does not particularly care for the holidays. He tried love once and never again. Until he is swept up in all things Parker. He could not resist this ball of energy with the perfect smile, and it was so sweet to see him be a softer version of himself to his boy.

The heat level was good and actually a bit higher than I anticipated which you're not ever going to hear me complain about. I really enjoyed their sweet and tender moments that came with it the heat. All the Daddy moments were sexy AF and their love shined through the pages so easily. I completely fell for this couple and their holiday romance story. I would recommend to anyone who loves Cara, Daddy's who adore and spoil their sweet but bratty boys, beautiful destinations that sweep you off your feet, and all the good feels for the holidays!

Daddy Christmas is a standalone holiday romance that effortlessly weaves together age gaps, a touch of comedy, and a hint of Daddykink. This festive tale introduces us to Parker, a bratty and endearing graphic designer, and Wyatt Abrams, his grumpy silver fox boss with a secret Santa side.

The story kicks off at the annual office Christmas party, where Wyatt temporarily sheds his uptight demeanor for his birthday suit. The humorous encounter between Parker and Wyatt sets the stage for a heartwarming and unconventional romance. As Parker's bratty charm breaks down Wyatt's grumpy exterior, the two embark on a journey filled with sweetness, joy, and just the right amount of spice.

The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and the development of their relationship is both charming and delightful. What sets this holiday romance apart is the perfect balance between tender moments and steamy scenes, with a Daddy/boy dynamic that adds just the right touch without overwhelming the narrative.

Cara Dee skillfully crafts a fast-paced narrative that keeps the reader engaged, making it an ideal choice for those looking for a low-angst Christmas read. The characters' growth and the genuine connection between Parker and Wyatt contribute to a satisfying happily-ever-after that will leave readers with a warm, fuzzy feeling.

This novella is a quick and enjoyable read, featuring cameos from The Game series and We have till Monday that add an extra layer of delight for fans. "Daddy Christmas" is a must-read for anyone seeking a festive, funny, and heartwarming holiday romance that combines the perfect amount of dirty with the sweetest of feels.

So, grab a blanket, make some hot chocolate, and immerse yourself in the charming world of Parker and Wyatt. Cara Dee's "Daddy Christmas" is a delightful Christmas treat that you'll want to indulge in every holiday season.

Writing a review for this book is really easy.
I absolutely loved this quick read (it could also possibly be that it was quick to me because I usually gobble up Cara’s books in one go and this was so darn sweet I didn’t even feel the time pass).
We have a new cast of characters in a new standalone, Parker; a 26 year old boy and Wyatt a forty-something year old Daddy who metamorphoses from the Grinch into a, well, Daddy Christmas.
On a Company Christmas party, Parker gets drunk (not that he needs the liquid courage, it’s just Christmas!) and sits on Santa’s laps, whispering to him what he wants for Christmas that year.
What follows is a sweet story of two men falling for each other day by day. You cannot stop smiling all through the book. My cheeks hurt still from all the smiling!
You’ll also be meeting some of the beautiful men from The Game series because Parker is related to one of them 😎
This is a grenade of happiness that Cara threw into our lives at the perfect time. If you’re a mood reader, if you’re looking for a seasonally appropriate story that is quick to read and can bring you immeasurable joy, treat yourself to Daddy Christmas. Because yes! It is a treat. It’s Christmassy with lots of cookies and decorations and Daddy Santas… oops, Daddy Christmas.

Do NOT hesitate to. You know you want to read this book. You know.

I must start by saying that I love it when Cara Dee says she will write a novella or an epilogue because it always ends up being a full book and I'm here for it!

I love that Parker couldn't keep his voice down and demanded a whole novel for himself because he definitely deserves it.

As with everyone in Cara's universe Parker and Wyatt stole my heart. Parker is an upbeat guy who loves Christmas and baking cookies and Wyatt is a grumpy older man who has lost faith in his ability to love because of a failed past relationship and...loves Parker's cookies (and no, that's not a euphemism, it's Parker's actual snickerdoodles' cookies, although he does love his other sweet spots, if you know what I mean *wink wink*).

After having a bit too much to drink at the office Christmas party, Parker finds himself being taken care of by his grumpy boss, who just so happens to be exactly his type. The Daddy Dom type. What he doesn't yet know is that Wyatt is exactly that, a Daddy who never got to explore this side of himself fully and suddenly has this desire awakened inside of him because of this impulsive and charming boy.

This is a light Holiday love story, full of heart, laughter and happiness that left my own heart feeling all warm and fuzzy!

Obviously, the crossovers deserve a special mention. Parker's cousin is none other than our beloved Cam, from the Games Series, and seeing a glimpse of Cam, Noa, KC and Lucian in this story was a great surprise!

Another 5 start story by Cara Dee and I hope to see more of Parker and Wyatt in the future!

I can’t keep my title as a Cara Dee superfan if I don’t read all the things, but I’ll admit that I approached this story with mild trepidation. First because of one of the major tropes, since “forbidden” romance (in this case between people of very different statuses within an office hierarchy) often stresses me out unnecessarily. Then, once I did start reading, because Parker’s admittedly adorable personality didn’t necessarily counteract all my second-hand embarrassment at his shenanigans.

Luckily, this book is also a low-angst holiday romance. Despite his antics, Parker gets the tables turned on him fairly early in the story with deliciously swoony results. Parker already knew that Wyatt ticked all his boxes, but little did he know that the opposite was also true. Dee incorporates a subtle examination of how aspects of certain lifestyles can affect mindset into a scene that is pure spice. I joked after the author’s previous holiday release that “heart-warming filth” is my new favorite genre, and this story completely reinforces the notion.

The countdown to Christmas offers a fun way to highlight Parker’s sweet character, but this office romance could have worked any time of year. (Yes, the characters do acknowledge the surface-level difficulties of their relationship, and Wyatt quietly and efficiently deals with them like the Daddy he is.) I highly recommend this holiday romance to readers no matter when they discover it.

This book was exactly what I needed after some of the heavier, darker, more angsty romances I've read lately, full of sass and snark, sugar and spice, and of course some tasty kink as well. This is a standalone story, but it does connect into the broader landscape of Cara Dee's book universe, with Parker being related to one of The Game series' characters.

I really enjoyed the way that the story took place over the entire holiday season and we got to see Parker and Wyatt's romance grow during that time. One of the things I've always loved about Cara Dee books is her knack for pacing the story exactly right. Rarely do I feel like one of her books or the relationship within it is too rushed or too much of a slow burn, and Daddy Christmas was no exception, which surprised me as most holiday/Christmas romances feel a bit rushed to me, even with all their stereotypical trope-y insta-love elements. Yes, it's got all the cheesy fluff you'd expect from a Christmas romance, but there's substance underneath the fluff that is excellently done. Part of me wishes that we were told some of the story from Wyatt's POV instead of the whole thing being from Parker's perspective, but it also maybe is better that way because Parker's enthusiasm, snark, and joy are contagious through the page.

This is a perfect D/b Christmas novella full of holiday festivities, cuteness, and love. Wyatt is a wealthy member of the family that owns the multi-national business where Parker, works as a graphic designer. Wyatt is just going through life, grumpy and flat, after a divorce a few years before. Parker, is a sunshiny, happy-go-lucky younger man who has a thing for older daddies. When their paths cross during a package delivery, Parker can't resist flirting with the 20+ yrs older man. Wyatt responds a little, but remains cautious.

During the company Christmas party, Parker is challenged to attend with his Christmas hat and very abbreviated clothing. Taking the bet, he also over-indulges in jello shots and flirts even more with Wyatt. A switch is flipped and the fun commences.

This well-written, low angst book seamlessly combines kink, passion, love, and ordinary life. It just all flows together something like you would imagine in real life. The MCs are head-over-heels and it shows. Not much is held back and the two enjoy many passionate encounters, work trips, and a full life. There are some neat tie-ins to other Cara characters, including from The Game series. There is also a very committed "works for them" forever love.

Daddy Christmas is a standalone office romance between Parker Jacobsen and the older, wealthier Wyatt Abrams.

The book details the life of Parker and Wyatt together from the first few hilarious encounters. The first encounter Parker doesn't realise who Wyatt is. The second time is just a continuation and an amusing car ride. By the time we get to the Christmas party mentioned in blurb, it's clear that Parker is a well put together hot mess. And it totally makes sense that he might need a Daddy to keep him grounded.

Wyatt works for his family's large company and the moment he meets Parker, the shields around his heart seem to melt almost instantly. Wyatt is kind of an understated type of Daddy/dom, but it is in that same understated manner that he embraces exploring a relationship with Parker.

I really enjoyed that this story was more about exploring the dynamics between Parker and Wyatt - there is a power dynamic between them that is much more even than originally seen or assumed in the earlier chapters. It just happens to set at Christmas and is low on angst and drama.

Parker Jacobson just might be one of my favorite characters in Cara’s universe, and while Wyatt was everything you want in a Daddy, Parker’s light shined bright in this book.

While not as kinky as some of her other works, Cara seriously knocked the Daddy/boy trope out of the park, along with a little bit of grumpy/sunshine and a whole lot of Christmas cheer.

I absolutely loved the timeline in this story. I enjoyed seeing how their month of December (and beginning of their relationship) played out in “real time”.

I’ve always been a huge fan of her connections with other characters in other series, so it was so much fun to get a few glimpses of one of my other favorite boys (NOA) in Parker’s story. Seriously. The two of them combined was *chef’s kiss* for me.

Parker is kind, unfiltered, charming, chaotic in the best way, and I have never wanted to befriend a character as much as I do him. Wyatt is unfailingly patient, generous, and the best possible Daddy and partner Cara could have given him.
