A great collection of short stories reminiscent of old sci-fi books, such as 20,000 LEAUGES UNDER THE SEA, and nature horror tales that make you want to never go out into the woods--or your own backyard.
My hands-down favorite was "Figurehead," because who doesn't love murderous mermaids exacting revenge on sailors? Talk about girl power.
Other faves included the whale of a tale "Gathering Shells" and the dastardly deeds of out-of-this-world people in "The Drawer."
