This is my problem with smut recently. You can write the kinkiest shit possible but if there are no emotions behind it's soulless. Passionless. Boring.
There was no build-up, they just jump on each other.

And I guess it's nice to have a k!nk talk before but it's so damn unsexy. Like taxes.

And these ladies know nothing about journalists. Trust me. I'm one.

clio evans kinda writes the same plots because the characters in her books always go out on dates and then they hook up and they also basically become a couple that same day because it’s really instalove. the smut was good but the characters kept saying or thinking random shit that would piss me off. the random plot thrown in at the end also was just kinda like?

Зняла бал за те, що перша сцена де жгг з'являється, вона залазе у шафку в роздягальні, щоб отримати якусь сенсаційну інформацію, і начхати на якесь особисте життя і т.п.
Здається не одна книжка не обійдеться без йобнутого колишнього, а особливо якщо він ще і журналіст, то це взагалі можна хрест на всьому ставити. Дякую що хоча б книжка маленька, і колишній отримав своє, правда він обісцявся, але хоч зникне з життя головних героїв.

i've been really looking forward to this since it was announced a few weeks ago - like, literally stayed up until midnight to hit "download" on kindle unlimited - and it was everything i've come to expect from ashley bennet's novellas! a plus sized sports reporter falls in unconditional love with a hockey playing krampus and yeti. all against the backdrop of winter/christmas. it's adorable, heartwarming, and, well...you know 😏

definitely add this one to your holiday tbr ❄️

OMG. What I would give to be the creamy center of a Krampus and Yeti oreo right now. (Yep, I meant it exactly as you read it.) Flurry and Klaus are up there with my most favorite monsters yet. Klaus the grump krampus and flurry our sweet fluffy yeti are quite the dynamic duo. Then we meet Holly our human FMC who well... gets railed. Punished. Monster-Handled (consensually) Holly is sweet and bratty, we love a girl who can do both! This was such a fun spicy read. Not a big sports girlie but hockey romance with monsters, yes please. Clio and Ashley NAILED THIS.

Я знала, що це новела, тому на дуже розгорнутий та напружений сюжет не розраховувала. Але отримала навіть менше, ніж хотілось би.

З одного боку, поняття пари / суджених передбачає миттєвий і яскравий зв’язок. А з іншого боку, дуже сильно не вистачило емоційної складової.
Мені хотілося б побачити цю історію у форматі роману - почути більше про героїв, поспостерігати за їхніми взаємодіями, дізнатись, як співіснують люди і монстри і т.д.
А так і детективна складова не детективна, і любовна лінія не любовна. До сцен 18+ в мене претензій немає і бути не може. Тут все прекрасно👉🏼👈🏼

4.25 ⭐️ This was horribly cute!

What do two monster professional athletes, a Yeti and a Krampus, do when they're together and alone in a locker room? Also, did I mention they're secretly mated? And that a pretty human reporter decided that the best way to not get caught snooping around was to get herself stuck in one of the lockers? Yes, this was as amazing as it sounds. And just as dirty, too!

I have had a couple of failed tries with Clio Evans' books before, but I have absolutely adored every Ashley Bennett book I've read, so this one was both kind of a pleasant surprise and a reassurance that Ashely Bennett really never disappoints.

There are some TW to take into account here, and although I love that they are wonderfully -rightfully- displayed at the beginning of the book, the ebook in KU starts on the first page of the first chapter. So, if I wasn't as obsessed with looking at the book covers as I am, I probably wouldn't have even noticed. Amazon needs to get it together.

I would also recommend this as a Holiday Novella. The snowy landscapes and the timeframe within the story fit really well. Also, the MMCs are a Yeti AND a Krampus. And, really, what's more Christmassy than that!?

Hehehe, I loveeeee monster smut, and that's what we get with this delicious book. Klaus and Frank are in a secret relationship because they don't know how their job would react with them being mates. So lots of after hour locker showers until they are spyed on by Holly, a reporter who wants a scoop on something for her work and walks in on this big moment. But she's more turned on than anything. And with her being caught, there's no harm because both Klaus and Frank want her. They know she's there other half.

The three have a steamy few moments getting to know one another and dealing with a blackmailer who wants to put them. But they handle that drama very well.

This is a nice book. I didn't know this was a fantasy romance when I started reading it. But then I proceeded and got confused. I check goodreads and got to know that this is a fantasy read.

If you want a book that has a Yeti and Krampus railing a human that’s fast-paced, quick to read, very spicy and Insta love, pick it up. I enjoyed this book but if you are after the plot you only get a little it's mainly all spice which isn't a bad thing!

I struggle with Insta love and fast-paced books but this was still fun. I will say when she said “oh gods” a few times frustrated me and the nicknames just didn't do anything for me.

Starting off my holiday romance reads with this set the bar SO high. I've liked Clio Evans and Ashley Bennett's writing on their own, and the collaboration was amazing.

I loved the combined writing styles. The characters had off-the-charts chemistry, and although it was short, the story was fun, it felt well done, and the vibes were perfect throughout.

Very cozy and low-drama read, and who doesn't like an MMF with a Yeti, Krampus, and plus-sized MFC?

Always like picking up a smutty monster fucking novella as a pallet cleanser.

This was very similar to other works by Clio in my opinion. Fast burn, raging fire, emotions as an afterthought, a little random suspenseful plot reveal at the end.

I liked the beginning and the entire set up a lot: FMC is a journalist, MMCs are hockey players in the monster league. She's in their locker room to get the scoop and stumbles on the MMCs' secret, that they're mates. They find her, ask her out, and basically bang it out before their happy ever after.

I do appreciate the FMC's sense to tell the MMCs the blackmail she receives instead of trying to solve it herself. Always like it when they're NOT too stupid to live.

Overall, I had a fun time.
