Pure magic from Peter Sears, ca 1978. This book shows off Peter Sears's great charm and youthful wit, steering a deft course between meeting his own aesthetic standards with the need to reach to the presumed 'accessibility' level of his audience. Some autobiographical nuggets are embedded in this trove -- grannies and ponds full of golf balls, bike runs through the Quogue woods -- and a great back cover picture of Peter with collar-length hair. I found this book in a used bookstore upstate Monday and am devouring it this week.
