Hannah Ellis spent many years working in childcare before deciding she'd like to write books. When she's not busy writing she likes to read, drink tea and eat chocolate. She also enjoys yoga and jogging.
Liked the whole book except the situation with Bethany of still trying to have rights when she is no longer in the picture as much as they try to put her in it. Not everyone is cut out to be a mother when they don’t want to be a mom.

How have I come to the final book in the series already! I am so not ready to part ways with these characters.
In the final book we get to catch up with all three men and their partners. We see the highs and lows of being a parent and finding love again. It is certainly relatable and I felt empathy for all the characters but more so for Leo and Caitlin and Hugh and Allie. Each man decides it’s time to settle down and get married and who doesn’t love a wedding? Especially when there are three of them!
The last part of the book was just magical, you can’t help but get swept up in all the romance and happy endings. I felt fit to burst with happiness as it is definitely contagious! I feel like I have been through so much with these characters and they all feel like old friends. Whilst the tension does get high at times it was still a wonderful read.
Rules of Engagement was the perfect finale for the Single Dads Club series. I have adored every minute of being back in Hope Cove with cameo appearances from characters in the the author’s original Hope Cove series as well as meeting new ones. It highlights being a single parent and the ups and downs. More than anything though it’s about strong friendships and finding love. It’s hard not to get swept up in it all and will leave you feeling happy and uplifted. The perfect escapism!
I was waiting with bated breath for the last book in the Single Dads Club series and it did not disappoint! It has everything you need for a few hours of escapism to the wonderful Hope Cove for a lighthearted conclusion to this series.
Hugh, Damian and Leo have had their own stories introduced in the first three books of this series and this book brings together the three stories as the single dad’s navigate their way through the ups and downs of their relationships whilst all trying to find their happy ever after.
There is so much to love about this book - the developing storylines from the perspective of each of the men, their different approaches to decision-making in their couples, the depth of friendship the men have, the cameos from the Hope Cove series characters and the impact that their children have on new partners is all covered in a humorous and realistic way.
It’s a shame that this series is now at its end but it was a perfect way to finish!
I’m already looking forward to getting stuck into another new series next year.
It is a bittersweet moment for me as this is the final book of the series and I am sad that I won't get another glimpse into the life's of characters that I have come to love but it was definitely the most perfect ending. This one features all three Dad's Hugh, Leo and Damian as they navigate through possibly marrying their partners. I absolutely believe that this is the best book of the series as I felt all the characters personalities coming out and what a wonderful way to go out. I laughed, cried, screamed and held my breath. The fact that the Dad's relationship is still so strong made me feel happy although they don't always agree they still respect each other and each other's opinions. Totally and utterly refreshing.
Book 4 in the author's Single Dads' series started with a high bar for me, wondering how she would tie all the stories up in one big happily ever after. But it worked making me more than happy! Hugh, Leo and Damian deserved to be happy. Each of their stories had their ups and downs and book #4 continued the themes from their individual stories. Balancing engagements, marriages and children into one final wrap up was ingenious. And including characters from the Hope Cove series was billiant! Thank you Hannah Ellis!
Gutted to know that my visits to Hope Cove are over
Absolutely adore the characters that Hannah Ellis has created. I loved to see how their lives are transforming and it was an added bonus to see some old friends from the Hope Cove series. My only complaint is that it left me wanting more!
What a lovely end to the single dads club. I have really enjoyed these books they've mad me laugh cry and even gasp at times. They are all so different but gel so well. Each relationship is so different but it worked so well. I hope there is another series about their future exploites. Keep up the good work Hannah i just love your books.
I absolutely loved reading this book the fourth and last book in this series. The ending was perfect for all the main characters. It was lovely that characters from the Hope Cove series was written into this book. I am sad that this is the last book.
I have now read all of the single dads club books and I thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. I loved all the characters and look forward to reading about the ones that weren't main characters. Once I started the first one it was hard to put each book down. Really enjoy reading hannah Ellis books.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading the last book in the series. Bringing everyone's stories together. A few bumps along the way for everyone. Made it interesting and urged you to continue reading to the end story.
Easy read but a disappointing end to the series. I liked having the three couples back but it felt like it was the same story three times with the engagements. Bethany is also infuriating and Leo annoyed me. Loved the parts about Hugh, Allie and Emmy though!
Such a great book, with really finishing off the stories of the 3 single dads with a few of the other regulars in the area also bought into the storyline . It is so nice to have a series properly finished and I wish other authors would do the same. Thank you Hannah for this great book.
This was the perfect ending to the Single Dads Club series. I also love how Hannah Ellis incorporates characters from her other books and ties everything together.
I have just read all 4 books and have really enjoyed them, they run seamlessly together it’s like reading one book Thank you Hannah, brilliant story telling
Another great series from Hannah. I love the way that characters from others series pop up in Hannah’s new series. Such easy reading and characters that you can get attached to.
A tearful (happy tears!) ending to another beautiful series! I liked the way each storyline was presented and wrapped up nicely. I also liked the crossover of characters from other series. As always, I’m sad for it to be ending because I get so enamored with all of the characters. But that only leaves room for new beginnings, new characters, and new stories to be enjoyed. Please don’t keep us in suspense for too long! : ) Thank you for sharing your gifts and talents. I’m grateful I stumbled upon your work when I did.
