Alice Feeney 2 Books Collection Set (Daisy Darker, Good Bad Girl [Hardcover])
Good Bad Girl [Hardcover]: Twenty years after a baby is stolen from her push-chair, a woman is murdered in a care home. The two crimes are somehow linked, and a good bad girl may be the key to discovering the truth. Edith may have been tricked into a nursing home, but at eighty-years-young, she's planning her escape. Patience works there, cleaning up mess and bonding with Edith, a kindred spirit. But Patience is lying to Edith about almost everything. Edith's own daughter, Clio, won’t speak to her. And someone new is about to knock on Clio's door... and their intentions aren’t good.
Daisy Darker Isolated on their private island in Cornwall, the Darker family have come together for the first time in over a decade. When the tide comes in, they'll be cut off from the rest of the world for eight hours. When the tide goes back out, nothing will ever be the same again. Nothing – because one of the family is a killer... As the leaves of autumn fall, Daisy Darker arrives at her grandmother’s house for eightieth birthday celebrations. Seaglass, the Darker’s ancestral home, is a crumbling Cornish house perched upon its own tiny private island.

Wow. I love this author and have loved the other books I read of hers - but this was was slow, especially the flashbacks. There were a few times that I almost just gave up on it. BUT so glad I didn’t, not only was I blindsided by the ending, but I also had some tears in my eyes. So SO glad I finished it, and would almost consider re-reading it if I didn’t have a million other books I want to read. Only reason I gave it 4 starts instead of 5 was cus of the really slow flashback chapters.
