The Science-Backed Anti-Inflammatory Diet for Beginners: A Hassle-Free Guide and Simple Meal Plan To Enhance Immunity, Optimize Gut Health, and Reduce Chronic Pain at Any Age
The information is useful, and the book offers helpful general tips for maintaining this lifestyle. The actual recipes are not as useful, as most require specialized ingredients not available at small town grocery stores. It’s particularly frustrating that each recipe seems to require a different “substitute” (vegan butter, cocoa butter, almond butter, oat flour, almond flour, whole wheat pastry flour, etc). This means that even if I can acquire the ingredients, I’d need to buy pretty much every flour, sugar, milk, and butter alternative on the market to make half a dozen recipes. That being said, the recipes did give me ideas for simpler versions of things I could make.
Helpful! A lot of the recipes I cannot use without adjustments, but there are recommendations for alternatives to use... This also explains the breakdown of different types of foods and the functions... I'm already following a similar diet, but it is good to see that I'm doing the right things...
This book has amazing recipes and a three week meal planning anti inflammatory meals. The first thirty pages discusses inflammatory foods and the rest of the book gives recipes for smoothies, all three meals, and then the three week plan. Although I have not yet done the three week plan I have tried several of the recipes and am working on a shopping list to start the three week plan.
