A silly crush on my Ex’s older brother leads to two unexpected pink lines.
Desperate for help, I didn't expect to be living with my Ex's infuriatingly handsome brother—the only sibling I've never spoken to.
The dude's more closed off than a vault. Yet, those piercing gray eyes have me at his mercy, leaving me breathless. He's hot in the manliest damn way that makes panties drop—mine included.
Jeez. Where the hell did that thought come from?
Complete opposites, his alpha attitude annoys me. As we clash like a classic bad rom-com, the guy I can't stand becomes my only lifeline.
Faced with danger, he swoops in to rescue me. Rugged. Dangerous. And oddly appealing. —my head warns.
Yet we kiss… And end up between the sheets…
Next breaking news, "Congratulations, you're pregnant," says the doc.
I felt bad for Amanda when Paxton treated her the way he did at the beginning. He was just so mean, lol! I get why he acted that way and why he didn’t want to start a relationship with her. There were a couple spots in this book where I was on the edge of my seat and freaking out. This book was really good and was hard to put down.
This book opens with Amanda Griffin finding out her roommate has not been paying rent for the last two months. Even though she had wired her both payments and proof of it. She had come home from visiting her grandmother for a week back in Meadville to all her belongings thrown outside her door. And an eviction notice on the door as well as pleading with the landlord to have mercy she said, no. Then told her, that Lucy Donovan had moved out the same day Amanda, had left to go visit her grandmother. Gosh, this couldn’t be happening today. Jace Bryant was coming for a visit.
She was out of time he was there. “Freckles!” that had been the name he had given her years ago, and he still couldn't let it go. They hugged but he could tell she was stressed. Plus, a lady was watching them. She wanted to give her side of the story, but the biddy was having none of it. So, Jace told Amanda he would help gather her things, and he took her home to his family.
Now, since the old days back home, unfortunately, have lost their father on the night of Paxton’s graduation. He had just graduated from MIT, and on their way home the fatal car accident took his dad’s life. Regrettably, it put his mom in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. He had already started taking the company to great heights before graduation, hence the move to California. However, now he had a purpose. Because he now needed to walk the tightrope of a big brother, caretaker, son, sudo parent, and CEO. But, once he got all the plates spinning at the same time, he made the Fortune 500 list. The family was living large in their McMasion.
He took her home, and everyone was excited except Paxton. Olivia was over the moon, as was their mom Alice. Yet, with Paxton, you would have thought she was asking for his kidney. However, she wasn't. All she was asking was to be allowed to stay in one of the many guest rooms in the house. Telling her that she will need to stay in her lane and out of his way. So, she does. Jace says he came back from Europe because he wants to try again. Amanda tells him, “No.” They do much better as friends. If he sits back and thinks hard about it. He agrees albeit reluctantly.
For her, it's all about, the worst first-time meet in history. Yup, before his rage toward her, she had never officially met Paxton before. They only ever had the pregnant pauses, like the one he had with Amanda before everyone else realized he was home. Turning him into Mr. Crabby Pants. It turns out that our boy is worried. But, you will have to read to see why. It will be worth it to you for sure.
📓 Title: Ex's Brother Billionaire's Baby by M. S. Heart
❤️ Rating: 3/5 ❤️❤️❤️
🔥 Spice: 3/5 🔥🔥🔥
📰 Review: An interesting read with spicy scenes.
Amanda had a crush on her friend's older brother, Paxton, growing up but never interacted with him until years later, when she suddenly finds herself homeless.
Jace, her childhood friend, convinces Amanda to stay at the family's large home, where she encounters a very gruff Paxton.
At first, I struggled with how the story was being told and how the relationship between the MFC and MFC was evolving.
However, things improved and I enjoyed seeing Amanda and Paxton open up to each other and being honest about their feelings.
Mind you, this was mainly prompted by a confrontation with some loan sharks and a hospital stay but they got there.
I did think Amanda and Jace needed a more in depth convo about their past, brief, relationship than what we saw early on. Maybe this was left out by the author to create more of a hurdle for the couple to overcome when Jace eventually found out about them.
The epilogue was one of my favourite scenes in the book. It had me smiling at how far Amanda and Paxton, in particular, had come in their relationship.

When Amanda finds herself evicted from her apartment, her best friend Jace comes to her rescue and takes her to his family's home. Everyone is happy to see her that is everyone accept Paxton. He is drawn to Amanda but acts out in making her feel unwelcome. Then if that isn't enough having her in his home, she gets the job as his secretary and that just jacks his feelings up even more. When two pink lines find their way into Amanda's life will Paxton finally breakdown and tell Amanda how he really feels about her. This story had me in their corner to get their chance for happiness.

This was my first book by this author, so I was a little apprehensive and told myself I could skip forward if I didn’t like it. No need to do that because I loved it. I loved the characters, Paxton and Amanda, both totally believable characters, each with their own back story and struggles. The book was just the right length. And all the emotions were there with a bit of added spice, and no unnecessary angst. I have already downloaded the next book and can’t wait to get started. Thank you M.S. Heart ❤️
I practically read this start to finish. Paxton was a gorgeous and successful billionaire. He was loving to his family but was a #1 A-H### when it came to sweet little Amanda. When a underhanded roommate took her rent but didn't pay the landlord she was evicted from her apartment. She was saved when her ex-boyfriend took her to his family home. Little did he know that his big bro would see her as a threat and treat her so poorly.
Amanda went to stay with at her friend Jace’s family home after being evicted because her room mate did not pay the rent. She bumped into Jace’s brother Paxton who was very rude. She had a crush on him when she was younger, and still had it. She needed a job and went to work at his company. They started out as enemies and it soon turned to love.
I loved this book. The book had a great storyline. It told about their early life and about how they fell in love. A great ending. I read this book before, but I did not leave a review then.
This book. Just smooth. Probably the best I’ve read. Easy story, easy to read, lovely family relationships too. Not a lot of negative drama, which is good and good/healing for the heart. Definitely 5 ⭐️
I'm not sure why I gave this book 4 stars the first time reading it. This time, it definitely earned 5 stars. I absolutely love Paxton and Amanda, Paxton was definitely my dream guy, too! I finished this book only wanting more.
