Bitter DestinyArchangel Gabriel has been cast from Heaven to save a mortal in order to fulfil a secret prophecy. Unknown to anyone Gabriel is supernaturally transformed by the will of his Father into the schools headmaster Dr. Valentine. This gives him the ultimate disguise to spend time on Earth allowing the prophecy to prevail. Summer, a perfectionist teacher, cannot deny her sudden desire for Dr Valentine. The couple cannot resist the desire to be together despite the consequences and threats from above. Gabriel remains on edge to protect Summer from the brother who followed him to Earth seeking answers. Attacks on people around the town, by his fallen brother and comrades, leads Gabriel into action as he struggles to deal with his feelings for Summer and duty to protect divinity.
Can Gabriel save the secret prophecy and keep Summer safe? Will the serial killing angel seek redemption or will Gabriel succeed in sending him back to Heaven for judgement?
I am a girl who will always support indie authors. But I also like to give an honest opinion.
Let me start with I took a break with this book and when I picked it up again I was glad I did.
I struggle with Romantasy and I just don't know why.
However I did persevere with Bitter Destiny.
I LOVE Donegal and this book is set in Donegal's little town of Portsalon.
Summer lives there with her best friend Orlando and one evening she meets Dr Valentine on her way home after feeling uneasy due to a big sluggy dude!
He is an archangel who cast himself from heaven to protect Summer.
Gabriel, is a walking, talking piece of man that of course makes Summer swoon.
You go through the journey of secrets, danger, love and fighting for a chance of love.
I personally don't like books that talk in the 3rd person but I got over it after a while. I did prefer towards the end of the book where things were a lot more rocky and action
