This sequel to Prehistoric The First Expeditions picks up where the first expedition left off. Something tore apart the lifeboat of The Atlantic Mermaid and the crew panicked. The Captain knows the creature that did this was from a prehistoric time. He's convinced Dr. Dimitrikov's time-travel device widened the passage they journeyed through, allowing prehistoric mammals to slip into their time of 1910. Rosa, the archeologist, insists there's a pathway that leads to the prehistoric past.
The explorers thrash through time again landing in Ireland circa 840 A.D - a time when savage Vikings pillaged their way through most of Europe. Limmerick, possessed of bulk and muscle, is pitched in bloody battles with Vikings and Celts while the time-travellers search for the doorway that leads home. Even with Dr. Dimitrikov's device at their disposal, they may not be able to undo what their meddling had caused and put them back in the time where they belong.
The Captain knows that the responsibility for all that has gone wrong rests on his broad shoulders, and he will not stop until he has restored the natural order of things.
