The saga of Jase and Bethany continues in this book #2 of the series.
The action continues in this crime family as they continue to build and run their empire. And Jase and Bethany continue to develop their relationship. It is still raw and passionate and the desire is so strong between these two. They fight and love...it is quite the emotional roller coaster and you can get a little drained but you cannot stop reading because you have to know what happens next.
I loved it. I read it in one sitting. In fact I am reading their whole series in one sitting. So on to book #3.
The saga of Jase and Bethany continues in this book #2 of the series.
The action continues in this crime family as they continue to build and run their empire. And Jase and Bethany continue to develop their relationship. It is still raw and passionate and the desire is so strong between these two. I can’t wait to see how this series ends! I love love love Jase Cross. He’s the perfect badass book boyfriend.
Here’s what I loved:
The author does a great job progressing the story arc while staying true to the characters in this series.
Getting glimpses of the other brothers (including Sebastian) was a definite highlight. I will forever love Carter Cross, so any mention of him is a bonus in my book.
Jase is perfection. A very solid male lead who connects with the reader.
The storyline and progression of the overall arc is exemplary. I’m already excited for even more characters to get their own stories.
All in all it was an excited read that definitely teased more and I can’t wait for more!

Willow Winters' books are akin to presents for me. The minute I get them I can't wait to dive in. Factor in my unhealthy obsession with Jase Cross and well I sat and devoured A Single Kiss in one sitting. I have been consumed with Jase and his relationship with Bethany Fawn as their connection is intense, raw and powerful. I loved seeing them together once again as they worked on figuring out the truth and their feelings for one another in the process.
Without giving away any spoilers, Winters throws us back into that heart-pounding cliffy from book 1 where Bethany must figure out who is after her and the mystery of what happened to her sister. But while she is on the quest for the truth, shocking clues lead her to question if Jase is really out to protect her or if he is the one she should be running from all along.
I have been a longtime fan of Ms. Winters as I feel she is a remarkable storyteller with an innate ability to make us feel a wide gamut of emotions. The way she portrayed Jase was absolutely everything. He is ruthless and merciless and yet he has a soft heart for his woman that just took my breath away. He is my favorite Cross brother to date. There is something about that man and the way he completely sees Bethany and into her heart that gives me chills.
While I loved this story I had a major issue with Bethany as I found her to be a little wishy washy as her feelings tended to see-saw back and forth. She would cry endlessly, suddenly become angry and then fall back into a depression. In addition, it was hard to find any progression and growth in her character arc which was frustrating at times. Jase and Marcus on the other hand, were the entire story in my eyes. Jase's progression from the first book was almost transformative as he was still this dangerous man but his powerful feelings for Bethany caused a catch in his breath and a lurch in his heart. You could tell she was his gamechanger and ultimate weakness as she and her safety became his primary focus. Likewise, Winters set up Marcus' story in spectacular fashion as the little clues and breadcrumbs she dropped had me on the edge of my seat and anxious for more.
All in all, while this wasn't my favorite book in the series I am unnaturally obsessed with Jase and Bethany's story and the love they have for one another. I can't wait for their conclusion in A Single Touch. Bravo! 4.5 stars! ~Ratula

OMG! This book was amazing! It picks up right where book one left us. Bethany and Jase are great and their connection only grows stronger as the story continues. Just when you think it couldn't get any better Willow is able to surprise you with what happens next again and again. The chemistry between Beth and Jase is smoking hot and will leave you needing a tall cool drink when you finish. The emotions you feel while reading this story will have you questioning what could possibly happen now? I absolutely fell more in love with Jase. I can not even begin to guess at what will happen with this super couple in book three! As before Willow leaves wanting to scream "WTH?" "When is the next book coming out?" Please say soon!

Jase & Bethany had an attraction that Bethany could not resist, unlike the other Cross brothers women that came from the lifestyle that understood their mates world, Bethany did not. Bethany struggled against the lifestyle Jase lived but was so drawn to him too. Bethany was Jase Cataline tine he love her fiery and her innocence.
Jase understand all the struggles Bethany is feeling from losing her sister because of the lost he had with his brother and all Jase wants is to keep Bethany safe and he will go though any lengths to keep her with him and safe. Ooooo the continuing story of Jase and Bethany....
Picking up right where A Single Glance left off. You get more intrigue, more mystery and action. You also get the holy hot steaminess of the chemistry between Jase and Bethany. It's flaming hot!! (See what I did there?!? No? Well read the story and you will know what I am talking about!!)
Bethany is still struggling with her feelings towards Jase. It makes me want to shake her and say "WHY" are you doing this? She is dealing with the loss of her sister. She is fighting hard not to love Jase.

Bethany is still struggling with her feelings towards Jase. It makes me want to shake her and say "WHY" are you doing this? She is dealing with the loss of her sister. She is fighting hard not to love Jase.

A Single Kiss picks up exactly where A Single Glance left off.
Apart from a few shocking revelations, the story continues and strengthens the bond between Jase & Beth though they are both reluctant to admit it.
I felt the first book was better in terms of catching my interest but I do look forward to see how this story ends.

La tragica scomparsa della sorella l’aveva gettata nello sconforto più totale ma tra le braccia di Jace, un uomo enigmatico e perverso, Bethany aveva trovato conforto.
Lui la bramava e desiderava in un modo che lo destabilizzava e confondeva talmente tanto che le aveva proposto un accordo. Tale patto era funzionale all’ottenimento di certe informazioni, e quando il debito sarebbe stato ripagato tra loro sarebbe finito tutto.
Ma era davvero questo che volevano?
Poi un giorno degli uomini si erano introdotti nell’appartamento di Bethany, lasciandola terrorizzata. Ma più di tutto arrabbiata perché le avevano portato via il libro senza copertina a cui teneva moltissimo, l’ultima cosa che sua sorella Jenny le aveva lasciato e l’unica cosa che conteneva un messaggio da parte sua.
«L’unica chiave che avevo per scoprire cosa le fosse successo».
Bethany adesso non si sentiva più sicura di niente e di nessuno, neanche di Jace si fidava più e per riuscire a dissipare gli atroci dubbi che nutriva su di lui aveva necessità di sapere quali fossero le ultime parole che Jenny le aveva riservato.
🖋️Anche questo secondo volume, come il precedente, è ricco di intrighi e mistero. La presenza inquietante di Marcus si fa sentire per l’intero libro, gettando ancora più ombre su alcuni avvenimenti chiave del passato.
I ricordi di Jace su quanto accaduto ad Angie sono molto tristi e strazianti, per i quali avverte ancora pesanti sensi di colpa che gli dilaniano il cuore.
Bethany appare molto confusa.
È consapevole di essere innamorata di Jace ma non è certa di potergli dare ancora fiducia, e quando rientra a casa e a terra vede quelle che ritiene siano le prove della sua colpevolezza, prende la sua decisione. Quella definitiva, che la metterà in una situazione dubbia e di pericolo.
Sono molto curiosa di vedere se saprà cavarsela anche senza l’aiuto di Jace.

A Single Glance blew me away so I had high hopes for book 2. But wow, A Single Kiss obliterated book 1. What an incredible book. Beautifully written, emotional, heartbreaking and addictive.
Book 2 picks up where A Single Glance left off. From the moment you begin, tension is high and it doesn’t let up throughout the book. It is thrilling, tense and emotional. Willow Winters has such a way with words. Every chapter had me captivated.
The chemistry between Jase and Bethany is intense throughout. I love the interaction between the two of them and how their relationship has progressed from book one. I also loved seeing the other Cross brothers making an appearance. I adore this world and the characters in it.
The emotion portrayed in each scene reaches out from the pages and punches you in the gut. You are truly pulled into the story and feel everything that these characters are going through. I was on edge reading every chapter, my heart was in my throat at times and I couldn’t put it down.
Unexpected twists, heart pounding drama, sizzling chemistry and beautiful writing. This book is everything. It has firmly found a place as one of my favourites.
I cannot wait for the final book in this series! It is sure to be a phenomenal conclusion to a breathtaking trilogy.

OMG Willow Winters! Again I ask you, What have you done to me? You pull out every emotion that I have, twist me up, then put me back together. You continue to surprise me by writing even better than before. When I can’t possibly think you can be any better, you prove me wrong time and time again. A Single Kiss is a gut wrenching, grab you and won’t let go book. An explosive page turner that will suck you in and won’t let go. It is brilliant. It is amazing. I loved it.

It starts out just as intense as Single Glance ended. The unsure feeling that Jase and Bethany have for each other continues to intensify while you are learning more about both of them and there story.

The author creates such an atmosphere of suspense. You can taste the fear. And the cliff-hanger that the first book ended on, it's still there. A question of - "Is she alive? Is she dead?" There is no surety, no sense of calm. The emotions of Jase and Bethany are depicted beautifully. It's so heart-breaking to read Bethany's indecisiveness. Having lost her sister, she wants to trust someone, to fall back on someone, that someone being Jase. And yet she can't, she cannot fully trust him yet. She defies him, fights him every which way.
Jase is too intuitive for his own good. Also, the self-recrimination is something I believe makes me love his character more, in spite of the dark layers. The writing, oh, the writing! I wonder from where does the author bring about such richness in the language.
Also, I am warming up to Seth too. I don't know why I didn't notice him in the first book that much but, he has a calm presence in the storm that is Jase-Bethany's relationship. I wonder if he gets his own story?
What!?! Halfway through the book, new characters are finally introduced, characters whom we have been only hearing about since the first book. I so want to share but that will give away the surprise. And did I say how much I love the book within a book concept? The Coverless Book is just it! It's still a mystery but I surely want to have a copy of that book!
I want a friend like Laura too, how sweet is she to Beth! Jase and Bethany's relationship is a slow and sweet build-up, throughout Book One and now Book two. The uncertainties, the sweetness, the hotness. The author does justice to their melancholic state with her stellar writing. You just feel it in your bones. Fourth of June come fast, I can't wait to read the conclusion to this trilogy. Oh Jase and Bethany, I heart you!

P.S. Is Jase the youngest Cross Brother? I am a little confused. There are four Cross brothers, Carter, Jase, Daniel, and Declan. And there's a fifth honorary brother Sebastian. My heart broke, my heart swelled with love and my heart was jumping out of my chest, talk about so much feels. I lived for every embrace, every kiss, gasp and moan. Willow has a gift for evoking so much raw emotions off the pages and into your own heart.

Bethany è alla continua ricerca di indizi per scoprire chi abbia ucciso la sorella, per questo accetta un accordo con Jase, l'aiuterà a scoprire la verità, in cambio lei ripagherà il debito di Jenny passando del tempo con lui.
Ma dopo aver trovato il "Libro Senza Copertina" che le ha lasciato Jenny e i pochi indizi trovati nascosti tra le righe non è più sicura di nulla, non sa più se può fidarsi di Jase e, dopo l'irruzione avvenuta in casa sua, mette tutto in discussione. Quel nome trovato tra le righe riportava alla famiglia Cross, cosa c'entrano veramente i fratelli di Jase nella scomparsa di Jenny?
È sempre più smarrita, confusa, sola, non sa dove andare o a chi chiedere aiuto e, nonostante i sentimenti che inizia a provare per Jase, sa che per lui non è la stessa cosa, non c'è futuro per loro, lui vive in un mondo di violenza ed é stato chiaro con lei, non lascerà mai quella vita e i suoi fratelli e non potrà mai ricambiare i suoi sentimenti, il loro accordo ha una scadenza, la decisione migliore quindi è scappare e allontanarsi da lui se non vuole un cuore spezzato.
"Come ho potuto lasciare che le corde della vita di Jase e della morte di mia sorella si avvolgessero così strette attorno a ogni mio momento di veglia?"
Dal canto suo Jase deve fare i conti col passato, la scomparsa di Angie, i sensi di colpa legati alla sua morte lo rendono un uomo inquieto straziato dal dolore e dalla voglia di vendetta.
" Lei merita di odiarmi. Io non merito il suo amore, figuriamoci il suo perdono. Non merito nulla di tutto questo."
Devo dire che questa serie non mi sta prendendo particolarmente, pensavo che il primo volume fosse un assaggio di quello che poi sarebbe stata l'evolversi della vera storia, ma a parte pochi momenti interessanti e il mistero legato a Marcus e Jenny non mi ha colpito più di tanto, solo paranoie stupide da parte di Bethany.
Il continuo rifiuto che ha nei confronti di Jase la rendono esasperante, peggio di Aria con Carter, almeno lì si percepivano i sentimenti che provavano l'uno per l'altro anche se si rifiutavano di ammetterli.
Per quanto riguarda il personaggio maschile avevo molte aspettative, invece a differenza di Carter che mi aveva intrigato col suo lato oscuro e dominate e con la sua ossessione per Aria, anche se andando avanti ha perso un po' di intensità, Jase lo sto trovando privo di spessore, non ho percepito l'uomo, la storia tra lui e Bethany è lenta, senza feeling, spenta, non mi ha dato nessuna emozione, spero di ricredermi nel terzo e ultimo capitolo.

I kept loving this story and Willow always manages to leave the best/worst cliffhangers!! I just can never put her books down.
We see more of Jase’s backstory, which I loved because it explains so much. I also loved seeing all the brothers more in this one. Jase continues to be such a great character I’m just obsessed with him.
Bethany is so unpredictable. I can never guess what she’s going to do and I feel like her mind is always all over the place. I like it though because it keeps me guessing on what will happen next. I just wish the two of them would finally just get together, but I have a feeling the next book is going to be amazing and I can’t wait.

Uncertainty and Indecisions...
Jase Cross is a man that has almost all of the human emotions. Anger, Disgust, Sadness and Contempt. But the emotions he is forever struggling with are fear and happiness. These are not in his makeup. He has no fear and does not believe he deserves happiness. Jase is plagued with a past that he cannot escape and harbors guilt for certain deeds he feels responsible for.
Bethany is caught up in the invisible ropes of danger and desire that Jase has bound her with. She cannot abandon the feelings she has for him. In the dark background, Marcus is still playing the role of puppeteer controlling Jase and Bethany's strings that are precariously dangling in danger of unravelling them both completely.
This story is emotionally gut wrenching as we watch Bethany at the crossroads of sinking into the world of Jase or swimming above it all to be free.

Jase Cross and Bethany Fawn are magical together and this book is no different as they continue on their journey together to find answers. OMFG!!😳 Willow has done it again!! This is the continuation of Jase and Bethany’s story, and does it start off with a bang. This story has more suspense, secrets, lies, lust and possibly love. These two are fighting the feelings they have for each other. “I don’t love you.” “ I don’t love you, too.”
Bethany is still dealing with the loss of her sister, and feeling guilty of the feelings she has to Jase, who she thinks could very well be her enemy. Jase is fighting his caring about Bethany, because he thinks he doesn’t or can’t love anyone. He is so loyal to his family, but also wants to keep Bethany safe. The chemistry between Jase and Bethany is just as explosively hot as it was in ‘A Single Glance,’ if not more. There are some big twists that will make you go, WTH!!😳😳 This started just as intense as ‘A Single Glance’ ended. I was kept on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. I could not put this down until I was finished. Willow is doing such a fantastic job with Jase and Bethany. You will love this just as much as I do. 💞💞This is a DO NOT MISS for April!! I can’t wait to see what happens in the last part of their story.
