I actually don't know a) where this book came from and b) why I own it, but I've had this book for god knows how long...also don't know if I've ever actually read it. But since I'm working my way through my physical books, I ain't going to pass on a book i own.
Ah. Having a male lead describe the curves of a 10 year old. Either his a creep or the after originally describing the 10 year old, the author didn't differentiate between FMC and adult, cause reading that sentence creeped me out.
50 pages in and there's no love here.
The male lead is describing cowboys as if their scum on earth. His pressuring a young woman to make her heavily private life, public. Plus what man wears a pair of speedos under jeans?
Carol is very eh. She's a single mum, ex to a deadbeat rockstar, and pissed off to high heavens at this city slicker.
I honestly can't see these two getting togethor.
Did I really need to read, in almost every page that Carole was a teen mum, in a bad marriage, and a cheating husband and he has zero interest in knowing the kid? Every page. At least once a paragraph. We get it.
This is a very polite lovemaking, almost weirdly worded romance.
Mind you, I never want to read sex described as "he pressed home"...
