Light It Up Red

Rate this book
Travis:

Red. You could say it’s my favorite color.

There’s nothing like seeing the lights go red after I’ve scored a goal.

The red she paints her lips, f***ing hypnotizing.

That’s the image I choose to focus on now.

It’s a hell of a lot better than the red of the blood currently staining my shirt. Or the red of the flashing lights surrounding me.

When I wake up in a hospital bed, my first thought is those red lips and the girl who owns them.

Except she’s not here.

Liliana:

Most men I date are scared away as soon as they meet my family.

Travis isn’t most men. He’s stared down the barrel of my father’s gun without flinching.

He should have run, though.

If he had, he wouldn’t be lying in a hospital bed right now.

I never wanted to believe my family would be capable of doing this. But that little voice in the back of my head likes to remind me of who I am. Who I’ll always be.

Liliana Valentino, daughter of Theo Valentino, the current Don of the Valentino Crime Family.

Sometimes you have to break hearts to keep them beating. At least that’s what I’m telling myself as I walk away from the only man brave enough to fight for me.

The heroine here is so freakin doormat and it’s very disappointing🤢 For a mafia princess, she knows how to fight and use weapons but her brain is a doormat woman. It’s very disgusting to see that she have to beg the hero many times to not leave her cause of her family being a mafia boss like that and even DEFEND THE HERO FROM HER FATHER WHEN THE HERO HAVE TO BE THE ONE WHO DO THAT!!!Like chill girl. You’re from a mafia family and let’s not make that a big deal. I lost count on how many times she being so freakin dramatic about little situations 😑😑😑

So this heroine right here is so freakin boring. I hate doormat heroines especially the one that always beg and say to the hero to stay 🤢🤢 EEEWW. SHE ALWAYS THE ONE WHO TELLS THE HERO LIKE HOW SHE IS SO SAD THAT SHE WON’T SEE HIM IN A MONTH because she have to go to italy with her family! With her family! LIKE WTF IS WRONG WITH HER 😭😭 SO MANY SCENES OF SHE’S SUCH A DUMB DOORMAT HEROINE TO THE HERO…

Like girl where’s your dignity 😒😒😒

Even in the beginning of the story like they’re romance is fast but stupid fast. Yes you read that right. STUPID. They have s3x the first night they meet. And not only that, THE HEROINE IS THE ONE WHO FIRST SAID TO THE HERO THAT SHE’S H*RNY FOR HIM… LIKE WTF. When they had s3x for the first time, the hero didn’t even satisfy her body first… THEY JUST GO FOR IT 🤢🤢 Wow. In that scene i just knew that the author really kill the romance of this book. Especially with the heroine being like that, I’m sorry but it really RUINS THE WHOLE BOOK for me…

The heroine constantly always defend the hero in front of her family and even her parents it’s very unacceptable. He can do that for himself girl and your family only throwing empty threats 😂 She acts so very dramatically stupid about it every single time. Eewww.

I DO NOT enjoy reading this book at all… But for safety, no cheating. The hero is possessive and not too much. I didn’t see the hero being a manwhor3. Happy ending.

Sorry for the bad review on this but i have to be honest about the book. Go read it for yourself if you don’t believe me 😅

It’s very disappointing that this hockey series from the author is such a bad love stories…

⚡️⚡️⚡️THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING MY REVIEW. Even if you hate my review i still say thank you so much cause you spend your time reading this one👻 I’m not a professional reviewer or professional reader. I’m just someone who likes to read novels that is safe and no cheating whatsoever. And many more that i like lol😆 I DID NOT GET PAID TO DO THIS. This is just basically me writing my review based on my personal opinion about the book if it’s safe or what I will write it all down just the way i like it 😏 I know my review can be very straightforward with the way i write it down all of it and not a professional writing because again I’m not professional reviewer anyway. And whatever negativity you might think of what i write or what my thoughts are on my review about a book, me and you are not the same person. I have my own types of book and you have your own. You have your own thoughts and same with me. You can’t control what I should write on my review and neither should I. I WILL NOT TOLERATE NEGATIVE COMMENT AND I WON’T EVER REPLIED TO IT. If you still don’t like what i write and my disclaimer here, IT’S A YOU PROBLEM. NOT MINE😙 HAVE A GREAT DAY❤️❤️❤️

Types of book that I’m looking for: SAFE, safe all the way from the beginning till the end🥵 No cheating, no unnecessary childish drama. Not too much OW DRAMA cause they are loud and annoying lol. NO to still having feelings about a ex especially wants go get back together tf no. NO to friends with benefits and still seeing other people type of sh*t. NO to hero or heroine who said i love you and have been obsessed but still likes to fvck around yeah big NO to that sh*t. NOOO to still married or still in a relationship with someone else while liking the main character, yeah they have to be single since the beginning. NOOO to a long separation and have someone else they have s3x with during the separation. NOO to too many times of separation and breaking up sh*t. NOO to toxic narcissistic characters.
I preferred the characters are loyal to the core, over the top possessive heroes since the beginning and never stops, main characters have unique jobs or talents, the hero adores and obsessed with the heroine so much, the hero fell harder for the heroine and don’t want let her go and fight for her. And most importantly EPILOGUE AND ESPECIALLY THE DECADES LATER SCENE…. HAPPY ENDING IS A MUST. Chemistry is a must too 🙏🏼

Star: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Light It Up Red by Kylie Kent is a gripping romance that intertwines the thrill of sports with the perilous world of organized crime. The novel follows the lives of Travis and Liliana, whose love story is fraught with danger, passion, and familial loyalty.

Travis is a charismatic athlete whose life takes a dramatic turn when he finds himself in a hospital bed, his shirt stained with blood. His obsession with the color red symbolizes the intensity of his feelings and the perilous situations he finds himself in. From the red lights of the goalposts to the red lipstick of the woman he loves, Travis’s world is painted with shades of danger and desire. His resilience and bravery, especially in the face of Liliana’s intimidating family, make him a compelling and admirable protagonist.

Liliana, on the other hand, is a character torn between her heart and her heritage. As the daughter of Theo Valentino, the Don of the Valentino Crime Family, she’s accustomed to a life filled with threats and violence. Her internal conflict is palpable as she struggles to reconcile her love for Travis with the dangerous reality of her family’s influence. Liliana's journey is one of self-discovery and difficult choices, illustrating the complexities of loyalty and love in a world ruled by power and fear.

Kylie Kent’s writing is vivid and immersive, drawing readers into a narrative that is as much about the intensity of romance as it is about the looming threat of crime. The chemistry between Travis and Liliana is electric, with their interactions providing both heartwarming and heart-wrenching moments. The plot is fast-paced, with suspenseful twists that keep readers on edge, eagerly turning pages to uncover the fate of this star-crossed couple.

The thematic use of the color red throughout the novel serves as a powerful motif, symbolizing not only love and passion but also danger and violence. This duality reflects the central tension in the story: the fight between the allure of a loving relationship and the brutal reality of the crime-ridden world they inhabit.

However, Light It Up Red is more than just a romance or a crime thriller; it’s a story about courage, sacrifice, and the lengths one will go to for the people they love. It’s about finding light in the darkest of places and the redemptive power of love, even when surrounded by bloodshed and betrayal.

In conclusion, Kylie Kent delivers a compelling tale in Light It Up Red that will appeal to fans of romance and crime fiction. With its dynamic characters, intense plot, and evocative writing, this book is a rollercoaster of emotions that doesn’t disappoint. Whether you’re drawn to stories of forbidden love, intense family drama, or thrilling action, Light It Up Red is a novel that promises to captivate and entertain.

Hockey + Mafia romance

4⭐️ 2🌶️ Book 3 in the Vancouver Knights hockey series

Liliana Valentino is the daughter of the head of the New York mafia. Travis plays pro hockey for NY. She attends a game with a friend that works as a physical therapist for the team, and when Travis sees Liliana by the glass he immediately asks the friend to bring Liliana to meet him. While Liliana thinks he will be a fun ONS, Travis has other ideas and wants to see her again. He is obsessed, and I loved it. They become inseparable. He is so gone for her.

"I can't believe you just got O'Neil's jersey.”
"Why?"
"You have no idea what just happened in there.”
"I met a superstitious hockey player who had a fit because I wasn't wearing red.”
"Oh, girl, no. You were just claimed by Travis freaking O'Neil." 🥵

‘I've never met anyone like him before. I've never felt this comfortable with anyone before. It's this sense I get whenever he looks at me. Like he understands and sees me.’

‘For the first time in my life, I feel seen.’

“I might not be Lili's first boyfriend, but I will be her last."

“I won the lottery of a lifetime the day I met you.”

"Travis, Vancouver is your dream. You are not giving up your dream for me."
"You are my new dream," he says.

‘Travis will forever be my person.’

“You and me are end game. There is no other option.”

I really enjoyed this book, I liked Travis how he was literally in from day dot. The way he didn't care about who her family was that he would want her no matter what. I also did like Lili she was well written but def had her insecurities which makes sense, you have this family that either people run from the hills or use you to get what they want. ....Mild spoiler.......

but I did not like the attempt of a 3rd act break up. I think she should have stuck with him in his time of need I would have been livid if I were him and going through a hard time and the one person that you want by your side refuses to be.

...End of mild spoiler...

Overall it was a great book Kylie will always be my one click no questions download. This book is part of a series but you do not need to read the others to enjoy this one

As soon as Travis entered the scene this man had me, his personality was so easy to like and he was all in on Liliana. This is very insta/lust/love but it was cute how gone he was, and the way absolutely nothing would stand in his way from him being with her was quite swoony. I liked that we got to go back to how they met up to the present. Liliana and her crazy family kept a smile on my face. As much as she worried and tried to fight it she knew Travis was it for her. It just took her a bit longer to get there. Looking forward to finishing this series with Luke.

Mafia princess meets hockey? Kylie Kent understood the assignment. Still could have been better, it only took me half a day to read. Good plot. The characters were solid, would have liked more build up. This is the 3rd book so I like that it’s got everyone in it. Aka I’m probably going to like the last one. Even tho they aren’t great, still a good read

Light It Up Red certainly lit me up. This story had hockey and mafia hotties, what more can a girl ask for right?

Kylie Kent continues to bring us amazing stories with her storytelling flare. Light It Up Red has the bonus of a Valentino Heir.

Yep, the newest Knights player Travis O'Neil fell for the mafia princess Liliana Valentino before his move, and the pair fell hard.

Apart from Travis moving to Vancouver, they have a bigger problem. Liliana's father Theo is not happy about letting his baby girl go.

There wasn't a huge hockey focus in this one, in my opinion, it was just the right amount for the story Kylie was telling. I was really happy that we got plenty of Valentino though. Plenty of the family made an appearance and it was perfection.

I don't know when Kylie planned for these two worlds to come together and how long she's had this story floating in her magical mind but it was honestly the best crossover.

Travis and Lili meet at a hockey game of course and from that moment Travis knows what he wants. Lili is sure that he'll run a mile when he finds out who she is, but the right man never runs and Travis is all kinds of right.

They had an instant connection and chemistry off the charts.

The story is wrapped up with an overprotective family, an attempt on Travis's life, a threat to Lili, and plenty of drama and spice.

I'm not sure what the Vancouver Knights will bring us next and I didn't think anyone would bet Grayson but Travis sure did that.

I can't wait for more.
.
.
.
Lili has been dragged to a hockey game by her bestie who works for the team and instead of sitting up in the nice warm box her family owns they are down close to the ice. She's not at all interested until one of the players bangs on the glass in front of her.
'A player in a red and white uniform smiles in my direction. The sharpest blue eyes sear through me and then he turns around and skates off.'

Travis spotted her while warming up on the ice. The most captivating woman he'd ever seen, but she was wearing the wrong color and that just wouldn't do. Seeing the woman with her work for the team he gets them to the locker room and insists she wear something more appropriate it. She's got no idea that by him putting her in his jersey he's claimed her.
'She doesn't realize that I've put my mark on her.'
'I've never wanted to kiss a woman so much. It's like I was aching for it.'

Lili can admit that Travis O'Neil might be worth freezing to be close to the ice, but he clearly has no idea who she is. When he finds out she's sure that he'll run, despite what her bestie says.
"Guys find out my las name and they run."
"Yeah, I think Travis is gonna be different. I've got a feeling."

Travis makes Lili feel things that she doesn't usually feel but things only get worse when he takes her home and it's her family's building. Sneaking around could get Travis killed but Lili won't let her family run him off. For once she's found someone who could be real.
"When I'm with him, I feel a peace I've never known before. And when I'm not, all I do is count down the time until I see him again."

Lili's family won't scare Travis away. They can threaten and intimidate all they want but he's already decided that she's worth it all. With his dream opportunity available he won't leave New York without her.
'Maybe my ass really is about to get shot. Doesn't matter. Still worth it. She's worth it.'

Just when Lili thinks she's going to get the happily ever after she's always wanted she realizes that her happy ending could be Travis's actual end. She might have to give it all up just to keep him alive.
"You and me are end game. There is no option. You say you want me to live, but I'm standing here telling you that I won't - can't live without you."

Happy Reading.

A mixed bag for me

I’m a moody reader- so my moods definitely impact how I feel about a read and how critical I may or may not be. So take my thoughts with a grain of salt.

As a whole, I love this author. Her reads are a guilty pleasure of mine, starting with my first read way back with Riley and Bray , and I reread them all often. I super love that all of these series are interconnected , so we get to see so many favorites over and over. The OG’s, “the Oldies” 😂, the next gen… they’re all great. I recommend starting from the way back for the best experience, but it’s totally not necessary. Each series however, does tend to overlap in timeline so reading them in order is best.

This one just didn’t hit the same as the others for me. Was it me? Maybe. I have been a bit grouchy this weekend. 🤷🏻‍♀️

TBH I started losing interest when Lili decided to play the martyr and go all “I can’t lose you, so I’m breaking up with you”. 🙄 I hate the whole “I have to hurt you because I love you so much” trope. And it dragged out long enough that the more she whined on about how much it hurt and the more she cried, the less sympathy I had for her. Let’s be real, literally all the men in her family- all the Oldies- married “normal” women, and their relationships lasted. So her arguments are all invalid. Maybe I’m just extra salty, but damn. I had to start skimming over her POV because I started to not stand her.

I did, however, love Travis. He was swoon, of course. All her main men typically fall at first sight, are super protective, and dote on their queens. He was no exception. We see a lot of her family as well. Initially, they were a bit obnoxious with their overbearing ways. But they are always a treat. I’m always down for some Valentino time! Sooooo… mixed bag. Not my favorite in the bunch. But still not sad I read it. I’ll take it as a win.

The third standalone novel in the Vancouver Knights series, this book focuses on Liliana Valentino (yes, daughter of Theo Valentino) and Travis O’Neil, a star hockey player for the NY Strikers. The story opens with a gripping prologue where Liliana and Travis are already in a relationship, and Travis has just been shot after a practice. Liliana, in a moment of emotional turmoil, accuses her father, Theo Valentino, of being responsible, due to the strained relationship between them. Theo has always been protective of Liliana, disapproving of her relationships and believing no one is worthy of his daughter.

The story then takes us back eight months earlier, to when Liliana and Travis first meet. The majority of the novel follows their evolving relationship, filled with challenges—especially from Liliana’s family. To fully enjoy this book, it’s highly recommended to read the previous books in the Vancouver Knights series, which delve deeper into the Valentino family dynamics.

When Travis is traded to the Vancouver Knights, he moves there with the intention of having Liliana join him. But when he’s shot, Liliana makes the difficult decision to break up with him, believing that her family’s involvement may have put him in danger. Despite her decision, Travis refuses to give up on their love and works tirelessly to win her back. Even Liliana’s family starts to see that Travis might be the perfect man for her, and together, they set out to uncover the truth behind the shooting.

With a compelling mystery and a shocking revelation about who shot Travis, this novel is filled with suspense and emotional depth. Liliana and Travis’s relationship is full of heart, and they truly complement each other. The book delivers a perfect mix of romance, drama, and intrigue, making it an enjoyable read for fans of the series.

loved them

“She’s worth it. I don’t know her that well yet, but I always trust my gut.”

I don’t read a love of Insta Love but the ones I do, always hit the mark. The attraction and connection between Lili and Travis was immediate. While everyone tried to warn him off after learning who she is, I LOVE that Travis didn’t hesitate at all with his pursuit.

“I might not be Lili’s first boyfriend, but I will be her last.”

Since growing up in a mafia driven world, Lili has learned to keep everyone at bay. That is until Travis sneaks under all her defended and they both end up falling so fast. I loved the progression of their relationship because it made sense for them.

“I want to keep you to myself and not have to share you with everyone else,”

In the beginning, we are given an clues to a shooting that happened in the present before we are quickly tossed into the past to see all the moments in between that brought us full circle to that moment. I’m a big fan of the Valentino family and getting more of them was everything. Especially getting to see Theo as a super protective dad who seems to want to shoot first and ask questions after.

“You and me are end game.”

This book had all the elements that I love in my reads and spice that just kept spicing. If you like a bit of darker themes with your hockey, definitely start this series. Up next is the final book of this series and I can’t wait!!

Hockey god meets Mafia princess? Yes please!!

Light it up red is the third book in the Vancouver Knights series. It contains appearances from the Valentino’s so it’s an automatic win for me! The series so far has been Hockey X Light Mafia, and it works so well!

This story is about the charismatic, sweet, romantic, dirty talking NHL player Travis who falls for Liliana Valentino, daughter of the underboss Theo Valentino (who eventually becomes the Don). Travis somehow doesn’t know who the Valentino’s are to begin with, but despite all the warnings from his friends nothing will keep him from his girl, not even when her father puts a gun in his face!

There’s bumps along the road, a major one being Travis waking up in hospital after being shot, and Liliana struggles to cope with her guilt of pulling him into the life of organised crime. Travis had a normal upbringing and she most certainly did not. She loves him but maybe he’s better off without her.

Theres amazing spicy scenes I’d give it 🌶️🌶️🌶️
and great banter between the characters. The Valentino cousins together are brilliant. It’s an emotional rollercoaster from the prologue to the epilogue, that will have you questioning everything.
A great addition to the KK universe!

Travis and Lili meet at one of his games and she goes home with him. When she wakes the next morning he’s gone but his mother is there offering her coffee.

Travis isn’t used to the criminal lifestyle that Lili lives, and this shows when her father holds a gun to his head for being with her.

Their relationship is going strong until Travis is shot in Vancouver while Lili is in New York. She makes it to him but cannot see him like this and decides it’s best to leave him to protect him.

Travis doesn’t agree with this and is trying to convince Lili that they belong together. Lili goes to one of the Knights games to talk to Travis but is kidnapped before she gets the chance to see him. She’s kidnapped by Gray’s uncle.

When she wakes, Lou forces her to sign a marriage certificate and then kills the officiant in front of her. While trying to find a way to escape (all while her family and Travis are looking for her) Lili ends up murdering Lou.

When her family find her they take her home. In the epilogue, Travis is playing his first game as a Knight with Lili there to watch. As the game ends, Travis brings Lili onto the ice and proposes to her.

Review: I loved this book. There were some little details that really pmo however the plot and the characters just had my heart

Travis and Liliana

I always love returning to the Valentino family. This was a much needed dive into Travis and Liliana’s story, which has been going on in the background of several books. I liked that it went back in time and gave the reader a chance to see how their relationship started as well as what happened after Travis was shot.

This was very much an insta love romance with both hockey and mafia vibes. Travis was all in with Liliana from the beginning and never questioned his love for her. Liliana had a lot to come to terms with concerning her relationship with Travis. She never thought she’d fall so fast for someone outside her world and struggled with what bringing Travis into her world could mean for him.

I liked the way this plot progressed. It showed just enough of the events that I’d read in past books to give context to where in the timeline Travis and Liliana’s relationship was taking place. I loved Theo as the overprotective father and Alessandro as the devoted younger brother. I love the way humor is laced through and brings light to the mafia darkness.

Light It Up Red by Kylie Kent is pure adrenaline mixed with swoon-worthy romance! Travis O’Neil, star player for the New York Strikers, is fearless on and off the ice—and that includes going head-to-head with the most dangerous man in the city, Lilianna Valentino’s father, the Don of the New York Syndicate. From the very first page, you can feel the intensity between Travis and Lilianna, and once their worlds collide, there’s no turning back.
What I loved most is how protective, loyal, and unapologetically bold Travis is. He doesn’t care about the power her father wields—he makes it clear he’d take a bullet for Lilianna, even if that bullet came from her own family. The chemistry between them is explosive, the danger is real, and the passion practically jumps off the page.
Kylie Kent delivers the perfect blend of mafia tension, hockey grit, and heart-melting romance. If you love your heroes fearless, your heroines strong, and your love stories filled with fire and risk, this book will completely light you up. I couldn’t put it down!

Light It Up Red is the third book in the Vancouver Knights series and is one of my most anticipated read this year. This book follows Liliana and Travis' story. It is a hockey meets mafia romance. I read this book as soon as it dropped in my Kindle library and devoured it. I finish it in one sitting. Liliana Valentino is the oldest daughter of Maddie and Theo Valentino. Travis O'Neil is a professional hockey player. He is also Alessandro's favorite hockey player. I love both characters! I love that Travis wasn't "scared" of Lili's family and he was all in. I felt for Lili especially towards the last third of the book. I understood the decision that she was making. I always love when the Valentinos make an appearance in other books and there was plenty of Valentinos in this. I also love the relationship between Lili and her dad as well as her relationship with her brother! The plot twist was a surprise but I can surely say that Lili is a Valentino through and through!

I LOVEDDD TRAVIS!! so he’s a hockey player in NYC and sees lilliana at one of the games and instantly falls but he has no idea that’s she’s a mafia princess and he’s basically signing his death warrant for her but he doesn’t care!! they hook up a few times and her dad threatens her a lot but he truly doesn’t care and loves her. he’s so cute with her and love them but then he gets shot (that’s how the second book ends) and lili thinks it was her dad since she was gonna move with travis to vancouver but turns out it was grays uncle who shot him bc he wants lili himself. lili steps away from travis trying to protect him and they r both miserable but then grays uncle kidnapped her. thankfully she saves herself like the dad ass mafia princess she is and they get back together and shockingly her family is pretty ok with it. but we love that travis stands up to her dad and doesn’t care who her family is and now they r living in vancouver and he’s playing with liam and gray

Tropes/Themes: Sports (hockey), dark/mafia,protective alpha MMC, strong family elements, interconnected series, strong FMC, action packed, love at first sight

My Review:
Unfortunately not my favourite story in this series. Some parts felt a little slow but then the ending was rushed. The ending did have a good twist though. I wasn’t too sure how I felt about the past and present timeline, especially where we spent a good 200 pages in the past, watching their relationship build. Liliana and Travis had quite the whirlwind romance, definitely love at first sight. I’m not normally a fan of that aspect in books but considering Liliana’s background and who her family is, it made sense and worked for her. I adored Travis’s parents, they were the sweetest people and I loved that first interaction between Liliana and his mom, even if it was a bit awkward. It was fun getting to see more of the characters from the previous books.

3.75 ⭐️

Okay, so there were several issues, Liliana’s magically colour changing eyes being one of them. But I enjoyed it…
Lili and Travis were cute, the story was decent. It could have done with another edit to smooth out the creases.

Fave bits and highlights

Lili: It will go down as the most awkward walk of shame I’ve ever experienced.
Me: There’s no shame in what we did, Lili.

“What can I do to help you be okay?”

“Don’t you worry your pretty little head. If anyone tries to start something with you, I’ll shoot them,” I deadpan. “I actually don’t know if you’re joking or not, Lili… and why the fuck does that turn me on?”

For the first time in my life, I feel seen. Which is odd, considering I’m used to having all eyes on me all the time.

“We’re friends,” I tell him. “Without friendship, there isn’t much of a relationship, is there?”

A mafia hockey romance from Kylie Kent is just the best and Light It Up Red is another fabulous book from the author.

The protagonist Liliana comes from the Valentino family who has ties to the mafia. She doesn’t really like hockey, but one day her friend drags her to a game, and she meets Travis. Liliana is such a self-confident and strong person, and I liked her a lot.

Travis is a hockey player, and he lives and breathes his sport. And the minute he sees Liliana, he falls hard for her. He is honestly so hot and has some convincing to do and does all of that amazingly. He has so much charm and personality and you can only love him.

The romance was fiery and intense from the start and that made the spicy scenes even better. You also get to see the perfect amount of hockey and the mafia plot adds some suspense and actions and that makes this such a well-rounded story.

You can never go wrong with a Kylie Kent book, and I loved how this book connects into her world and all the little cameos were stunning. Highly recommend this book.

I binge read this in a day. I just couldn't put it down. I loved every single sweet thing about this. 😍
He falls in love with her from the second he sees her, and she's terrified her father will end him for it.
It's actually quite a sweet book. There's angst, but it's never too bad, and it's definitely not particularly dark.
I'm now also so invested in all the side characters from Lili's family that I really want to read all the Valentino books too!

🏒 Ice Hockey Romance
❤️ Mafia
🏒 Insta-Love
❤️ Shooting
🏒 K!dnapping
❤️ Spice

* Whilst it's technically an interconnected standalone, I highly recommend reading Know the Score first. Lili pops up in it quite a bit, alongside Travis, and I do feel it adds a little more to them.

🔞 Aimed at mature audiences.
