It’s springtime, and Tabby figures what better way to unite the town of Crystal Cove than creating a community garden! The problem is, she knows nothing about tending the earth. However, there are several folks in town who have strong beliefs in how to start a garden right—unfortunately, all of these strong beliefs seem to disagree with one another.

Tabby thinks she has it handled when she comes up with a system that makes each group of gardeners feel valued in their plans and opinions, but when one of the most opinionated women turns up dead in the middle of the fresh soil, it seems she has another murder on her hands—and one she feels at least partially responsible for.

Join Tabby, Jay, Aaron, and Sherlock as they investigate and try to get to the bottom of this garden tragedy.

And so we come to the final day of the week. There’s been a lot of ups and downs, mysteries and confrontations but through it all there’s been a community with some growing pains to go through. The series started with the death of a witch and Tabby Chase’s arrival in town and I think it’s fitting that in this final installment she and Jay are solving the murder of another witch as Tabby tries to fulfill her aunt’s dream of brining all the factions of the town together.
It’s a confounding mystery with a lot of red herrings. The solution is elegant in its simplicity and very unexpected. The bonus epilogue was lovely. I’ll miss these characters and their wacky adventures in crime solving but I sure did enjoy each day of the week and the crime that it brought!.

I love Denise Jaden books

I have just finished reading the Tabitha Chase books. They were so good. Denise's books are always fun to read. Her characters are so well developed. I love Sherlock, Tabbie's cat. He wears the cutest glasses and is very intuitive. Tabbie and her sister Pepper are trying to learn about their magical gifts inherited from their Aunt Lizzie. Nothing too witchy or nefarious though. Sometimes in a series where the heroine helps solve murders the plots tend to be alike after a while. Not so in Denise Jaden's books. While they are cozy, light reading, which I like very much, they are so different in the plots. I loved the crossovers with her other two series. If you enjoy cozy, fun to read mysteries, read all three of her series. The other two are the Olivia Ocean series about a cruise photographer turned part time ship's detective who secretly keeps her foundling cat Pickles on board to help solve crimes and the Mallory Beck series about a woman with another amazing cat named Hunch, so aptly named. With the help of their feline companions they are very good at getting to the bottom of the mysteries. I have purchased all three series and would highly recommend them.

This series is amazing and fun with really great characters and it is sad to see it wind up. But, this 7th book in the series is a great final book. Tabby still wants to fulfill her aunt's desire to bring the town together as a friendly coherent group of citizens and so the idea she came up with a community garden. Everyone loves a good garden. Since Tabby knows absolutely nothing about gardening, so she figures those that do, would work together and maybe the more townspeople would be involved. But all good things don't necessarily work the way you think they should when difference of opinions caused heated arguments. And when one of the witches is found dead in the dirt, Tabby, Jay, Sherlock and her sister, Pepper join forces to find a murderer. There are so many twists and turns and dead ends, you must keep turning pages just to get out of the maze and come to a wonderful end. I hope a spinoff is coming with Pepper. She is a fun character. I highly recommend this book and also highly recommend the entire series! I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

I loved this book just like all of the rest of the series! For those of you considering purchasing this book I will not be reviewing the story here (you can read the synopsis) but relating my feelings about the book/series.
Knowing that this was to be the last in the series I noticed that a few overarching themes were answered - for that I am grateful! You never want to leave people hanging with real questions about how things ended or leave them to guess.
The author did a great job over the life of the series bringing characters in and developing them so they made sense where they were in the storyline.
I have to hope that perhaps the author will feel like writing a spin-off on Tabby's sister Pepper that will give us updates on what Tabby did with herself after the fact. What did happen to all the sea glass?
Each book was a standalone but reading them in order helps to follow the overarching themes and know the characters.
I received a free copy of this story and these comments are mine.

Tabby Chase is still trying to make her aunt’s vision of community unity come together. Her latest endeavor is a community garden project. However, immediately there is conflict between the town witches, the church goers, and a wealthy family in town. When Marigold stumbles over the body of the latest queen bee witch, Tabby & Jay have a new case. Could a robbery from a local vet be connected? And will Tabby have to give up on promoting unity?

Tragic Tuesday is the 7th book in Denise Jaden’s Tabitha Chase series. Tabby and her sister Pepper are still exploring their family magic with the help of their cat, Sherlock. Marigold is trying to rehabilitate her image after being involved with other cases. Plenty of suspects will keep you guessing and the bonus epilogue will tug at your heartstrings. Hopefully we will get to revisit these characters as they genuinely feel like friends.

The Final Book in a Delightful Series

Tragic Tuesday is book 7 in the Tabitha Chase Days of the Week Mysteries. Tabby hopes to unite the citizens of Crystal Cove with a community garden. Unfortunately, she knows little about gardening. However, there are many in town that do and Tabby thinks that everyone working together will be wonderful for the town.

She finds that things don't always go to plan an everyone has a different opinion of how things should be done. When someone turns up dead in the garden, Tabby, Jay, Sherlock, and Pepper must work together to find the killer.

The entire series was great and this book was a very satisfying conclusion to the series. I am sorry to see it end and look forward to seeing what the author has coming up next.

Who Killed Barbara Colling ?

Tabby is trying to bring Crystal Cove’s residents together in a common goal of creating a lovely community garden! Unfortunately, everyone seems to have their own individual ideas of how it should be done and working together is impossible. So when outspoken witch Barbara Colling’s dead body is found in the garden, her mouth stuffed with poisonous hemlock leaves, the mystery must be quickly solved before the finger-pointing starts! However, Mick, the local medical examiner, tells them the leaves were not the cause of her death since there was no sign that she had actually ingested the poison. But he would know more when they transported her to the morgue. Tabby and Jay will work together to find the killer as hostilities among the residents begin. Can they prevent another tragedy? Will they find the murderer?

The Tabitha Chase series is honestly the best series I have ever read. I can't believe this is the last book in it. I don't want it to be true. I fell in love with Tabby, Sherlock and her quaint town and its quirky characters from the moment I read the first book. I feel like Tabby has become a part of my family.

Denise Jaden does it yet again with Tragic Tuesday. This book had a very different feel to it, or maybe that was just me feeling bittersweet considering it was the last of the series. I felt extra connected to the characters and Crystal Cove and I hope that we get some more books in this series down the road! The ending actually made me cry and while it was perfectly beautiful, it leaves the door open for more stories to come!

I received a copy of this book for free from the author and I am leaving my honest review. READ THESE BOOKS!

The town has several self-proclaimed experts on gardening, but none of them seem to agree on anything. And when one of them turns up dead, everyone else is looking like a suspect. Time for our heroine to reap some clues and unearth the culprit.

This is book seven of the series, but it is written as a standalone. All the essential bits are covered early on.

This is a cozy with mystery which has become one of my favorite genres. The story is well written and easy to read with an intriguing cast of characters. The plot is solid and all the different issues keep things moving at a good pace. Overall, was an excellent story and I definitely look forward to reading more in the series.

Highly recommended.

Tabby Chase is still trying to bring members of the community together- this time through a community garden

she really did not anticipate how loaded shared garden space efforts are with tensions about placement, seeds versus seedlings, organic or non gmo seeds or plantings or fertilizer and soil

when things get lethal, it seems likely tensions between factions will only increase

an intriguing mix of a discussion about cultural and beliefs clashes, power struggles over seemingly minor issues, and difficulties living with the effects of certain personal choices and beliefs- all that thrown in with sister stuff, magic rocks, and a bit of romance

fun reading and intriguing puzzle solving

Tragic Tuesday is book #7 in the Tabitha Chase Days of the Week Mysteries series by Denise Jaden.

I love this series! Tabby is trying to fill the role that her late aunt did in uniting Crystal Cove through a community garden. Tabby, Jay, Pepper, and Sherlock are wonderful characters that I enjoy spending time with. This was an interesting mystery because of who the victim was and the potential fallout in the town. I was surprised at who the killer was and why. The series wrapped up well and I really hope we get more Tabby, Jay, Pepper, and Sherlock in some form in the future.

A community garden brings different factions of the town together in the same location, but they are anything but together in spirit. Each has their own agenda and someone winds up dead in the garden. Tabby and Jay, along with Sherlock and Pepper, work to uncover the killer before the town is torn apart. Lots of misdirection and a great wrap up. Will Tabby and Jay ever get to go on that official date! Another fun mystery with some really wonderful characters in a great setting. It will keep you guessing.

Bonus epilogue - Big changes are ahead for Tabby. So exciting. Great conclusion.

As the previous books in this series, Ms Jaden has another funny, quirky novel in the town of Crystal Cove in this one. Well paced and full of familiar funny characters, I was sad to see this end. Based similar in form as the previous 6 novels, I still found it highly entertaining and the author was able to keep the guilty party undergrads until just the right moment.
Though I was excited to see another book in the series I was disappointed to see it come to an end. However, I'm looking forward to seeing what previous work this author has done or will do in the future!.

Tabby helps organize a community garden for the town in the hopes of bringing the town and it’s factions together but trouble starts right away over where seeds and seedlings can be planted and the type of fertilizer to be used and how much water to be used even. Then one of the big thorns in people’s sides, known as the queen witch is found dead two days after the garden is planted.

Tabby, Jay, Sherlock and Tabby’s sister Pepper investigate and uncover other clues besides the obvious ones between the witch community and the non witch community. Sherlock as usual sniffs out critical clues and points Tabby to them and when Tabby’s life is in danger Sherlock once again saves the day!

This series has been so delightful to read! I have loved getting to know Tabby, Jay, Pepper, Sherlock and the rest of the gang in Crystal Cove! Tabby knows her aunt was called a witch but she loved her but was forbidden to see her by her parents when she was young. When her aunt died, she came to Crystal Cove to sell the house boat her aunt owned but fell in love with the town and met friends there and decided to stay.

This series is a delightful cozy mystery series of Tabby helping Jay solving murders and finding a
romantic attraction as well along the way.

I enthusiastically recommend not only this book but this entire series for your reading enjoyment. There is excitement and suspense and you have a four footed feline cat named Sherlock who lives up to his named who sniffs out critical clues and is there to save the day when things look very bleak for our heroine Tabitha Chase!

I love this entire series. Unfortunately there are only seven days in the week, so this is the last book of the series. Tabby and Sherlock again assist Jay in helping solve another murder. The characters and plot are wonderful and hold your interest. I absolutely adore the bonus epilogue. Thank you to the author for many enjoyable hours of reading.

The characters are appealing, the mystery is clever, the sleuthing seems a bit tedious in some places, but the community of witches and church goers in Crystal Cove makes for a unique read. Tabby and Jake are the sweetest couple, and of course Sherlock, the cat, ads a delightful twist. An entertaining read!

Brilliant!Tabitha/ Tabby wants to fulfill her Aunt’s wish of bringing the community together. Ideal The whole township it seems have the best ideas on how to go about building a great garden…. Trouble is not one of them agree and when a most vociferous lady winds up buried in the very soil. Jay helps Tabby along with Aaron and Sherlock with solving the witch’s demise. Suspects aplenty they follow clues and misdirection to find the conclusion to the mystery.
