Ok first of all, WHAT?! That ending! Oh my gosh! Anyway, this is the 13th book in the series and I haven’t read any of the others…..yet. But it definitely works as a standalone. There are so many characters in this story and it jumps around from different povs. I loved all the main people, Jim, Katherine, Brent, Amy, Seth, Vanessa and so forth. Commander Gardner made me so mad. I’m trying to be vague here. This is such a great book and very well written! I definitely need to go back and read the others and I hope the next one comes out soon!

Some of the characters include:
Amy and Brent
Jim and Katherine
Vanessa and Seth
Jay
Craig
Quinn
Tristan
Damien
Morenta-bad guy
Commander Gardner

“Can we please go on one mission where someone doesn’t send me up a tree?” Jay asked. “Seems like the enlisted guys should have to do that.”
Seth fought back a smile. “They would….if you weren’t the best spotter in the squad.”
“I hate to break it to you, Jay, but there are a lot of trees where we’re going,” Craig said.
“Thanks a lot.” Jay let out a heavy sigh.

First thing you need to know about this book: it's one of the best books I've ever read!

Suspense fans, this book is about to fulfil all your hopes and dreams in what you want in any good suspenseful novel!!

For anyone following along with Traci's series this book is such a fun mashup of characters from several series. I'm sure it could be read as a stand alone, but why do that to yourself when you have the option to read ALL OF THEM.

'Only two more days, he reminded himself. Two more days and he would have the resources necessary to access whatever information he needed to analyze the threats against his country.'
...
'Where was the Saint Squad? And why hadn't anyone heard from them?'
...
'She might not have her older brothers or the Saint Squad here to guard her back, but she had Vanessa and the other wives. They were smart and resourceful. And three of them had security clearances.'

I've been reading Traci's books for over a decade, okay two decades...and each book feels like Christmas morning when I get to open a fresh book up to page 1. I've grown up with these characters and have such a deep love for the storylines, personalities and loyalties.

This book has it all.

Warning: it may make you want to go back and read her entire backlist, just to relive every book and character scene over again.

I highly, HIGHLY recommend this one!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Content: military/political suspense, military violence and some causalities (nothing overly descriptive), mention of infertility, romance-kisses only.

Review coming. Have to find my heart and put it back together.

Okay now that I’ve had some time to process this book I can talk about it.

This book!!! From start to finish I was hooked. I could not put it down. It was brilliant. Let me say that Abramson can really write those bad guys! Holy moly there was one in particular I wanted taken out so bad! That’s the sign of a quality writer. We already know she writes amazing good guys. Their stories are heartfelt and we feel connected to them. That cliffhanger was so well done! I can’t wait for the next book!

Oh my good gracious!!!! 😱 that ending tho!
She’s done it again! Leading me through the twists and turns that are her books. I thought I knew what was coming. Boy was I wrong!!!!
The emotions I felt were raw and ROUGH. From discussing the pain of not having children to workplace frustrations and politics. She touched on every topic that seems to be a very real part of her readers lives. We finally after years of waiting, get to see President Whitmore ROCK his position. We see old and new friends come together in support of the Whitmore family. And as always we are on the edge of our seats. I finished this book wanting to cry, cheer and pray all at the same time. What a cliffhanger.
Please understand this book MUST be read only AFTER reading the previous books in the series. You will most likely realize it’s not as good unless you have read the others in the series.
Miss Abramson, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to receive an ARC! Thank you for providing an escape from our world. Keep up the amazing work. Looking forward to the next book!❤️

From the very first chapter, all I could think about was the line from Star Wars - “I have a bad feeling about this” and I was on the edge of my seat through the very last word. The suspense wasn’t overwhelming throughout the entire book, just parts of it, but there was a feeling of impending doom permeating the pages.

I’ve followed this team through the course of the series and when a new commander shows up and starts changing things, I was dying a little inside. I know these men and their families well and a dangerous military mission with a lot of things that can go wrong put my heart and soul at risk.

This author is an expert in this type of story and I was fully immersed. I’m desperately needing more, like ASAP!

Content: very mild romance between married couples; many moments of peril/danger

This book is AMAZING!! It is Traci’s best work to date and I promise you will be chomping at the bit to read the next book!

I started this book planning to read a couple of chapters before bed. I absolutely RACED through it! When I had to sleep or work (such an inconvenience 🙄😉) all I wanted to do was finish the story!

Amy and Brent are the OG of the Saint Squad and it was so much fun to visit them and the full squad again!

(This can be read as a stand alone, but it is 100% worth reading the entire series!)

Read this book if you like:

“They won’t be alone. They have each other.”

DISCONNECT is another win for Abramson. She truly knows how to write amazing suspense. This book will stay with me for a long time. It is so well done. The characters are like family. The author does a fantastic job with pacing.

Jim is now President of the United States with threats still lingering. The Saint Squad is battling in and out of the field. There are so many twists and turns, and I loved every second. The ending was as thrilling as the whole book and brilliantly done.

I really enjoyed this book. I have loved all the books in the St. Squad series though they were becoming a bit to “cookie cutter” to me. Then this one was released. The pace was great and the ending….oh my goodness!

This next book in the Saint Squad series had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! Abramson really packs a punch in Disconnect. An emotional roller coaster of ups and downs, I couldn’t read fast enough! In this book, the team faces an old threat with bad memories attached, all with a new commander in charge who doesn’t care about the safety of his people. I wanted so badly for someone to put Gardner in his place (or punch him in his face). And the ending of this book! Gah! Seriously, how am I supposed to live my life now? Abramson once again delivers a fast paced, action packed, emotional story with down to earth characters you will love. There are certain series that completely captivate me, the characters become like family, and you get so emotionally invested in everything that happens. For years, I've been a devoted fan of Traci Hunter Abramson's Saint Squad Series, which follows a Navy Seal Team. "Disconnect" is the 13th book in the series. To be clear, the emotional impact of this book won’t be as strong if you haven’t read the first twelve books. Yes, you can read it as a stand-alone, but the series is definitely worth reading.

Disconnect introduces suspenseful elements such as a new commander (who shall not be named), who disrupts the brotherhood experienced by The Saint Squad, causing tension and endangering their unit. I love to see the bond between these men who are like brothers and willing to sacrifice everything for each other, but it made me truly frustrated as I saw the team being threatened. I felt as helpless as the team and their wives.

"Disconnect" also ties together not only the Saint Squad series but also includes characters from the Guardian series. Jim Whitmore finally is inaugurated as the new President of the United States. The novel intertwines various characters' storylines, such as Amy, Brent, Seth, and Vannesa's career challenges and one couple's heartbreaking struggle with infertility.

The book is packed with intense military scenes, gunfire, explosions, and some utterly shocking moments, especially at the end. The gripping suspense and unforeseen plot twists make it hard to put down. Even with the shocking twists (cliffhanger enters stage right), I loved this book and can’t wait for the next one coming in spring 2025. Traci Hunter Abramson once again delivers a story that will undoubtedly spark discussions for months to come.

Oh. My. Gosh. If you're a Saint Squad & Guardians reader this one will rock your world. All your favorite characters together, killer storyline, crazy plot, politics even I can cheer for, and a character I'm going to have to repent over hating - he was SO warped... I should have known though though that it would be a cliff hanger, arggh! That ending...NOOO! I refuse to believe that's the end!
Waiting for nearly an hour in line for that ARC was well worth it!

“Let me know if you need me to go down and get her.” Charlie grinned. “I have a gun, and I know how to use it.”
Jim laughed. “Thanks, but I’d rather not have my children kidnapping each other this week.”
Charlie let out an exaggerated sigh. “Fine.”

The Saint Squad is back! I love this series, but I’m not going to lie - when I finished reading this book, I kind of hated Traci. 😂 But in the very best way! I don’t know if that makes sense. I just need answers, and I’m impatient! It’s definitely a five star read for me! I read it in two days. I am so attached to these characters. I feel like I know them, and, without giving any spoilers, there was one part that completely shocked me, and I wish I had the next book in the series right now! But I have to wait 9. whole, Months. Sigh. 😔 The main people in it are Amy, Brent, Seth, and Jim, but we get to see so many familiar characters, which I love. The Saint Squad is undergoing some changes, and not all are welcome, thanks to their new Commander. I hope he gets what he deserves!

Oh my goodness. Wow! I am writing this review a week after I finished it, and I'm still thinking about the book. This book really made me feel emotions in every corner of my heart. After reading all of the Saint Squad books, this book is the perfect continuation of their story. From the beginning of the book, the balance of the squad is compromised as changes happen stemming from Jim Whitmore beginning his term as United States President. Brent and Amy are featured more in this book, which I absolutely loved. They are the first couple featured in the series in the book Freefall, so it was so fun to see life from their point of view.

I'm already looking forward to the next book, which I'm told will be released next year. Thank you to the author for the advance copy of this book. A review was not required.

Abramson took me on a thrilling ride through deception and intrigue in this fast-paced novel. I enjoyed delving into a world where secrets lurked around every corner. As the gripping plot unfolded, it left me rooting for justice. I reveled in the strength of characters like, Amy, a fierce civilian intelligence officer who refused to back down, and other memorable characters. I particularly disdained Commander Gardner and secretly hoped for his demise! (I need to repent for those thoughts! Haha.) The ending literally threw me for a loop that I was NOT expecting! Gah! 😩

This thrilling story is book #13 in the romantic suspenseful Saint Squad Series. Each book in this series is wonderfully packed with a fast pace, high-level adventure, great suspense that will capture your full attention, emotions, and heart, as each story is also weaved so beautifully with delightful humor and wit, moving plot twists and turns, tender romance, wonderful friendship, and deep connection. I greatly recommend not just reading this book as a stand alone, but to enjoy the full story in order! You won’t regret it!

DISCONNECT, is unique as it picks up perspectives from characters, that are original characters from book one. This time, the Saint Squad will face an old great threat abroad as well as a new enemy on their home turf as the incoming commander makes sudden and great changes to the program that puts everyone on the team clearly in danger. There will be battles at home for the safety of the team, and for the squad, who departs out to the field to neutralize the threat of a new and deadly weapon, but everyone’s efforts may come too late…

“It still doesn’t seem real to me. But It’s about to become very real.”

@traciabramson oh what a fan I am of this captivating series and this dear suspenseful book of yours! While you so precisely and beautifully, took my emotions, especially at the ending, on quite an emotional roller coaster, I trust you and I am eagerly counting down the time for more! Thank you for sharing your captivating stories with us. It’s the unexpected and crazy twists and turns, that have me deeply hooked and still thinking about what happened, and preparing me for what’s to come. Bravo! This book and series is really worth reading!❤️

What a page turner! I could hardly put this book down, it was action packed from the start and I was so invested!
This is the 13th book of the Saint Squad series, and we see many beloved characters. Our main protagonist's are Brent and Amy, with other POV's from Seth and Jim.
While there is definitely a layer of meaning if you have read all the other books in the series, and I definitely recommend reading Jim & Katherine before hand, you can read this book as a standalone and enjoy greatly! I have not read all the other books in the series, including the previous one about Brent and Amy; and I was able to follow along and still really enjoy the book without feeling like I was missing crucial information or that I didn't have understand the characters.
This book was so intense and exciting! I felt like I was watching a suspense/action/thriller movie and I was up way too late finishing it.
One thing that I especially loved the romance aspect of this book. All the couples featured are married, and they are still in love and working as a team. I love the emphasis that they were all still madly in love, whether they had been together for years, expecting their first child; or still hoping to one have a child all the couples faced and solved problems together and that really made this book special to me.

Wow. Just wow. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book is so wonderfully intense! Disconnect is the thirteenth book in Traci Hunter Abramson's Saint Squad series and I love it so much. Traci gives us POVs from the different members of the Saint Squad with an extra focus on Brent and Amy, but the story isn't confusing or disjointed at all. I loved seeing where each of our couples are in their lives and how they all are still so close as couples and as a squad.

The changes of leadership in the seal teams threw me for a loop, and then I just got more and more frustrated with these changes. The suspense and impending doom grew subtly throughout the novel, and built momentum right down to the last pages. Whew! Talk about an "edge of your seat" read, and not being able to fall asleep after finishing it. Seriously, I'm still finding myself thinking about this book even a week or more after finishing it. That is how fantastic and epic this book is! I don't know how I'm going to wait for the next book in the series...😅

Traci, you rocked this book! 🤩🤩🤩

4.5. Couldn’t put this one down. Not happy it ended with such a cliffhanger, but she’s made sure we all read the next book! I question the lifestyle they’re living in the White House, but I remind myself it’s fiction and I can at least pretend the First Lady has time to make cinnamon rolls and babysit. What do I really know about the White House anyway? Good book overall, just wish I hadn’t read it as a new release when I have to wait for another book before finding out what happened.

Disconnect gave me all the feels. I really enjoyed this novel.

Amy is a strong female lead. I was impressed by her work ethic, her ability to think outside the box, and her aversion to telling people who her father is. Which would have solved a ton of things right away but who wants to name drop like that? Me. I would have. Haha! But Amy is much too strong and capable.
The Saint Squad is an amazing SEAL team. The office drama took up the first half of the book and the seals ended the book with some pretty suspenseful scenes. I won’t give away the ending but I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book.
I need that book a.s.a.p. Traci!

Trigger warning: Infertility struggles.
Content: Kisses only and seals get injured without graphic descriptions.

At this point in the Saint Squad series, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

As Jim begins his presidential term, a new commander of the SEALS makes life difficult for the Saint Squad when he changes things up. Meanwhile an old enemy regroups and becomes a major threat to the US.

Lots of office drama and politics, life changes for many of the Saint Squad, and a common enemy or two constantly causing unexpected problems. As the Saint Squad problems solved while assuming new roles and positions, it is fun to watch them come together and find their new synergy. The ending is a bit of a cliff hanger. I can’t wait for the next book! This is definitely a series you want to read in order.

I love the strength of the women in Traci Abramson’s books. It doesn’t matter if they’re intel, designers, singers, actors, or just really good cooks. They’re all strong in different ways. That’s the mark of amazingly written characters, they feel so genuine and real— I want to be their friends. (Ya know, if they weren’t fictional.)

It’s not often in Traci’s books that you know the bad guy this early on, yet it didn’t take away the tension, it hyped it.

The regular suspense that comes with a spy novel is layered with painful emotions, beautiful moments of faith, the excitement of a presidential inauguration and enough humor to break the heightened tension.

I especially loved that though they’re all married, there’s no lack of chemistry and romance. This book is hard to put down and leaves you aching for the next one.
