predictable, and yet somehow it still made absolutely no sense. if kaneshiro wants me to believe the entire world is obsessed with isagi, he should probably spend more time actually developing him.
5💫 Vol 23; Isagi's Masterclass, Insane Tension, and Goals That Had Me Writhing in Heated Desperation, Inhaling the Heady Scent of Youthful, Testosterone-Laden Alphas (⸝⸝⸝> ▵ <⸝⸝⸝)
Just as amazing as ever—and then some! This volume delivered an absolutely masterful goal from Isagi, proving once again that he’s an absolute beast. He just keeps evolving, and I am living for it. But let’s talk about the tension—Isagi vs. Yukki, Isagi vs. Kaiser… OMG, the intensity! (a long moan escapes my lips)
The pacing? Absolutely insane. I swear I just opened the book, blinked once, and suddenly I was at the last page!! The game's flow is so fluid and dynamic that it feels like witnessing it unfold in real time. Every moment brims with action, strategy, and just the right touch of exhilarating, over-the-top drama.
Would I recommend this? Absolutely. To BL fans (Blue Lock), BL fans (Boys Love), and sports manga enthusiasts alike. Blue Lock continues to deliver, and I’m savoring every moment of it.These young men have my omega heart spiraling into an agonizing heat, utterly consumed by their presence... (,,¬﹏¬,,)
Beautiful volume! Nothing less from our Isagi! And Noel Noa is nothing but majestic in this volume, I am consuming his appearances like a five-star cuisine.
I’m not sorry to say 7 years are added to my lifespan every time Isagi tells someone to shut the hell up, move out of his goddamn way, or to straight up eat shit. especially people who try to intimidate or threaten him. I eat up Isagi’s roasts and taunts every single time.
I think it’s interesting that Ego mentions that Nagi’s goal with Reo’s help in the last volume and the first goal which Yukimiya missed, were both flukes and that in the long run would not be beneficial because they could not be replicated ever again. Something which Isagi caught on to right away in the last volume. He even said to ReoNagi directly right after their goal, “A goal like that was built on things like ‘springtime of youth’” that no more miracles would happen again. and none did thanks to his quick judgment. He read them like a book.
While Isagi does need backup to get him to closer to score and cannot get there on his own, he is able to reproduce the same types of goals with his formulas, even when the method or trajectory of getting there and his trio formation is what changes. We saw he went from Bachira and Nagi, to Rin and Nagi, and now to Kurona and Noel in this match. He is consistent in that his goals are no longer dumb luck, he is constantly thinking, analyzing, and calculating every single detail on the court- even more so since he understood how to use meta-vision. While he continues to expand this new piece of the puzzle, he also needs to improve his body to keep up with the plays he wants to do as he himself notes often. He can imagine how to make it happen but at the level his physical body is at, it can’t keep up. Hopefully we see that improvement soon so he can be a real beast out on the field. He’s already, in terms of strats and logics, THE absolute goat. Him giving Yukimiya is moment to shine after giving him the Barou treatment… I can respect it, bro needed that W.
I just want to say, Isagi absolutely manhandling Kaiser and saying, “How’s that, Kaiser? How does it feel to be the clown of my story?” was everything to me, especially after Kaiser had spent the last couple volumes acting all high and mighty invading his personal space and ruining Isagi’s near goals (I’m still mad about that). Isagi, I am your number 1 fan for that, even more after Isagi basically shut off Ness’s bullshit with, “Looks like Kaiser’s stupid lackey couldn’t understand my last play. Should I dumb it down for you, little boy?” he’s fucking ruthless LMFAO 💀
I also must mention this manga never gets boring (even as I reread matches I’ve already experienced before). I get so hyped for every match and I love that I have absolutely no idea where it’s headed. I think I have it figured out and then it goes in a direction I never would have guessed, like Isagi’s last back-heel pass to Yukimiya. It’s quite impossible for me to not get invested and excited reading this.
Anyway, I miss Bachira, Rin, and surprisingly also Shidou, bro was insane but I can’t say he wasn’t a fun time with all his shenanigans.
reread 3.25 what's really crazy is that this is the most boring of all the NEL matches. i just didn't know what was coming for me. it's harder to read about characters that don't get much more development in this arc (Yukimiya, Reo, Nagi, etc) but Kaiser is still perfect.
original review This match was WILD
Everyone needs to stop being mean to Kaiser because he is literally perfect; I wish I actually cared about Isagi winning; Nagi and Reo that's the tweet
The fact that everyone steals goals from each other and risk so many plays has me stressed!! like I get it, all y'all wanna be strikers, cool. You still have to win though! I'm not the biggest Kaiser fan but when he admits that Isagi gets the better of him its admirable. The ending was too intense!
This was crazily amazing Meta vision of Isagi and his masterplan was the absolute best. I don’t want this to end 😭 I know more chapters will come out but this is too good to finish all volumes today.
Also I love how Isagi and Kaiser are at each other’s throats 🤣
I hated that Nagi went back to Reo and not thinking for himself again. He was evolving sm but I think this will get in his way now. Even though Reo finally got his dream back to play with Nagi and support him, this will only bring both of them down. They are biting more than they can chew.
I miss Bachira and Chigiri already 😭 but I am also excited to see how Isagi will de crown Kaiser 100% on his own as he said.
I love the progress everyone went through KEEP THOSE CHAPTERS COMING!!!!!!!
The detail that Isagi noted about how Reo's unpredictable interference would've prevented him from scoring, but not Yukimiya, seemed plausible, but I was still disappointed that Isagi wasn't able to bathe in his rightfully earned glory. At least this match increased the intensity of Kaiser and Isagi's rivalry since Kaiser is now starting to take Isagi more seriously.
It's okay that Isagi didn't score the winning goal, he was still the MVP of the match...It's okay that Isagi didn't score the winning goal, he was still the MVP of the match...It's okay that Isagi didn't score the winning goal, he was still the MVP of the match...It's not okay that Isagi didn't score the winning goal, even though he was still the MVP of the match...
Absolutely incredible conclusion to the match. This volume was really about Isagi pushing his new abilities to the next level and Yukimiya's struggle to make himself known. I wasn't sure how the author would resolve it but I think he did it in the best possible way. Fantastic. Can't wait to read the next match.
All that just for Isagi to not score a goal and pass to Yuki 🙄 I'm mad. And him calling Ness Kaiser's boy toy was everything 💀 but fr why are you going that hard for this man 😭

la rabia que me da que nerfeen a reo porque hay que darle protagonismo a nagi como genio??? onda está al nivel de visión de isagi?? yo no elegí ser neo apologist, simplemente nací superior
