Short Stories for and by those of us who never grew up
An impossible love Eustace is as rogue as a little potato can be and the cat is a bit flaky and has a tendency to disappear, so there is no future for them. But maybe, you are a bit of a rogue yourself and would like to learn How to Rob a Candy Store or are curious about that mysterious place where Superheroes go to die?
Whatever your interest, the Wordthreads Authors will transport you to faraway worlds or make you disappear - watch out for Ben’s Pen! - move and inspire you with aspects of love, mystical meditations and esoteric flashes.
Alternatively, sit by the fire and read their Christmas stories, accompanied by a steaming cup of hot chocolate or a glass of mulled wine.
A collection of pieces from a range of writers is never going to be easy to review. But there is a charming warmth about the writing of Maggie Bannister. What she conveys is vivid, imaginative, and beguiling, whether it be the tale of a rogue potato or the opening of presents on Christmas day. There are, of course, other writers within this collection with many different styles and subjects. Amongst those, I preferred Robert Greener and Janet Cuprit for their imagination. But it doesn't stop there. Want some non- fictitious info on religion, or a bit of sci-fi? Or a journey from poverty to hope? This truly eclectic collection is bound to float at least part of your boat. Give it a whirl!
