This book had me hooked from start to finish!!! I loved Pete Browns character and the tidbits about small town life in Florida. You really start to learn what it’s like to live in a surfing town and get to know all the small town characters. This was such a fun read and I can’t wait to read the next Pete Brown mystery!!

A Wonderful Adventure
Angie Ross writes an intriguing mystery. There was a lot going on in this story that switched from each characters point of view. This was an advantage that helped in understanding what happened to the murder victim. Pete is a great character that you can't help but root for. In looking for the truth Pete becomes a P.I. which turned out to give him some advantages needed in the case. A very entertaining and unexpected storyline. Author, Angie Ross did a great job in her first mystery book. Looking forward to reading more about Pete Brown and his adventures.

Both entertaining and thought-provoking, Ross draws readers into the vibrant world of Beach Island with her storytelling. Her characters are well developed and crafted with care, inviting readers to form their own unique impressions of each member of the community. As a Florida native, I was enthralled. The book beautifully showcases a deep love for community, nature, and The Real Florida. Mystery lovers, don’t miss this compelling read!

I struggled to finish
Pete struggled to stay focused. He has several things from his past haunting him, but whatever they were, the author didn't explain them well. Or maybe I skipped over that because I became bored.

Good story...
... but it's major appeal is to teenage girls and board bunnies. Still, it's well crafted and intricate enough to keep you guessing
