First of all thank you to the publishers and Booksprout, for an ARC, in exchange for an honest review,

The Wordsmith is book 13 in the DI Erica Swift series, and somehow manages to go from maintain the pace, although this one seems to have eased off a little as a personal opinion.

`The subject matter - someone is recreating murders from the books of a a best selling author. A different idea for a book, which works well, although personally the murderer was fairly obvious.

DI Swift and DS Turner work well together, but it will interesting to see where this goes next!

Erika is pregnant and is having to navigate with her new situation at work and at home. Her newest case involves searching for a serial killer who stages his murders exactly in the same way they are described by a best-selling author in her books, and then, the author disappears. There is a good plot, lots of action, twists and turns that will keep you reading to understand the driving force behind the killer.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

DI Erica Swift is back in The Wordsmith book thirteen. From the murder mystery and suspense to the captivating story and true to life problems Erica deals with this is a page turning addition to the series. If you have ever read a MK Farrar book then you know you will need to set aside time to read this because you will not want to put this book down until the last page. If you haven't read an MK Farrar book I recommend you start this series from book one The Eye Thief and get ready to read a captivating series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

REVIEW

For any book reader, or crime thriller lover, this book hits too close... CREEPY AF...

Erica has her hands beyond full with this one because her home life is also on fire.

They must find this killer before another is taken out. But can Erica fix or solve issues with Sean?

Absolutely frightening story but so dang good.

I’ve loved all the Erica Swift books but this latest one didn’t engage me as much as the previous books. The perpetrator became obvious quite early but it all seemed hurried and not explored properly to me. I’ll stick with this series as all previous books were 5🌟

From a slow beginning.

A triumphant ending. Beautifully written episode of this first class series. Clergyman in its subject matter, but still in the politically correct language that is now expected.

Every plot in this series is unique, twisty and fast paced. I have two books left in the series and I’ll be so sad when it ends. I know the characters so well and really look forward to seeing how it’s all pieced together

I've read and enjoyed all the previous Erica Swift books but this I found really hard going. Very slow and not very interesting characters.
