This book tells the tale of a Dominican Republic boy who grew up in slums with his siblings and a single mother. The book talks about how Alex had an immediate love for baseball and led him to attending high school in Orlando, FL and becoming the biggest baseball prospect in the nation. This book was alright but it didn't go in to detail much on any subject besides his time in the MLB. If you are an Alex Rodriguez fan and looking to read a biography of him I would look elsewhere before reading this.
