For the first time, this book offers Paran Maps and Star Phases for over 60 stars; new insights into the natal use of fixed stars, as well as their use in mundane astrology; extensive appendices of Heliacal Rising and Acronychal Settinggraphs and tables so that, for any given location, the dates of these risings and settings can be found; a list of 176 stars with their 21st century Ptolemaic precessed positions versus their commonly-considered positions based on Ulugh Beg's methods.
Loved this book, as it provided a way of working with the fixed stars as if they were planets in astrology. Or, not planets, but elements of a tremendously complicated story. Well explained astrological concepts underlined with easy-to-follow mathematics and storytelling tools. I really grooved on this book.
The fixed stars are often a small part of a person's chart, but occasionally, in the case of exception people particularly, they are incredibly indicative of the person.
Great book that goes over most fixed stars in depth. Uses frequent examples. One should note this is a different method than other astrologers use, like Diana Roseburg who uses fixed stars location as projected onto the ecliptic
