Not as good as the first one, but still highly enjoyable. I loved the family history stuff, because that is something that I am interested in. Would totally recommend.

I'm not sure what to say about this one. Kate's adventures continue. She can't seem to avoid getting in major accidents. For a second I thought we were going to have a repeat of the first book. Thankfully that didn't happen. Though Kate's friend who was a bad influence on her ends up dying. This is meant to show to youth the dangers of drugs and alcohol. The judgement continues as Kate tries to get her life on track. It's filled with cringeworthy judgy moments that are later rectified Leave it to Beaver style. Oh and Kate just attracts guys like no ones business. By the last half of the book they are in college. Kate's best friend ends up with one of Kate's many boyfriends, and she is married at 19 which if done in a better way I might have been more on board with. This one was a miss for me.

In this novel, Kate has now returned home from the family vacation that went longer than originally planned. She now has to deal with her friends and past friends and try to convince everyone that she really has changed. During her rebellious years she hurt a lot of people's feelings, and forgiveness seems to be hard for her to get. Her best friend and ex-boyfriend seem determined to show Kate that she hasn't changed at all and should still be a party girl.

This book deals with the dangers of drug abuse, teenage drinking, and peer pressure. It also addresses forgiving those who have hurt you and allowing others to have second chances. There is also some romance.

I read this book again this week, and I was amazed at how much I did not remember of the story! I love the authors way of providing an accuate perspective of how hard it is to grow up and make grown up decisions. Fun to reminise on how much I don't miss those days.

I enjoyed that the book moved along and was fun to read.

I really enjoyed Kate's Return. It wasn't AS good as Kate's Turn but it was great to have the follow up and it was still a very good book!! I'm looking forward to reading more of the series!!
