Don’t let your ex stop you from finding you nexxtttt!!! I’m sayyyinngggg why did Lady Marie show out like this!!!!!! The way Gideon had me blushing throughout this book was about to start a whole argument in my household 🤣🤣🤣

Yo, this read was a whole vibe! 🔥 Miss Hazel was trying to hold on to Sinna for dear life, although she knows her son ain't ish! 👀 I wondered why she was so hell bent on getting her son's ex to come to Thanksgiving dinner; cause where they doin' that at? Well.....
Sinna meeting Golds was electric. Although they were going at it tit for tat, the chemistry came through loud and proud! NOW, when we find out the family dynamics, and how Golds is interconnected, you know it's about to be some ish! But don't fret Golds BDE was shining through, and no one was going to harm his Sinnamon! 😂 They was wild as hell though for the antics in Mama Hazel's house! 🤯😂😂 I would love to see this couple again. But then you find out the man you met at the market, the man you flirted with, is your ex's cousin and you see him at this dinner and you couldn't be more perfect for each other. Now, you ex actually came and you're sitting in front of him while his cousin is fingering you under the table??? WHIT, YOU WROTE THAT!!!

Sinna and her ex, Vontae have been broken up for several months. Despite the split, Sinna has a mother/daughter bond with his mom, Ms. Hazel and apparently can put her ankles in a sweet potato pie. Ms. Hazel really wants Sinna at Thanksgiving dinner, even telling a little white lie to get her there. Still Sinna declines the invitation thinking it’d be in her best interest to start distancing herself from Ms. Hazel. That is until she meets a sexy stranger who she’s nicknamed Golds in the grocery store. After a very brief and intense flirt session with said stranger, Sinna dips out without a name or number but reconsideration for attending Thanksgiving at her ex’s mother’s house.
Gideon has lived out of state for a little while and has missed a few family holidays during this time. Thanksgiving is at his Aunt Hazel’s house and the only reason he’s attending is because his disloyal a$$ cousin won’t be in attendance. Imagine his surprise when he arrives to find the thick mama he met at the store making pies in his aunt’s kitchen. Everything’s good until the one person who wasn’t supposed to be there shows up. Oooh this was a messy Thanksgiving short and I loved every minute of it! The author's writing the Christmas shorts, please take note.
Sinna had been broken up from fboy Von for about 5 months, after being with him for 2 years. His family has become her family and now she is forced to spend Thanksgiving alone, well that was her plan anyway. She goes to the market to get the ingredients for her dinner and her famous sweet potato pies, but runs into the finest man she has seen in a long time and the Golds in his mouth have her mesmerized. In a short time they give each other a run for their money, I enjoyed their banter but Sinna left it at that. Golds aka Gideon knew that he had fumbled the girl he met at the market and vowed to make her his, if they crossed paths again. Little did he know Sinna was the ex of his disloyal cousin Von. Insert the messsss, yessss! When Sinna decides to go to Thanksgiving at Von's mothers with the understanding that he will not be there, little did she know Golds would be there and it was going to be juicy and messy! Sinna gave Von a BIG f-you and showed interest for his cousin right in front of the family. Chillle speechless you hear me.

DNF@50%. Bro, the synopsis fooled me into thinking this would eat but nah, it just took an extremely predictable streak. Homegirl has zero decorum, the guy’s boring as hell, and the ex’s family? Needy, dramatic, and copy-paste basic. I tried to give it a chance, but when sis accepted money as an apology? Yeah, I clocked out.

Honey, Gideon/Golds is something else! That dinner table scene? Whew! Sinna and Gideon's banter was cute, and Sinna definitely got her revenge in style. The chemistry between Golds and Sinna was off the charts. I’m glad she got her lick back.

Okay Sinna cause I loved her. She was just a great character period! But Gideon gave BDE and def book bae. I loved them together and I’m glad they didn’t care about the ex cause he was very much irrelevant. I wish the story was longer though so I could see more of them past thanksgiving and how their relationship progressed.

This novella gave me everything I needed to give it a 4 🌟.

This was a perfect fun holiday novella and as messy as promised! I really loved Sinna and Gideon and the energy between them was delectable! Highly recommend this if you’re in the mood for something quick and sexy and full of family drama~
