It's so good to be back with Jack and Sarah. This was a unique mystery in the series. I kind of figured out what was happening but I had a couple of guilty parties who weren't guilty of what I thought. Still, that's what makes a good mystery--you can figure it out, but you might not get everything right or they might totally trip you up with a red herring. I want to say so many things about the story, but I really can't without giving things away.
Each time I see another book for this series, It's a joyful surprise. The story may not be very long but it is time well filled. (A great escape) Always fun watching Jack and Sarah drawn into another case. I love their comaradory and ability to work so easily together, and with the people connected in their pursuits. They are "people" persons, able to start conversations with anyone and able to read weather or not it is a lie or truth or hiding something that is being said. Keep on writing Matt and Neil. You add a lot of Joy to my day!
There were a lot of twists in this one and a pretty exciting climax at the end. I would love to visit Cotswolds! The ending was interesting and not totally sure whether I liked it all or not but overall it is more of the same from the dynamic duo of Sarah and Jack.
Another great 'case' for Jack and Sarah. It seems almost everyone in Cherringham has a secret and Jack and Sarah may have to expose a few to find who has stolen the Cherringham Chalice.
Lukijana Neil Dudgeon.
A good book to listen too when you clean the house. It gives you ”Midsomer murders” wibes. It is fun to try to figure out how the guilty person is. Jack is a retired cop from US, Sarah is a singel mom and they solves crime together. This one was about a mystery.
