Deep-Space Disco is another colorful and exciting adventure in the life of Stone Rabbit. I don't know how trouble can so easily find this racially rabbit, but it does. The cool thing about Stone Rabbit is that no matter what situation he finds himself in, he seems to be able to handle himself. In this book, Stone Rabbit finds that his extensive experience as the reigning champion of the video game Arcade Robot Fighter XXVII helps him battle in the Vlarpaxen. Who knew that playing video games could be helpful?
Erik Craddock knows how to create colorful, action-packed graphic novels that Early Chapter Readers, especially boys, will love to read. The intensive colors leap right off the page while the plentiful action will keep the very young reader turning pages with a smile on their face.
As a youth, I read a lot of comic books, like Richie Rich and Archie, which lead me to the love of reading that I have today. Whatever works, is my motto. If you have a young child that just doesn't like to read, it may be that you haven't found the right kind of book for them. All it takes is one book, just one book, to be bitten by the reading bug. The trick is finding that one book that they will love and want to read over and over again. Stone Rabbit books may be just the ticket.
Overall, Deep-Space Disco is another great story featuring Stone Rabbit in his latest adventure. Early Chapter Readers will be fascinated by the action and mesmerized by the colors. I wonder what kind of adventure Stone Rabbit will have next? I'll bet it is as exciting as the ones he has had before. In fact, you can be guaranteed of that.
This book is about a rabbit who is simply playing a game with his two friends at a diner. He tells his friends that he is going to the restroom, but he instead comes across another bunny that looks just like him. Little did he know that the bunny he came face to face with is actually the evil bunny, Melvin. The evil bunny then gets the good bunny abducted and sent to a far away galaxy, while he stays on planet earth to destroy it and everyone on it.
Stone Rabbit and his friends are playing a strategy game (very much like Risk). Rabbit leaves to take care of some business when an alien rabbit that looks just like him beams Stone Rabbit up and ships him off to a planet in outer space. Stone Rabbit is accused of destroying many planets but is able to escape just in time to save Earth from the ravages of his imposter. Very cute.
Goofy fun that made me laugh. "You can't have plasma rifles and hover elephants in the 14th century!!!" "Well, technically this game is set in a parallel universe. And since Henri moved all of his experience points to his intelligence meter, his army was able to develop that technology." Totally reminded me of Big Bang Theory type humor! Love it.
I enjoyed reading about the space adventure the main character (such as Long Ears) has, as well as trying to escape from a inter-galactic prison after being framed. He meets many different aliens. But since they're all galactic criminals, they're not so friendly. Not only he has to get back to Earth, Long Ears must also go through many monsters and guards!
Another wild ride from the floppy-eared flunky with the worst luck in history, and pre-history, and post-history apparently as he gets caught up in a futuristic farce. Galactic meanies, clueless earthlings, space cops, and deadly smoothies for everyone.
This series is wonderful for my 5 & 7 year old dudes. Lots of action, interesting and funny dialogue, but not so much text as to be overwhelming. Very graphic-heavy, quick reads to help us feel accomplished.

I read this book out loud in one sitting to a four-year-old who sat still through the entire 70+ page book. It's heavy on the graphics and goes by fast!
