About the author

After earning a degree in journalism from Ohio University, Sharon found the stories inside her head were more interesting than what was going on in the world around her. Yet, it wasn’t until years later that she decided to pursue her secret dream of writing a romance novel. Since then she’s been published in romantic suspense, paranormal romance and contemporary romance and historical romance.

Sharon’s other job descriptions include chauffer, laundress, cook and mediator to her three very busy kids, her husband and two dogs. She lives in southwest Ohio with her brood although her dream is to someday retire to St. Maarten and live on the beach.

From the moment I started I knew I would not be able to put this book down!! I was instantly hooked with the mysterious disappearance of a local girl and the best private investigator on the case, Lillian Byrne! I’d be remiss not to mention Mr. Rossi and how he has now become one of my new favorite “book men”! 😍 I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

Promise Me

It's been way too long between Sharon Cullen reads for me. Once I started reading this story I remembered why I have previously read every book she has written. Sharon has a way of pulling me into the story and her characters lives with both strong female and male leads and her stories are realistic. I didn't want Joe and Lily's story to end and felt a little sad at reading the words "The End".

I never read about the prohibition era but I’m so glad I picked this book up. The characters are relatable, the plot moves swiftly yet not too quickly. The plot twists and turns keep you on your toes. And Joe Rossi… need I say more 😍

Love this era, love Cincinnati…
After finishing several “smutty” books recently, I have to say it’s extremely refreshing to feel the tingles and chemistry in this story through precious, tender moments instead of through wild and intense scenes. This relationship grew beautifully. Can’t wait to read the next book. @Netflix -- make this a series!
