I have yet to try more than a few of the recipes from this book, as I don't own it, but it has been fun to read about the different restaurants in Boston and the chefs who own them. Also interesting are the notes on different neighborhoods in Boston and their contributions to the local restaurant scene. I don't think the attraction of this book would necessarily hold for non-Bostonians, but the recipes are interesting and for the most part not too difficult.
