Ah, love. A many splendored thing. Here is a rather unusual love story, sweet and strange as could only happen in the post-magical reality of the Indigo Springs "event." The sequel to Indigo Springs was published in April. Here's a tasty tale to tickle a reader's fancy. Author A. M. Dellamonica is writing lots more terrific new fantasy, having just agreed to write three novels set in the world of "Among the Silvering Herd."

We're thrilled!

Short sweet and the perfect length for the plot.
I really enjoyed how organically the plot developed and this little taste made me curious to see what Dellamonica can do with a full length story.

“Met a guy online who’s using the magical outbreak as an excuse to develop a Greek temple. Says the old gods are coming back to get us.”

1.5 stars.

Oddly bizarre tale of a swamp man and his slowly transforming human lover, who has been 'magically contaminated'. I don't know exactly how I feel about this. It's not completely a one star nor is it a two star. But I liked the swamp man. But seriously the whole thing is just utterly bizarre in a nutshell.

But he was magic. Contaminated. He had to go, or I’d never get my old life back.

A novella set in the world of the Astrid Lethewood duology (Indigo Springs and Blue Magic).

I found it an interesting read. It doesn't give us characters that we know, but I think that is fine. It gives us a glance into what it was like to those people that became contaminated by magic. Maybe I would have liked a bit more of an overview of the world after the events of Indigo Springs, and in places I felt the flasbacks could have been deepened out or smoothed out better. Sometimes I felt like where is the rest of this flashback?

I am very intrigued by this world where magic is slowly/not so slowly infecting everything. There's an obvious Swamp man vibe to this short, and the language is delightful. Bonus points for being set in my home province :D There's not a lot of plot to Wild Things, but it does make you want to seek out more books in this universe just to explore all the weird things that are happening!

It failed to engage me as other stories by her have. For me, not very interesting and a bit cheesy.

An appetizer for the rest of this world taken over by a magical environment run wild.
