So beautiful and eye opening. Ecclesiastes has always been confusing to me, the repetitive use of the term “everything is vanity.” I was so caught up in this phase that I couldn’t focus on the other lessons this book had to offer. But as soon as she explained the phrase; I was able to see the whole picture that this book is panting. I don’t think I’ve learned more from a Bible study.
She explains everything extremely well, especially considering how hard this book is to understand. I will definitely be reading her other book. I wish she had made more studies. The way that she uses cross references is mind twisting. The way she thinks is remarkable.
I used to say that “useless, useless, everything is useless!” was my favorite Bible verse (found it in the Bible meme game), but now it very well could be. I was so irritated that I could understand it, but now it’s brought a life altering mindset to my life. I’m so grateful that this study helped me understand it.
I’m so grateful that I stumbled across this book. It been such a blessing in my life and has helped me do some hard things in my life. God truly placed this in my life for a reason. I honestly don’t think I will be the same after reading go this. I can’t stress this enough: go read this book! I promise, you will not regret it.
First book of 2026! But truthfully, I started this Bible Study in summer of 2024. It’s never too late finish, and I decided to on 2nd of January.
I loved this study because I love the book of Ecclesiastes. It broadened my understanding of it and it was a beautiful journey along the way even though I took a VERY long break from it. Hooray! It’s done! ✅
4.5⭐️ not technically a book but a Bible study, but it was such a good one. I really loved it. Very good at explaining Ecclesiastes, was a confusing book to me before
I truly enjoyed this devotional that took a deep dive into the book of Ecclesiastes! I long for the promised eternity spent with Jesus because as the title says, eternity has been placed in our hearts. God used this study to reveal valuable things to me, whether it was a sinful tendency I needed to let go of or a lesson about God’s sovereignty.
“When all passes away, God remains…. At the end of the day, following God is what counts. It is what matters most and what gives everything else meaning.”
I usually go straight into the word, rather than use devotionals, but I really appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed this one because it gives wonderful guidance on drawing out what is in the text, and how the ideas or words relate to one another. With well-placed exercises, questions, and ways to organize what you notice in scripture this guided tour of the book of Ecclesiastes will strengthen your study skills of the Bible.
