THOUGHTS: I haven't read a Hallie Bennett novella in a good long while! I'm glad I decided to pick this one up as an ARC. I do wish there was a little more chemistry between the main leads, but other than that I really enjoyed it.

Grim (H), a burly military veteran managing Club Wolf for the MC, and Amelie cross paths at the vet, and seemingly start to connect, but he's blown away when he realizes she's performing in the burlesque show. He becomes determined to protect his "curvy little goddess" when accidents threaten the club and its dancers, though his overreaction about her possibly being sick and outing her to her friends was kind of funny. Grim offers unwavering support and encouragement for Amelie's struggles with her anxiety and past put-downs as curvy woman, and her dreams and love for dancing. Plus, you have to love a man with a sweet dog, Tiny. Sweet and spicy MC quickie romance with plenty of heat, emotional turmoil, and little bit of danger (to the club).

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

Amelie is a good girl, all her life she has been bullied for her weight, this causes her lots of anxiety and anxiety attacks. But once a week she secretly sheds her good girl skin and becomes Velvet Venus and preforms during burlesque night at the strip/gentleman’s club owned by the MC. Grim is exmilitary and current MC member. He oversees the club and his sister uses her business degree to run it. She is excited for him to see her new addition of the burlesque night, when he sees Velvet on stage he feels an immediate draw to her. As he gets closer to the stage he realizes he knows her.
The two meet earlier at the veterinarian’s office. She takes in her cat and he has bought in his dog, he felt a connection to her there but did not ask her out. He goes after her once her set is over. He tells her she should not be dancing for a bunch of guys in the club, she should be dancing only for him. They share a sweet kiss.
The next day Grim arrives at the club which is having some mishaps, a bunch of the waitresses are sick, the dancer’s costume are having mishaps. He gets brothers from the club to help and remembers that Amelie was at the club and he’s very worried she has gotten sick. When he can’t reach her he panics. But remembers she is friends with the club prez’s wife so he heads to the club. Imagine his surprise when she’s at the club with her friends, Grim inadvertently spills her secret about the dancing by asking if she was ok after being at the club. Her friends ask why she was at the club, she explains and they all think it’s great she dances and are very supportive.
Things start to heat up between them as they talk but another mishap at the strip club sends Grim back there. They meet up again and Amelie gives Grim a very sexy private dance that ends in them both finding satisfaction after dry humping.
Grim had given her an idea of opening her own dance studio and her cousin who owns a yoga studio offers her place for a trial class. It goes so well that she quits her job and opens an inclusive dance studio.
Amelie and Grim spend more time together and finally have their first time together, she’s a virgin, no real mention of his past.
More drama at the club with a fire. They put together that it was one of the dancers, Star was responsible. She is half sister to Tiffany from Snow’s book. She was the club bunny he throws out. She stole Star’s boyfriend and money so Star decided that the MC should pay for what she did. She’s attested and thankfully no one was hurt in the fire.
Amelie’s dance studio is a hit and she finally has everything she could hope for, a job she loves and a man she loves who just happens to love her back.
Would have loved an epilogue or something showing them together months or years later. It end with a HFN.

Grim recognizes her from the vet's office and is absolutely captivated by her curves and performance. He never thought he'd meet a woman like her, but now that he has, he's become ultra possessive. Amelie is confused but thrilled at the same time. A big, muscled, bearded and tatted MC rider interested in her? She has a hard time believing it. But believe it she does when he catches up to her leaving the club out the back door and slams into her with a devouring kiss. He makes his interest quite clear.

Strange, dangerous and unfortunate incidents begin happening at the club, and a mystery unfolds. Who's behind the problems? They go from simple sudden minor illness attacks to an all-consuming fire. They have to find the perpetrator before somebody gets seriously hurt or dies.

This is a story of a basically shy, curvy young woman whose self-confidence is raised by a big teddy bear of a biker. There's mystery, mild violence and sweet, spicy romance. Good story. Great writing.

Oh this story. I could so completely relate to Amelie. Living a normal, boring life, being overweight, always thinking you aren’t really good enough. Yet, deep down inside is this secret person who is just more, more adventurous, more outgoing, more sociable. For Amelie, and she does it by dancing in the burlesque show. Somehow she’s internalized all those negative views about herself, they’ve created an invisible strait jacket that has limited how she lives. But dancing in the burlesque, that’s the first time she steps outside her comfort zone. When she meets Grim in the vets office, she thinks he’d never be attracted to a curvy, boring woman like her, boy is she wrong. Grim is absolutely mad for her.

Hallie Bennett builds these incredible worlds for her characters. Her characters aren’t two dimensional, they all have flaws, hopes, dreams, and baggage to work through. The plot, in this case a string of mysterious accidents are threatening the club, work to drive their relationship. Grim already KNOWS, I always love when Bennett makes her MMC fall hard and fast first, it’s so much fun watching him court and woo his woman. Especially amid miscommunications, misunderstandings, a bit of violence and suspense, and some low self-image for them to work through. But they do, how they do it, is never the same way for each couple. That and how her characters, especially her female characters, are so relatable. Which is what makes all of her books so special.

As this was the third book in the series and I hate reading in the middle of the series- I sped read the first two. They are just as awesome as this one. OMG! I love this series. I can’t wait for the next book! They are just so romantic and steamy and hot! Total yum. I was shocked that Amelie was living two lives. I was also impressed. Amelie becoming Velvet Venus, the burlesque dancer and no one knew of her friends? That she did this once a week to prove to herself she could at Club Wolf, which were run by the MC. Georgia is Grim’s sister and they both run Club Wolf and some of the MC act as bouncers etc. This book made me feel that as a big woman, I can do anything just like Amelie. It made me feel really good about myself. I also loved how the author showed about anxiety and anxiety attacks, as I live with that now. My father is agoraphobic and he has had panic attacks for most of my life. I’m glad that people are beginning to talk about things like this. I love Mabel, Amelie’s fur baby. Don’t get me started on Tiny. I keep laughing over the dog’s name. Because that is the one thing the dog is not. Lol. A lot of things are happening at the clubs that the MC owns. Weird things. The book runs the gamut of emotions- or at least it made me feel them- from giggling, chortling and laughing, to squeeing, to being mad enough to see red and wanting to hit a punching bag. I loved this book and I’ll wait… impatiently for the next. ^_^.

Grim is a hunky, ex-military man who is now the co-manager at Club Wolf. The two first have their meet-cute at a vet's office when Grim is taking his dog Tiny in while Amelie has her cat Mabel. They are forced to share the only double seat and hit it off. Imagine his surprise when he sees sweet Amelie as Velvet Venus when he works Burlesque night for the first time. They both see and accept each other for who they are, flaws, and all. OMG, the chemistry between these two was pure fire 🔥. As they spend more time together, they bring out the best in each other. But someone is targeting the club. Can Grim keep her safe? I just loved this couple so much. I saw so much of myself in Amelie and loved that Grim gave her confidence to pursue her dreams and was her calming force. Grim is just a big old cinnamon roll!! And they got a very happy ending. I loved it and can't wait for Timber's story.

I really enjoy this series.  This latest book is fantastic.  It centers around Grim/Grayson and Amelie who we’ve heard mentioned in other stories as she’s part of the book club the other women are in.

I love the growth that Amelie had in the story.  She suffers from crippling anxiety, but she found a way to get past that when she dances, so she moonlights as a Burlesque dancer at the gentleman’s club owned by Grim and his sister, Georgia.  He hadn’t ever been to the burlesque night, as it’s newer, so he had no clue she was a dancer there, but he did recognize her from the book club.

He is super, super supportive and totally an alpha and I was here for it.  He made sure she had what she needed and encouraged her a lot.

Their steamy scenes were hot, dirty and fantastic. 😉

I recommend starting the series from the beginning, but definitely read this one. It’s so good! ❤

Amelia had a secret she didn't want anyone to know about. She danced during the nights at the club when it was Burlesque night. She could be the dancer she always wanted to be.
Then one day she had to take her cat to the vey she sat next to this guy she recognized from the club but was to shy to even talk to him. They introduced themselves but that's were it stopped until it was Burlesque night and Grim was watching Venus her stage name dance. He was blown away and knew that was gonna be his woman. He followed her out of the club and let her know how much he wants her. She had thought about him since the vet visit.
Grim was very protective of her and when he found out she always wanted to be a dancer he told her she could do it and be behind her all the way.
Amelia quit her job and pursued her dream of being a dancer. She was the teacher who taught dance and everyone no matter their size could join with no judgement like she did growing up. Grim was there the whole way, backing her up with her dreams. She had her dream job and had her dream man. Who would have thought all her dreams came true.

I felt a little sorry for Amelie when her secret was accidentally revealed because I think it made her feel a bit special and something that she had all to herself, though the way Grim stormed into the clubhouse to vent his frustration with Amelie not picking up her phone was a bit funny and moving at the same time. Amelie is not a very confident young woman and only feels sexy when she adopts her other persona, Velvet Venus, when she dances at the club. I loved how Grim made her see that this was just two sides of the same coin and that she was both Amelie and Velvet rolled into one, all she had to do was tap into her alter ego. Despite his name, Grim was a teddy bear with a heart of gold. His never-ending support, encouraging Amelie to reach for her dreams was only bested by the way he made her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. The drama at Club Wolf adds a bit of danger to the mix, making Grim even more protective of Amelie, though the explanation of the culprit behind it all didn’t make much sense and seemed to be added just to tie up loose ends.

To everyone else she is a quiet good girl but when she takes the stage on burlesque night at the MC’s club she is the sexy Velvet Venus. Not only does she keep the attention of everyone there but also snags the attention of Grim, one of the Reaper’s Wolves members.

Grim is captivated not just by Amelie’s sexy persona but also her shy quiet side. He wants all of her not just the goddess on stage. While he tells her he is all in and she is his, Amelie has a hard time accepting that. How can this handsome bearded man want her? And not just Velvet Venus but all of her.

While Amelie is working through how she feels about a relationship with Grim, a string of incidents has happened at the club where she dances. They all start adding up to more than coincidence, but who is behind it?

This is a great story about accepting all parts of yourself and taking a chance on what and who you love. It’s about the love and support of women friend groups and of course amazing spice with dirty talking bikers. I can’t wait to continue the series!

As they say goodbye, neither knows they'll meet again or that it will be in the last place they expected!

I was pleasantly surprised by the way the authoress deals with a serious social problem
but also keep her story filthy, sexy, passionate full of steam and desire.

Where he sees an intelligent, talented and gorgeous woman
she sees a little girl whose manners, attitude and behaviour doesn't fit into social acceptable norms.

And there lies THE problem for too many people struggling to be true to themselves but also live in a "society acceptable way".
The only thing they achieve is a "disconnect".
We can't be put into boxes,
we can't please everyone
we can only live by our standards and hope we will find a partner who will say to us:
"You are exactly what I want baby. You are just perfect for me!"
And real friends who support and encourage us.

I am so in love with this series. These girls seem shy but they are so full of fire and bravery.
The Reaper Wolves MC is full of hot alpha former military men. They are protective, domineering, and possessive. Total opposite of the original book club girls.

One of the MC members; Grim, runs the MC’s night club along with his sister.
Amelie is shy, suffers from anxiety, but has a secret. She loves to dance and she performs burlesque at the club.
Grim has seen her around the club house since she is friends with the MC prez’s wife. He sees her again at the vet and then later at the club. He is determined to make her his.
Amelie feels like Grim will eventually get tired of her like everyone else does and disappear from her life.
Can Grim convince Amelie that she is more than she thinks she is? Will she chase her dreams or will she let her anxiety ruin everything for her?.

He first meets Amelie at the vet's office where they strike up a conversation. Grim meet her again at the club where he get to see her dance. Instant attraction happens for both of them! If you love insta love, curvy girl, protective alpha males, this book is the one for you. I couldn't put it down. I loved how much Grim encouraged Amelie to shoot for her dreams and was so protective pf her! Great read!.

This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. Amelie has a secret! She’s keeping that part of her life separate from her own shy, quiet life. Grim is part of an MC and helps his sister run a club for men. They have seen each other at the clubhouse but have never spoken to each other.
Once Grim really speaks with Amelie, he becomes practically obsessed with her - especially after finding out her secret! Grim goes to great lengths to prove how gorgeous she is and with him, she feels beautiful. All the while he is having to deal with club issues. That makes for an interesting angle.
I love this book! This author has a great thing going with this series so I am enjoying it right now! Try this book and you won’t be disappointed!.

Um..... Holy smokes! I adore this series and am always so excited for a new book in it. This one is about Grim aka Grayson and Amelie. Amelie is in the book club with the other girls and is friends with Caroline, etc. So her and Grim have been around each other. It isn't until they see each other at the vet's office that obsession starts to build in Grim. 🥵🥵 He was awesome. He was quite obsessed with her and also super protective. He also built her up and supported her wholeheartedly. She was good for him too. They were seriously perfect together. I loved seeing the relationship build and their chemistry take off. This is definitely one of my favorite MC series. And I am super excited for Timber and Lindy's story next.

This was a sweet story between two really sweet people. The writing is entertaining and never lags and I love the concept of what the MCs are doing. Both of these leads are very likable. She is a daring woman and I don't think she realizes it because dancing that way takes guts so good for her.

She loved to dance and didn't realize she'd meet someone.

He was great with her and they have a wonderful attraction. He was not shy about wanting her! There is also a mystery going on. I again am in awe that she got the courage to go on stage to dance. What a bad teacher she had in the past. You lift your students up not tear them down. I am glad she met a man worthy of her. This was a great story with a lovely couple.

This was a great story that explored the life of living as a plus size woman with severe anxiety as our FMC pushes herself to pursue her dreams and love of dancing & burlesque.
Our MMC just loves the heck out of her & wants her to have everything she wants out of life.
We love to see it.

I’m so glad I gave this book a chance because I enjoyed it very much. Amelie is a very strong woman, although she is quite shy, but once she is on stage performing her burlesque routine she is a very different person. When Grim and Amelie meet the connection and sparks are immediate and as time goes on and they meet again they both know there is something that needs to be explored especially when Grim sees Amelie dancing at the club he knows that she is his woman and no one else will ever have her. I loved Grim and Amelie together and their respect and support of each other was what dreams are made of. Great book that I recommend.

MC member, Grim is supposed to be this bada** biker dude but when it comes to his little goddess, he’s just an ooey, gooey, marshmallow and he’d do anything to protect her… even from her own anxiety.
Amelie never expected to find a man that loved all of her hence her more sexy and outgoing secret life as Velvet Venus, a burlesque dancer at Club Wolf. Grim sees all of her though, he knows that Amelie and Velvet Venus are one and the same—now if he can only make her understand that.
This was just SO good! Grim was the sweetest man, capable of such tenderness, at least until Amelie overcame the little bit of control he had around her. 5 steam filled stars!!.

I wasn't sure I'd love this story, but I DID. It's different; and the characters are all interesting. Amelia's "issues" are realistic, well-written, and her personality is beautifully portrayed, even as she evolves. That's hard to do with such a limited page count, but Hallie Bennett has done it. Grim was such a sweetheart, and still a tough guy, but also a well-rounded and enjoyable character. I hadn't read any of the other stories in the series but have since gone back to book 1 and am enjoying them all. This is a lovely, well-written series and a new-to-me author I look forward to reading many times in the future.

I absolutely loved this story. Not only for the steamy relationship that blooms between Grim and Amelie, but also for the body positivity and mental health awareness in the story. Amelie is not your perfectly coiffed dainty heroine without a care in the world. She's overly anxious, plus sized, full of curves and full of self doubt of her worth. But she's also adored by her friends and family, and when Grim meets her, he's swept away with his adoration of her. He accepts her for all her flaws and loves her even more for them. These are the type of stories I love to read because when they end not only am I happy about the couple and their storybook ending, but I go away feeling good about myself too.

Amelie is a shy woman, self conscious about her body, and has a bit of anxiety. She has an alter persona known as Velvet Venus, where she is a burlesque dancer at the Club Wolf. When Amelie has to take her cat to the vet she meets Grim and Grim knows she is his Goddess. He makes Amelie feel real, that he really likes what he sees and he has to have her. It's instalove for him. But what happens when he sees her on stage at the burlesque night. This is a well written MC story, loved Grim and Amelie. Great characters and lots of steam.

Instalove MC story....
These books center around the heart sparks(instalove) in this wonderful small town. I think this series is better read in order, though you don't have to. This was steamy, but there is more to the story than that. I like seeing women overcome confidence issues and the men that help them do it. The quiet one dreaming of dance and being brave enough to sign up for a burlesque job. She becomes something else and loves how it feels. It's meshing her normal and her persona. This book makes you smile, always love dogs thrown in too. Good story with your steamy moments thrown in.
