3 Ass-Backward Stars ⭐
Finally, the truth has been written about how shit one-night stands can be. And I enjoyed every moment of this spectacle and essentially the momentous amount of groveling required to make this situation right. I struggled rating this book as there was some amazing moments, yet it fell short in parts.
"My vagina was seriously never allowed to pick another man in my entire life."
Abigail Roberts is accustomed to being the wingman for her bestie. So being approached by the gorgeous god in front of her, she is quick to palm him across. Accept Jordan is adamant that his attraction isn’t misplaced, and sometimes a girl should admit that she’s blindsided by her own insecurities.
"I don’t want a chance with her", he said. "I want a chance with you."
"My eyes flew up, and I couldn’t help my breath from catching. I wanted that, too. A horizontal, writhing chance. Or hell, vertical. Semi-reclined. I’d take any of it."
So, what begins with a hookup with immense potential, ends up being a Bad Night Stand with one hugely pissed off lady. And if that isn’t bad enough, an unexpected pregnancy will absolutely send you over.
Can I just say that this book seriously boggled my mind? Initially this story was laugh out loud funny and then you realise how badly they’ve messed up and it takes a turn for the worse. Because when two strangers understand they’re having a baby together and don’t necessarily like each other, the scenario will detonate. And I guess I enjoyed the realism in that.
"Uh-uh. I didn’t say anything. I most definitely did not say that my body is a confused asshole that still wants to have sex with you, even though you are maybe the worst lay of my life and—
From attraction, misunderstandings and instant parenthood, Jordan and Abby have their work cut out for them. Especially when you’ve missed the vital parts of dating, like getting to know one another.

I picked this up to read as I have previously read two other books by this author and seriously enjoyed both of them. 💕
This book however was surprisingly a bit of a mixed bag for me. While I loved the writing and the story for the most part, I found that I didn't always enjoy and like the MC's mainly based on their behavior.
Jordan actions especially. First he was sweet and then he acted like such a major a**hole and then back to sweet and considerate. I started to question if he might be bipolar!! Even the heroine referred to him as Jekyll and Hyde at one time.
Abigail for the most part was fine as the sassy girl, who has a tendency to blurt out whatever she is thinking without any filters but even she exasperated me at times. I really adored her girlfriends though and how close their relationship was. 💋
Don't get me wrong this is not a bad read by any means and I really did like it and I am definitely glad that I read this book but I also had a few niggly issues.
For one, I felt like there were too many subplots going on in the book- such as Abigail's nasty father and also Jordan's sick nephew(too much for one book). Even though the author still managed to keep it fun and interesting, they seemed to detract from the main story.
Recommended reading for anyone who enjoys the whole one night stand and baby on board trope. There do seem to be quite a few of those out there lately. 👣

This was a pretty cute story. Jordan and Abby were hilarious together and had me laughing so much while reading. I found them to be perfectly imperfect, which was a great change from the usual romance MC's that are perfect in everything. Though, Jordan was honestly a little hard to like at times, yet by the end he had me on his side.
This was my first from this author but I'm already looking forward to the next book. Definitely a read that I would recommend.

***4.25 Hammering Stars***
This is the first book I've read by author, Elise Farber, and it won't be my last....I guarantee that!
The writing was very good and kept me engaged all the way through.
Our heroine is Abigail and she comes from a very wealthy family although she works hard to make her own way. Her father is an evil, controlling, manipulative horses butt! Example: He purchased the company where Abby worked then fired her thinking that would make her come to work for him. Only problem was that she would have a secretarial/assistant type job because women did not get jobs that held power in his companies. He then purchased her apartment building and doubled her rent trying to drive her back home! Didn't work. So he is just a real sweetheart!!! NOT!!! I wanted to hurt him...severely.
Jordan is our hero and he is not well thought of at the beginning of the book. He meets Abigail at a bar. He is not a ONS kind of guy but he couldn't resist her when she invited him to come home with her. It had been a long time since he had been intimate with a woman and let's just say he was quick on the trigger. As soon as he lost it his phone rang. He stood up dressed and walked out the door without a word. Obviously Abby was very angry and disappointed in him. He didn't take the time to satisfy her in return...just walked out without a look or word.
We find out two months later when he returns to see her and explain that he was called away on emergency business. He was getting his ducks in a row to sell his business for billions and someone had put that sale in jeopardy.
It was on the day they reconnected that Abby was feeling sick. Very sick and following a bout of vomiting she passed out. Jordan took her to the hospital when he couldn't get her to regain consciousness and that is where she found out it wasn't just her hypoglycemia but also a pregnancy and a faulty IUD. At first he handled it well but then his memories began resurfacing about his father and all his father's women and illegitimate children. How they all tried to get money out of him for the births of all six or seven children. Even now two of those ex-wives and one ex-mistress still lived with him. So Jordan did what his father always did which was to try and pay the woman off, walk away, and get a team of lawyers ready to make her an offer and beyond that he was demanding full custody. Wow, what a way to win the woman whom you thought could just be it for him. He devestated her and shredded her heart. He had no clue who she was and how wealthy she was in her own right. If he had he would have realized she didn't need his money.
Then once that is worked out we get to see a sweet love story. I enjoyed this immensely and highly recommend it! I did mark it down 3/4 of a star because it slowed in places.

Bad Night Stand is finally the book in this series that I do like more. Other books are not so much.
I like Miss Faber sens of humor in this book. The banter between the characters are sweet and fun. Although the plot is cheesy.
The writing is not entirely flow nicely. Some part is choppy. I like Jordan. He is such a sweetheart although sometimes he said the wrong things.
Overall this is a entertaining book.

When a bad night stand turns into happily ever after. 3.5★
This was a really nice surprise for me. I've seen it on Netgalley, read the blurb and requested it. It was approved and I decided to read it next after Getting Schooled by Emma Chase. It didn't have any other reviews on GR, so I started with a completely open mind and to be honest, without many expectations. But it turned out to be so good.
Here's what happened: they meet in a bar and because there's insta-attraction/chemistry on both sides, she invites him back to her place for sex.
Pause to explain the first reason for my 3.5★: they were complete strangers to each other, but she trusted him enough not to use a condom.
It had been a long time for him, so he comes (she doesn't), then his phone is ringing, he picks it up, hears the bad news and walks out the door without a "bye" or a "thanks".
Long story short, the heroine got pregnant after this, but don't worry, life throws them back in each other's lives, to find their HEA.
Now here's what I think. The first half of the book was crazy good. I would have given it an easy 5★, because it was funny, intriguing and interesting. But then, after all misunderstandings were clarified, it turned a little vanilla. On the plus side, after an "asshole-y" moment from our hero, he redeemed himself pretty nicely. The whole second part of the book was nice and cozy, with just enough drama to make it "real".
All in all, I really liked this book and I enjoyed reading it (minus the hammer jokes).
You should definitely give it a chance and see for yourself how you like it.
I'm no expert, but I think Elise Faber did a great job with this story and she deserves her book on the "best seller list".
PS: the epilogue is basically a preview for the next book in the series and i'm hooked. Can't wait to read Cecilia and Colin's story too.

I wanna cry.
Just a beautiful start with a beautiful ending and an awful middle part.
Talking about missed chance.
This could have been a four stars if the author had developed it differently.
Sadly it was slipping on my fingers the more I read it.
The beginning was priceless.
There’s the heroine, a pretty cute young woman, who’s out on a date with her gorgeous bff, and the hero, who’s equally gorgeous, is attracted to her and not to her friend.
We love him for this, because he doesn’t understand why he should prefer his friend, a model gorgeous woman, to her, and when he goes home with the heroine we all cheer up.
It is good at first, but sadly the hero, who’s not a manho and we love him even more for this, has not had sex for quite a while and well, he’s over excited by the heroine and comes before her in exactly one minute.
Well, we can’t have all can we.
Then we hope he will make it up because let’s admit, he’s smoking hot. But no, he receives a call and he leaves the heroine high and dry running out of the door without even a back glance.
Wham bang thank you madam.
What???
Then he doesn’t even go back to her the day after or the week after, because well we could understand if it was a matter of life or death but hey, he knew her address and he could well make it up with her.
Sorry no, he waits eight weeks to go to her because business was important to him and when he meets her again she’s feeling sick.
Very sick. As in she can’t stand smells and foods and similar sick, do you get it? Yes she’s pregnant.
He takes her to the hospital because she faints and there they learn they are going to be parents.
Ok, he’s kind of cute because he takes her home, asks her how she’s feeling and then asks her if she’s going to keep it.
And there she freaks out.
And he reacts like a rabid dog, which was surely ott because after all she has just found she’s pregnant and she’s feeling sick and the hormones and so on, man show your balls.
Nope.
He attacks her like a rabid pitbull and tells her she’s a gold digger and he will call his lawyers then he storms out and comes back some day after with a crew of lawyers.
And papers, where he requires dna test and if the child is his he wants custody.
Really?
Really?
What has he been smoking that ate all his brain??
Ok the man was unstable and I was starting to love it because oh the angst! Like an old hp with the misjudged heroine and the mad alpha dog, ehem, hero who tries to bulldoze himself into her life with threatens and blackmail.
The heroine though, is not a poor clueless naive girl of olds, so she calls her bff 2 who’s the greatest lawyer of the country and the woman scares the other men away with simply one glance. Oh and she throws a bomb doing it because well the heroine is the daughter of a billionaire and doesn’t need money at all.
Does the hero make a step back? Does he apologize? Nope.
He leaves and there’s some kind of legal battle between the parts that ends when he meets her again at his ex company where she’s actually working.
Then all deflate.
They are suddenly talking and it seems to me they are five instead of two adults of 30 and something.
And they are all so cozy and he’s suddenly the nice guy he was in the beginning and wants to be a dad and is so attracted to her - again.
No apologies no inner thoughts- his- no shame for what he put her through and the heroine did just the same. No doubt that he could bitch out again without a reason, no time to rethink about their relationship not anything.
Wtf?
When exactly did he understand his mistake?
When did he apologize?
How did he make amend? How the heroine forgive him? Where’s the process????
Just for your info, he attacked her when she was just out of hospital, pregnant and alone, and went to her with several men trying to intimidate her when she was alone and sick, again, how all this, wonderful chance of angst and pain and redemption and groveling, suddenly disappeared?
Because from that moment on, after meeting again in his company, they are all kiss and cuddle and love and hot sex, without any more talk about the legal battle they were having until two seconds before, and that we don’t know anything more about.
Ok, after that there’s a lot of unhappy childhood and talk, and a lil sick nephew drama and everything that was , well yeah it was ok and not boring but the book deserved four stars, it could have been if the author didn’t lose herself halfway.
I still don’t know what happened.

The hero is really really awful to the heroine at the start of this story. He treats her like total shit a few times. They start with a terrible ONS and then progress to an even worse accusation by him. They have several separations (both staying celibate thank god) but eventually are drawn back to each other. I was a little frustrated with the heroine for taking him back so easily the second time - I think he needed to work harder for her forgiveness. But, by the end, I did feel like he was mostly redeemed. Quite a lot happens in this story, it’s pretty fast moving, and never boring. I’m looking forward to more books in this series, I’m hoping this series continues to be good.

An ok read. The first half of the book is not promising but the second half is good. The hero was jerk asshole and so many other things but he changes after the first half of the book. All the books I read till now suggest that heroines didn't have a sex life because they were busy with work. But here, the hero didn't have a sex life because of the work commitment. Changing scenarios is good I must say. My first book of this author and I want to explore more of her books.

I liked it!!!
I will start out by saying I get why people didn’t like Jordan and that his behavior early on in the book was less than stellar BUT I will say without that part of the storyline it probably wouldn’t have been as entertaining. I’m pretty sure that is what kept my interest.
Abby was likable to me the entire time since I tend to like sassy/sarcastic characters (probably because I am very sarcastic). Who friends especially Beth were the best…..totally hilarious & badass.
I know the whole 1 night stand-ish which ends up being an accidental pregnancy (nothing I’m giving up since you can read in the synopsis) is not a new storyline but I really feel like the way this one played out is what made it interesting, different and a good read.
Not sure I will continue the series since the next books don’t have good enough reviews to peak my interest.

I was hoping for something with a little more character depth. But it was still an enjoyable read.
Ridiculous coincidences abound, which seems to be a trend with Elise Faber. Kinda like a harlequin that's been modernized. You know? With an H that isn't a jackass for most of the book...
SOooo I loved Abigail! She takes absolutely NO shit from anyone. And not in an obnoxious bitchy way. She just says it like it is and walks away. Jordan didn't stand a chance!
The story reads like it's going one way when you start, but then a truth is unveiled and the stage now looks very different. This happens a few times as you read. But by half way the story is what it is and Jordan and Abby have to learn to deal.
It all starts with the One Night Stand FROM HELL. Truly, you will hate Jordan's guts!
But don't worry, he will apologize profusely when he needs to. She will take some convincing ; )
Their ONS is fruitful and it's a rocky road to HEA for the first 2/3. Relatives alternately hinder and help.
There's a sick little boy and his nanny (the h from the next book). Last of all a wonderfully romantic epilogue.
A fun romp that made me smile. The POV is almost entirely Abby's so her character is more fleshed out than Jordan's.

This book is too bad not to write a review about.
Too bad cause I really really liked the beginning of it and the plot had the recipe for a really good book. Half way through the book, it went downhill from there. I found Jordan to be a jerk to the highest degree. He was quick to accuse Abby without even trying to get to know her at all. That time when he realized he "loved" her, I was like bleh!
No matter how hard I tried I couldn't connect with the book and I found the connection between Jordan & Abby unbelievable. There was no development to their relationship. The book kept jumping like from point A to point C without even going thru point B. I had a hard time following it. Plus the author kept abruptly adding stuff out of nowhere just to keep the book going, like Hunter, his surgery, the trap they instigated for her dad, etc. Sigh.
Its just one big jumble of a mess cramped up in one book. Sigh. Won't be picking up any of this author's books in the future.

It's been quite a while since I read a book that's not from a favourite author in one sitting. That alone earned Bad Night Stand a 5 star rating. Add to it a female lead I could identify with and even my intense dislike of the male lead (Jordan) couldn't diminish my enjoyment. While the story is incredibly unrealistic the portrayal of Abby and her friends isn't. You see, my female friends and I have a private chat, with a "No Men Allowed" designation, in which we mainly talk shit, send each other pics of hot men and every once in a while the more talented ones share their incredibly hot and dirty short stories. And reading this book I felt like I'm reading one of our conversations. Especially when stuff like this:
Jordan pissed me off good in the beginning. To be honest I still don't like him because of his behaviour in the first third of the book. And if Abby wasn't so hilarious the manufactured drama (this books uses the tried and tested trope of miscommunication and/or total lack of communication to set the plot in motion) would have annoyed me and the end result would have mostly likely been a 1-2 star rating at best. But Abby and later on Hunter and the side plot got me hooked and I didn't have the heart to bitch about it. Or let it destroy an otherwise pretty nice book.
So to summarize: the book isn't something original, in fact it uses typical for the genre tropes, but is fun and made me laugh like a loon. And if you feel like picking a cheesy romance novel to relax I would highly recommend it.
P.S. The epilogue has me anxiously awaiting the sequel. It promises to be hilarious.

He brought every single Thor fantasy to life - the short-haired, shorn, lightning-bolts-on-the-side-of-his-head version.were seamlessly introduced. I'm pretty sure we've spend way too much time waxing poetic about the new and improved Thor version. Talking about Thor, the hammer jokes Abby makes throughout the book had me roll on the bed laughing. I have highlighted a few to share with my friends later. Preferably while spamming said chat with Chris Hemsworth pictures.

Bad Night Stand by Elise Faber is the First book in the Billionaire's Club series. This is the story of Jordan and Abby.
Jordan and Abby meet and have a quick encounter so much so that she doesn't 'finish' before he gets a phone call and leaves. They end up meeting again and slowly she learns there was an emergency as to why he left. That night had lasting impact on them both mentally and now physically.
Really enjoyed reading their story.

It was so promising, not a manwhore hero. Hero who has been celibate for a while. Heroine who seemed strong. I loved the first sex scene because it was so different. The hero comes before the heroine could because it was been a long time for him. So it was a breath of fresh air from the usual sex gods who never ever fail make a women orgasm.
I loved the "twist" about heroine's "real identity". So it wasn't your typical rich billionaire sweeps off the poor girl. But seriously her mom seems the worst. How can someone actually let that happen to their 11 year old daughter and shame her instead of helping her!?!? Do mothers like this actually exist?
I love accidental pregnancies trope, I don't know something about 2 strangers now being bonded/connected in such a way and how they cope with it appeals to me.
I even tolerated the heroes' bipolarness. Like seriously, one moment he was all sweet and nice and caring and the next he was raging asshole accusing her of being a gold digger and demanding full custody.
Heroine was a bit of an contradiction. Confident but insecure. Strong but doormat.
What annoyed me is that he also realised his mistakes abruptly just like that. The author skims over the part when he realises he was wrong, and there is no real lingering feeling of guilt and regret. And heroine understands and forgives him too soon. Also I hate how she found it so hard to resist him when he was being a complete dick. This guy is trying to steal your baby! How can you be attracted to him. Get your shit together!
But I must say this is the first romance in ages that actually managed to surprise me with the plot. And it's not nearly as bad some of novels I have read. Probably better than most CR crap. Its TOTALLY safe. But I guess I couldn't connect to the characters.

I've been saving this for just the right "Billionaire" book:

What is that word Americans use? Ah yes. WHAT IN THE CLUSTERFUCK OF CLUSTERFUCKS IS THIS CLUSTERFUCK!
My. God. This. Was. Sooooo. Bad.
Thoughts that came through my head as reading this are:
Utter circus.
Mental gymnastic. It's the Olympics in there from overdramatizing to jumping to conclusions, misunderstandings and trivializing utter nonsense like getting lunch on work while ignoring and jumping over all the major things happening in the book.
All the men in this book inspire one thought: EW.
All the women inspire: Bleh.
What 20-year-old author thought this menagerie of all things ridiculous can work for a well established coherent story? Seriously.
The title should have warned me I guess. Also the whole surprise pregnancy is so 90s and just another hurdle the reader has to get through to get to the actual marrow of the story and these characters to find out THERE IS NO MARROW. Just trivial things thrown in to make it seem like these people have personalities when in fact they are just caricatures of the dorky girls mooning over their Disney HEA and creepy dudes that cannot string two brain cells together unless they involve focusing on the body of one woman or another.
I think there should be a warning label for all those approaching this book. Caution: Do not read unless you are a hormonal teenager and can recognize that normal relationships do not work as they did in this book and moreover the real world is far from this hyper-stylized, stereotypical, paint by numbers drama drama DRAAAAAMAAAAAAA!
And dude rich people problems are patently unrelatable for people with REAL world problems. 1%ter problems are noticeably disconnected with the challenges of what reality brings. It's all "Yeah, I know I had money and a nice safety net on any risky move I made and all the security that comes with it, but my daddy never luuuved me enough, waaaaah, waaaaah." I get that not knowing if people like you for you or for your money can be a relatable challenge and when written well can be presented in a valid way that the reader can relate to it. But boy oh boy was it not done well here. The way this story tries to portray those problems as understandable is absolutely unrelatable and makes the writers who make that attempt even more disconnected with reality if they think they succeeded in making their readers emphasize with their characters.
Listening too all these 1st world problems of the characters while knowing all along they be like:
Ok everything the author could show into this book she did. We have: first time hook-ups. Baby drama. Childhood damage drama. Parents of MCS mortal enemies drama. For real, like the Capulets and the Montagues Shakespearean drama. Body insecurities drama. All men are single thought monkeys with bad (not even cheesy, just bad) pick up lines that are still in this day and age just focusing on the woman's single body part like they never learned that tacky never works. BFFs drama. h with mental damage and zero coping abilities except verbal vomit that she likes to bring up frequently. Critical dramatic moments glossed over with insignificant ones for lols I guess? Penis jokes. Super hunky H, but also super hunky H that is into our less attractive h. Rich people drama. Focusing on body positivity for all our female characters, but objectifying the men characters as uber worthy cuz they look like a ken doll. Sick kid drama. Damaging rich parents drama on both MCs sides. Haven't even gotten to the part when the parents show up and start nosing their issues into the MCs business. Expecting it to happen any time now what with how heavy loaded this story is with one thing after another.
Should check with the author if she got everything when she was ready to write this book. Not sure but from the image wanna check that she didn't miss anything.
All of it is not even spaced out properly or integrated into the story. It's just one thing after another piled on without even having to resolve a previous drama. No wonder these characters never seem to take in any of the arguments they have and all the H has to say after being properly chastised by the h is "Are you done." Booooy she wrote them dry and shallow as a martini glass. How is a reader supposed to get invested in this kind of ridiculous, overblow, soap-opera, oversimplified characterization of men, embellished portrayal of women kind of story? I mean it killed the feminist in me for real. Its one of the worst examples of double standards I have read so far. Women are these guilty party always a pray to men's objectifications and predatory attentions and they have no voice of their own. How about fuck off. That's a pretty strong voice to use to all those men that are constantly hitting at the female characters or showing them unwanted attention. They deserve not to be objectified for their bodies unless a hunky Thor like figure of a man shows up in which case they get to comment on his physique and make all sorts of penis comments to his face. Get bent with your twisted feminism.
Don't even get me started on the continuity errors galore.
In one scene we have:
h: Is confronted by the H who is rocking some sort of nasty smelling smell and has repeatedly puked over it in the past.
H: stays a distance away as he confesses he hasn't shower in 2 days.
h: Comes in closer and sniff and says he smells heavenly.
H: tells her a sad story.
h: Comes in closer to hug the H to comfort him for his sadness. NEXT moment says she is turning her head away so she doesn't puke.
It's all very funny.... not.
Woman, didn't you just say he smells heavenly? Is that a fib to put the guy at ease? If so why does she barrage him all the time with his sexual performance issue the ONE time they were together? That is pretty emasculating don't ya know. These kind of contradictory actions and sayings appear in the book every scene we get. It's actions like these that give women a bad rep as finicky, fickle, frivolous creatures that get to blame these reactions on hormones, but god above help any man that is confused by such behavior in that case they have no understanding of women and it's all their fault, the men's' I mean. Wowzah, poor poor creatures that have to deal with that.
Offfff course the author wrote the MCs as totally clueless when it comes to relationships and proper social interaction as every interaction they have is just misunderstandings and jumping to conclusions for drama sake. Buuuut to offset their utter ineptness to navigate their developing feelings she makes them complete geniuses in their work field. Boy and girl wonder to the rescue!
Cue trumpets.
I should point out that I've noticed that men with blond and light color hair are more prone to male-pattern hair loss in their 40s or later if they are lucky. It might have something to do with how thinner and light in pigment lighter colored hairs are and thus not as sturdy at standing the test of time. Example Prince William:

Personally doesn't bother me. I always held strong, well filled out, personality holds more sway than strong hair. But seeing how single-mindedly focused this book is on psychical appearance, as seen through every character's worship of Thor, I feel this bears a little warning for all those who worship the H here for his ken like physique and nothing else.
Geez I think a lot of the icky interaction between yucky man the author deliberately chose to portray like sex obsessed monkeys could have been rescued if the female characters just said "EW" every time the men said anything remotely sexist. It's like training a dog. Hit it with the newspaper enough times and it will learn it is not appropriate to mark it's territory all over. How about using that "verbal vomit" thing the the authors just LOOOOOOVE tossing in there for funsies for better use huh? I guess not, gotta sit through this sexiest ick fest where the women do nothing when men hit on them in disguising ways and then wait on their Thor hero character to rescue them. Go woman power!
And that epilogue, oy vey.
One day in the future I do hope someone will compile all these bad fictions and point out how wrong they were for trying to push some sort of distorted agenda and point out how bad they were for any cause they tried to promote. No matter how much of an escapism it is, the escape it offers is to a twisted place however innocent it may seem.
Pass on the next book. And BIG pass on the author.

Geez I think a lot of the icky interaction between yucky man the author deliberately chose to portray like sex obsessed monkeys could have been rescued if the female characters just said "EW" every time the men said anything remotely sexist. It's like training a dog. Hit it with the newspaper enough times and it will learn it is not appropriate to mark it's territory all over. How about using that "verbal vomit" thing the the authors just LOOOOOOVE tossing in there for funsies for better use huh? I guess not, gotta sit through this sexiest ick fest where the women do nothing when men hit on them in disguising ways and then wait on their Thor hero character to rescue them. Go woman power!
And that epilogue, oy vey.
One day in the future I do hope someone will compile all these bad fictions and point out how wrong they were for trying to push some sort of distorted agenda and point out how bad they were for any cause they tried to promote. No matter how much of an escapism it is, the escape it offers is to a twisted place however innocent it may seem.
Pass on the next book. And BIG pass on the author.

This was book 1 in the

series. Abigail "Abby"Roberts meets a hot sexy guy in a bar on a day that she finds herself without a job. While getting hot and heavy the guy leaves her unsatisfied when he gets a call and leaves. Jordan O'Keith just sold his company and is looking forward to lying on a beach so where when he books up with Abby. To months later he runs into her at a bar he tries to apologize to her for having a hair trigger but she gets sick so he follows her she gets even sicker and he takes her to the hospital where they learn that she is pregnant. This was a good read Jordan thinks Abby is a good digger and brings his lawyer's to her house she calls her friend Bec who is a top lawyer in the state when she drops a bomb on him. Turns out Abby is rich her father and his father are enemies. Abby gets a new job at the company that Jordan use to own the same company that his sister owns. This book had some funny scenes in it like Abby puking on Jordan in the conference room and them taking a nap under the table. This book had some great secondary characters Abby's two best friends Bec and Saraphine I also liked Heather Jordan's sister. I also felt bad for Hunter Jordan's nephew who was sick. This was a good read and my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

That has to be the worst one night stand ever. I mean, wow! Then they meet again and he makes wrong assumptions which leads to drama. They meet a third time, and it's a charm. They make amends and head off to HEA.
The epilogue isn't for them, but a teaser chapter for her friend's HEA.
I loved her and her bffs, plus his sister that I wish I had the rest of the series and time, lots of time

I was pretty sure I picked this one from the erotica selection, but now I'm not sure anymore. A dramatic but entertaining story of how a one-night stand has everything to go terribly wrong or wonderfully right.
The epilogue is an introduction to the next book in the series, with Hunter's former caregiver.

Got too much whiplash from Jordan and his reactions that I couldn't even enjoy the story and then it got pretty skimmable. I mean like c'mon this guy didn't even start off on the right foot... he pumps&dumps (sorrynotsorry) on his hookup and then leaves cos of emergency work call without saying a word to Abby or even giving an explanation to his exit, just rushes the hell out while Abby's just like welp okay where's my O. I mean... can you really come back from that? Also given all the different drama and stuff going on, I couldn't really muster any care for the romance or plot.

Sorry DNF for me
While Jordan's point of view was told in 3rd person Abby's was mostly in 1st. The constant change between was annoying . There was nothing really different between this story and and hundreds of other similar stories rich man knocks up woman after a one night stand. Nothing exciting to keep you wanting to read to the end. Sorry wasn't for me.

3.5 stars — this was a cute book with a HEA. I just felt like it was a bit anticlimactic at times and the ending was rushed. It didn’t give me a satisfied feeling. Nevertheless, it was a good quick read.
