I've been wanting to read one of these smutty pieces by this author for a while, and the “plot” in this short story appealed to me.
I don't think the author is for me. I can see what is appealing but the style of this story was rather poor for my taste.
I was bored for the first 30 of the 60 or so pages. Sorry, the introduction of the characters and their inner monologues were not particularly exciting. I did like Leo though.
However, when Leo and Ezra finally meet properly, everything happened far too quickly. Well, I mean, it was hot and exactly what I expected from the sex scenes, but the communication, the storyline was so silly ...
I don't know how to put this, of course erotic short stories don't have to shine with their plot, nobody expects that, but it just didn't work for me here. 🥴

I appreciated the smut, it was well written and there was much more to be desired, for sure.
But that part with Noah and Henry with Leo getting prepped for the potential threesome everytime they met? Cringed me out.
Why?
Because Leo and Noah were just friends and Henry was a possessive boyfriend to Noah, it was never even remotely indicated a threesome would be an option, so that prepping seemed out of place and almost a bit desperate.
Especially with Leo saying he can't be with anyone else, because he's so hung up on Ezra, yet here he is, prepping for a threesome that is never happening, it was ridiculous. 😄
The sex was great and both MMCs hot, sexy and intense with each other, and no, it's not that developed and I wish we could've gotten more.
I don't like the single dad trope though, the kid always messes up the story for me, so the epilogue of talking about Leo becoming Miley's papa kind of ruined the whole deal. Instead of that I'd prefer another hot sex, but that's just me.
Hopefully we're getting more shorts, I like them, even thought I'm rating them most at 3⭐, but I like them.

I also wish there was a bit more plot to it since the way they went from speaking more than one sentence to eachother to full on getting to it in the guest bedroom of their friends house….. kinda left little to the imagination.

Even though these are novellas, there’s still a clear backstory, fleshed out plot, and HEAs! They make the perfect little taboo treat! I've read every one of these short little novellas and they never disappoint when I just want a spicy read that's quick. Especially when I want to add more to how many books I read in the month. This one is no exception. It's sixty-something pages of filth, but it's also sweet. Those little moments we got of Ezra and his daughter Miley. The end with Leo and Miley. Not to mention the cameo of one of my favorites from these spicy novellas. While the daddy kink can be hit or miss for me depending, it wasn't bad here.

It hops ahead and ends with a HEA with the little 4 year old who seems entirely like 4 going on 14 with her questions and assumptions about how the two men will be together. But it was fine, with some sexy daddy/boy times, but it's not a full relationship book.

This is a cute little romantic erotica. By that, I mean there’s a HEA and brief moments dedicated to the romance, but it is erotica focused first. Some decent scenes, the daddy kink is really light. I wish there had been more for the actual edging kink on page and not just the aftermath, though!
